Dude im watching this at 4:08 am. And i already feel like i can edit on open shot. I lost my phone a few weeks back and i used to always edit on there. And i was trying to edit on laptop and i was losing hope. But then i found openshot and when i seen the editor i was filled with joy i wasn't overwhelmed like other editors i felt like it was on my level. I didn't know really how to do much but then when i seen this video i got even more hope. Thank you for this video it really helped

Very easy to understand and at a slow enough pace. You covered just about everything a beginner would need to know. This editing software seems to be very user friendly coming from using basic movie maker and wanting to upgrade a bit.

I’m basically a year late. But I agree with a lot of these comments. This was very well explained. I have add and my mind starts wandering with redundancy. I opened this app a couple times, started playing with it, but there’s so many different options with all these apps, so it’s overwhelming when I don’t have the patience to sit a tutorial. This was very well done eith that 10 minute explanation. It’s not like you did a miracle a taught me rocket science, but you gave me all the essentials to get in there and navigate through the basic fundamentals of the app. All the optional stuff with transitions and what not, is stuff that just need played with based on preference.

this video was really helpful because i just learned about what track 1 track 2 meant and how to use them to add photos on top of a playing video. Good stuff, i just use the multiple tracks to add either video or audio only.

Being new to Linux, I have found this presentation most suitable as a substitute for Movie Maker. Your presentation is concise and easy to follow. Thank you for taking the time to explain the functioning of Openshot. Might I take the liberty of asking you three questions?
1) Can a music file be in wav format, or is mp3 mandatory - coming from Audacity?
2) In a diaporama, are jpeg ii8mages preferable or mandatory?
3) Can I upload my music and photo diaporama to CZcams?

I just downloaded OpenShot and I'll be viewing this video many times in the future 😁 I did an accidental zoom on my first project because I was changing the crop settings on the end of the clip, which actually turned out great, LOL 😋
Edit: I guess it was scaling, not sure yet, haha.
