  • Voice lessons should be called, "Let's make funny noises time." All joking aside, these funny noises serve a purpose in the developing, maintaining, and/or rehabilitation of the human voice. Vocal sirens and lip trills/lip bubbles are some of the best exercises for vocalists of all levels to expand and maintain their range by stretching out the vocal chords gently.
This video contains how to produce a lip trill and leveled exercises to help expand and maintain your vocal range. For the full singalong exercises, visit my Patreon Page.

Hi Friends! This reverse triangle and visual is going to be key for singing this Saturday's Ukulele Tutorial. Hint: It's from a Disney Movie. Any guesses?

I've been a singer, pianist and musician for about 27 years now.. I started doing lip trills every other day to songs I would find difficult to sing because they were slightly out of my range... I can confirm that lip trills DO help to increase range but it doesn't happen over night.. Much like most other things to do with the body - it can take months to develop. I can sing songs now that I couldn't before and that was because I did lip trills a few times a week. I'd sing the songs but using trills only. These days I do it every day as well as vowel practices. Don't forget that it's not a bad idea to give your voice a rest for a day or so every now and then because, as I said, things need to build and that takes repairing.

Good, I've got lots of space in my head...for your singing lessons. Ahh cool, that up & over air technique and I needed to use the fingers for the trills, actually sounds good, both techniques are very helpful. Soon I should be able to Kazoo like you :) Need to practice the trill's around my plants 🌊💦💧Thank you again, this makes sense. Yes you are our Singing Sensei ♥♥♥

These videos about vocal slides, sirens and glissando (and this is one of my favourite videos about that) are one of the most important videos on CZcams in my opinion.
Sadly reading in the comments of these practice vocal videos, that people don't have a place far from people to sing loudly, and to play aaall the possible sounds from the human voice and experiment.
What i wanna try when i can is to found a secret cave far from a civilization to be able to sing all i want without anyone listening heheh

Too early here to do these exercises, but I look forward to try all of these. The 'lip buzz' was something I did when taking a course based on the Seth Riggs method. Thanks for the lesson.

I’ve heard of Seth. I’m sure I’ve practiced some of his techniques sometime in my life 😀. I hope this helps. How early is too nearly for you? I had to give voice lessons at 7:00 In the morning for a season. Can’t say anything was accomplished at that time .

@@OneMusicSchool I am in California and I don't want to disturb the rest of the household. 7:00 here so I'll just wait until the sun's a little higher in the sky. Thanks again for the lesson, I love your voice.

    Hey there!
Just found your channel, I've been taking vocal lessons when i was in my teens, but that's 20 yrs ago. I "lost" all my ability and would like to start back up again. What would you say is the right place to start? Thank you, appreciate your work, cheers Michaela

Try to make a clean, loose buzz and make sure it’s supported. If you can’t hold it for a long time, use the Patreon exercises video to help. I have leveled lip trills that will help you elongate the trill over time. I hope that helps 😀.
