    As always, the key is to just BE HONEST at your interview. Visa officers have access to a surprising amount of information, so it’s better to just be yourself.

      Hello sir,
      I would like to ask you one important question, how important is your contact in USA when you apply the ds-160 because my contact is my brother and I applied with his previous address? Is it important to apply new ds-160 because of this address?
      Thankyou in advance

    I witnessed something at the us embassy that truly broke my heart when I went to apply for an us visa. I was right behind an elderly couple in the queue and I could hear every answer they provided. They wanted to visit their daughter who lived in the us. They told the interviewer how long they intended to stay for, how much money they had, where they would stay, documents proving the daughter was there legally, and several other questions to only hear in the end their visa had been declined as the interviewer was not convinced they would return home. I was a bit frightened when it was my turn but eventually I was granted the visa. It turns out my 10 year visa expired without me never visiting the us as I decided to visit some other places instead. If given the chance I would have gladly swapped places with that old couple.

      My wife a University Administrator and Professor was denied a US Tourist Visa 3 times. She is just 6 years from retirement. Plus the only reason for the Visa was onward travel to Canada and Europe with the US stay 5 hours or less. Wise ass official the third time greeted her, "Happy Birthday your US Tourist Visa is Denied."

    It really boils down to who makes the interview. When I went to the interview there was this official that was denying visas to EVERYONE. At the waiting room we were all nervous because everyone was praying this guy wouldn't be assigned to any of us. When it was my turn, it was such a relief it was with another official. The interview was pleasant, and I got granted the visa, but when I left and said goodbye to a friend I made in the waiting area, he said the guy was still denying visas left and right. I wished him good luck.

    Thankfully, as a Canadian, I will never have to go through a US visa interview. We can enter the US visa-free for up to180 days (many Canadian retirees do this and spend the winter months in Arizona, Texas or Florida). When we line up at the airport, we can line up with the Americans (that.line usually moves much faster) because we don't have to get our irises or fingerprints scanned, like all other foreigners do (though they do have full access to Cdn databases for crimes, health, etc so they know if you have committed a crime and can deny entry to you based on this). And yes, we can even study visa-free in the USA (however we do still need to register under the I-20 Student Registration program). When I got my pilot's license in the USA, no student visa was required. And the best part of getting the pilots lic in the USA is every single license, rating and endorsement is completely transferable to Canada, unlike EU, UK, Australia or any other country that has their own licensing requirements. (Only the PPL is transferable in most countries but not instrument rating, multi-engine, floatplane, etc.)

    Well, my experience was terrible in 2015. The officer was a female. She seemed upset when i went to her window and dismissed me outrightly. I was shocked. She only asked what my name was and cut me before i could finish. She then went on to the next question. Where will you be staying... i mentioned it and she asked what state that was in. Right after giving her ther answer she refused my visavand asked me to leave the window. Wow !! I was shocked. Well, i just went to Dubai for the holiday. I enjoyed it😂😂.

    I did not apply for a visa to the United States, but all visa centers in most countries of the 1-st world require a huge pile of documents. And if the decision is mainly made on the basis of an internal criminal investigation, a visa application form and an interview, then WHY the hell do I need to prepare this bunch of documents! I don't understand! I spent a lot of money even on the translation of documents and I believe that 90% of these documents are not opened by my officer at all. I would be glad if you could explain this side of the visa officer's job.

I was given a case, court date to prove that I changed school properly, my school provided that and the case was dismissed. Even everytime i traveled to USA before, I had to wait extra 30 minutes or so at a special room, just for them to check this thing. Now, should I say I was arrested? although it was not criminal? It was related to removal proceedings that was dismissed.

      Any place outside of your home country where you lived for at least one year after age 16

    • @ZFvisa
      @ZFvisa  Před 2 měsíci

      This is a great question! The process varies by Embassy/Consulate, but the officer will generally retrieve your file from your DS-160 confirmation page - either as you walk up to the window, or as soon as you hand the form over. This is one of several reasons why a Visa Officer cannot make a decision before they initiate the visa interview, and the answers you provide are crucial to the decision.

I wasn't deported forcefully but i left the country voluntarily. I have 3 children and we live in the UK. My wedding would be 15 years in May and I intend to travel with my husband to the US. We both have booked 2 weeks break. Our interview is next month April.
    My children and our jobs should be enough for the ties right.
    We do not have a house and we both earn salaries, so no business.
    I want to come back and share my testimony.

    Hello sir!
    I am applying for an F-1 visa, I visited the US last fall for an exchange program in a J-1 visa. Currently I am subjected to section 212(e). Can that lead to a visa rejection as by the time I will be going to US the 2 years requirement will not be fulfilled. And does having a J-1 visa approved previously increases the chances of getting visa again?
    Thank you!

    Pls sir, I applied for b1 visa to attend a professional conference, but I went and submitted before I knew that it takes time to schedule for interview. It’s a yearly conference but the date on the form I submitted for conference has passed before I could secure date. Should I fill another ds160 before the interview date to update the date for the next conference date

    • @ZFvisa
      @ZFvisa  Před 2 měsíci

      To be safe, it would be best to upload a new DS-160, but note that you may need to schedule (and pay for) a new interview if you do so. As an alternative, you can also keep your current DS-160 and note the new conference dates at your interview. Schedule a session with us at zfvisa.com if you'd like our help to prepare!

    My visa got denied last year due to me admitting that I’ve consumed MJ in the state of IL. I’ve lived in the US all my life and when I got denied, I had to stay in Mexico for a whole year. I have my next exam coming up in June of 2024. I have not consumed any MJ since I’ve been held back. I’m also doing their “recommended rehab” to show that I don’t have a genuine problem with MJ.
    Do you know of any similar cases that got an approval the second time around with a clean exam?
    Ps: I have two kids with my husband who is my petitioner and all my boxes checked out except for the medical exam.
    Any tip helps tremendously! Thank you!

      Details such as your travel plans can usually be updated when you arrive for your interview. Be sure to mention those changes during your interview, or if possible, before your interview, such as when your fingerprints are taken (this is often when staff work to make sure all data is up to date). If any key information has changed, such as a job, then it may be advisable to file a new DS-160.

      @ZFvisa  Před 2 měsíci

      It’s important to review your DS-160 before submission - whether you fill it out or somebody else does for you. Unfortunately in most cases, you must submit a new DS-160 form to change any information, and that may also require a new interview appointment (and a new payment of the interview fee). Schedule a session with us at zfvisa.com if you’d like our assistance!

      Prior travel is generally a good way to show that you have a history of trips outside your country, but it is by no means a requirement to qualify for a visa. If you do travel abroad before applying, be sure to mention your trips in your DS-160 application form, and schedule a consultation with us at zfvisa.com if you'd like some help preparing for your interview. Good luck!
