- We finally have a loadcell option for the Moza SRP Lite pedal set! Is a loadcell worth it? In this video I install it, take it for a drive and compare it to my VRS pedals that I use currently.
Go and check out the mod here: alien-mods.com/shop/product/s...
I have no affiliation with Alien mods, but I did receive this mod for free for review.

you finally hit 1k man, great job, keep at it
@stupidpieceofequipment thanks for the support!!
Great video! This will definitely be my first upgrade!
Super interesting! Never heard of load cell mods before but fair play to Alex and his hard work!
@groatesque WHAT! Logitech mods are a whole new eco system for you to explore!
Amazing! I loved how you filmed the install guide! So easy to follow
Great mod Alex, hope you get some orders!
I have nothing to say except: I bought this load cell kit thanks to your video. Can't wait to finally receive the kit and be able to push the limits. Kind of ironic... pushing the limit.
@StevenRegna I hope you love it!
Thank you for the insight! I just placed an order!
@elenaandrei1784 I'm sure it will be a great upgrade for you!
I find that this load cell kit works flawlessly. A real upgrade for your pedal set.
@alanhaynes7410, awesome! Do you use the kit elastomer? Will you consider swapping it out?
@@MichaelSmithRaces I'm using the one with the performance kit but I'm going to try what you did with the part I took off.....
Literally just bought this.
@andysonofbob2599 awesome, I'm sure you will like it!
Great video! I wish it covered a little bit more technical details as well (like what is the minimum and maximum forces that the sensor is rated for), but it also raised some points that I didn't really think before how the mod kit turns SRP-Lites into a a very accessible platform for further mods with 3rd party elastomers and springs.
I had been in touch with Alex on reddit before, and he seems like a very enthusiastic and friendly guy. My mind was pretty much made up about purchasing the mod kit, but your video definitely reaffirmed my decision and pushed me over the edge towards placing the order. Can't wait to receive it soon!
@RolandsSh Thanks for the comment, you will be very happy with it! In terms of forces, thats a fair point and to answer the question: as light as you want will register (some people add a deadzone for resting your foot), and as heavy as you will want to push. Thats the cool thing about a loadcell, its really just down to you to set min max in the software!
It looks like you have the beefy pedal plate. I have the prime lite with this new pedal plate and i was wondering if you have yours installed normal or upside down?
I have the rs12 seat which is totally flat. Initially i had the pedal deck installed normally but it felt too high in relation to the seat. So i flipped it, but now it feels too low. The main issue is i have the asetek forte pedals which are very upright. Like 90 degrees straight up, so it has all been a bit uncomfortable. Just curious how you mounted your pedal deck on your rig?
Your prime lite review was very informative. Thanks 😊
@diddly3000 yes I have the pedal plate flat. I pushed it down as far as I could, when I measured it was 17.5CM from the floor. I use VRS pedals which are vertical. If you have not yet seen I have a video on the trak racer universal seat mount, which will allow you to tilt the RS12 here: czcams.com/video/lWx465EMh2s/video.html and in my RS12 seat review I also mention it. See my bucket seat video and you will see that I'm really glad I upgraded to the Sparco seat though, and I would get that with bucket seat brackets personally then you will have the right tilt and a solid seat! Hope that helped, email me if you want to talk more :)
Great video as always! Btw, is there a way to contact the load cell mod creator? I'm planning on buying it but sadly there's no option to ship to Singapore. Thank you!
I have let @alexlupascu3605 know you are trying to contact him! Email me if you dont hear back, my contact info is in my youtube bio, and I can pass on your details.

I am using the loadcell mod with the brake mod and SRP accessory kit. Works well, but haven't received a stand yet to give an honest review. It is possible to use those pedals on the floor against something, but need to give them a little angle so the pedal's plate doesn't raise - I am using the pedals against a sofa (+ created a slight angle from the cardboards received from Moza), however I can make the sofa slide if using too much force. It works, but definitely takes time to get used with such a volatile setup, better to immobilize those pedals. Anyway, SRP accessory kit can be used for additional stiffness.
@krizz0rr yeah you certainly need to mount the pedals as you make them stiffer! A rig gets to be vital at a certain point, and I'm lucky to have a dedicated space!
Hi K, you definitely need a stand to use loadcells I'm sure I didn't skip this aspect when we spoke - you need to be able to consistently apply force on the sensor so a sliding pedalbase will negate the benefits. Please use a sturdy setup even if you have to make it out of wood. My rig is 4040 aluminium profiles and you can get a similar setup for less than 300euros shipped.
Does the plastic thingy come with the kit? If not where did you get it from?
Edit. That plastic is from the brake mod?
That's the piece that unbolts from the bottom plate of the performance kit. It's worth a try! you might like a pedal with less travel and don't even know it. Michael's elastomer is way too soft and offers little 'dynamic range'. Mine was the harder version PU but I found Michael's hack surprizingly precise (I do have a rubber piece inside the red spring however)
@@alexlupascu3605
Ahh. Would it be possible to share where you got the rubber that you used so I can get one? I think it might feel a bit weird without.
That said my brake mod is less than two months old, so may feel OK?
@@andysonofbob2599 It's a piece of a rubber flexible tubing I had lying around that has the exterior diameter exactly the same as the interiour diameter of the red spring so it slides right in - I cut that to 30mm and that's it. the interior diameter of the hose is 8mm I think so does not touch the center rod.
@@alexlupascu3605
Ahh.
Did you say you used the rubber slice to soften the hardness of the spring to plastic connection?
If so, I guess anything rubbery will do? I bought a couple of elastomers when I first got my Moza. (A complete waste of money because I didn't know what I was doing.) They're not a perfect fit but just about, I might cut one up and use that as a rubber washer?
@@andysonofbob2599 Not exactly - the spring still sits on the plastic piece that connects it to the elastomer. What I did is insert that rubber inside the spring so the spring never gets fully compressed but feels more "hydraulic" as it's harder and harder as you press since the rubber has nowhere to go
I just purchased the mod, how long did it take for you to receive it? It says it is currently on back order and I am curious.
Hi @SebJ2522 the mod was sent to me for free as a reviewer so that wont be relevent, but I know that the mods are made by hand and Alien-mods are waiting on materials to start on the next batch, hopefully some others can comment on delivery times, but I saw someone order one after my review came out and they got it in a few days! Im sure you will enjoy it a lot, will be worth a little wait! :)
@@MichaelSmithRaces Ahh thank you! By any chance, do you know anyway to contact the seller of the mod? On the website there is no way of contacting them.
