You were absolutely right about your perspective of Immigration Officers (across the U.S.). I myself is a retired Immigration Officer. If you were to rate me, I'm pretty sure you would rate me high on your chart because I am a nice guy like the lady you described in your video. I made people comfortable when they enter my office for interviews. I went out of my way to assist those who use wheelchair to get to my office, allow small kids to accompany their mother while absolutely no one else could help them during this critical time, and I used my Chinese language to assist my colleagues who urgently needed my help for their language strained cases. And "yes", you really nailed those not-so-good ones. I couldn't agree more. Thank you for an outstanding job, Jim!

Thank you Jim. Your advice is priceless to so many people including me and my overseas husband. We filed in April 2023 after marrying in January 2023. They just counted down the months and then weeks on my online account and then pulled the “your case is taking longer than expected” BS on us. 😢

    Dear Mr Hacking:
Thank you again for your always useful information. Arbitrary decision making by officers is not in the best interest of anyone particularly the Americans because there will be talented and wealthy people which their visa will be denied and on the other hand some not very eligible people might obtain a visa and this means the visa and immigration system of USA should move toward a point based system where personal judgements on visa applicants will be minimized and most of the immigration procedure of the applicants will be done and taken care by their professional immigration lawyers just like the successful models of Canada and Australia.
But this kind of changes require major changes in immigration laws which will also require a lot of changes in other topics like the topic and type and number of immigrants being allowed to enter USA.
These will never happen until the people, politicians, policy and lawmakers of America can figure what they really want from immigration and what is their best interest in immigration?
