SOLI DEO GLORIA! - Hudba
Love schecter as a company, twice they helped me out when they didn’t have too, once they got me a truss rod cover of a limited edition guitar that hadn’t been made in over 5 years, engraved with that special edition on it when mine went missing, I emailed them asking if I could by a blank cover figuring I was out of luck, they made it up special for me and sent it free of charge.
Another time I contracted them about finding a source to buy a black chrome finished tuning peg as mine had the screw inside that holds the gear strip , they didn’t have anything to help replace it as it was a special finish for that bass that was out of production, but sent me the parts to replace in inside parts of the tuner so I could use mine again, for no charge again, not even shipping (as little as that’d be)
It’d be a company I’d be happy to buy from again and again
Sorry for the novel
you know what that makes me want on even more
Schecter has always been great not only in customer service like you said but their guitars are very good and affordable. Cool story btw
THAT sounds like a company I want to build my guitar!!!! Thanks Nik for this info - I LOVE guitar companies who help out BEYOND just regular service!!!!!!
The “novel” is much appreciated because the consumer needs to know that we can trust a company or not. Thanks for the info.
I had bought a Schecter at GC and all they had was the floor model that was abused. I asked Schecter the specs on the Floyde posts so I could replace them, and they sent me replacement ones for free. Great company.
I'll add it to the very long list of Schecter guitars that I want. At this point I think Schecter is about 90% of my wishlist.
They have everything for a great price with good looks.
I am lefty, believe me this is the only company that is really caring about our select community.
This finish is gorgeous. I think I've found a dream guitar I can afford.
The first thing I would play on this is Rainbow's 'Man on the Silver Mountain' 😜
Literally my first thought
Perfect!
Exactly the same, now hand over some hašiš to me
Hellz yeah!
Me too
That looks like it felts just the best for Metal or Hard Rock, especially those distortion tones! Thank ye for this one!
Day one of leaving a like on every RC32 comment I come across.
@@landen.c You need to dislike to counteract the positivity of his comments
I own the 7 string and honestly, I am unimpressed by its mid and low range tones, but surprisingly I think it really shines for soloing down at the bottom end of the neck. It gives a really juicy yet cold outer spacey tone when you solo there on this guitar especially with some delay and reverb on top. Kinda like what he's doing at 11:00-11:20 or so. But I find the 7 even better because you can hit the lower strings down there and get a lot of "thickness" due to the size of the strings and still have a wider range in that bottom area than on the 6 version. Maybe the multiscale makes a difference in tone too, not totally sure. I guess that's good for metal / hard rock for a solo or bridge of a song, not really my favorite for riffing and chugging though.
The finish is super cool but just wanted to point out it's actually pretty easy to accomplish. Paint the bottom black layer. Let it dry. Coat completely in silver, wrap in some type of plastic sheet, press where you want the paint removed and pull it off. And boom, you have yourself a completely unique finish that looks sweet and is within mass production parameters
I have to say, this is one of the most well made and informative CZcams sights out there. I have learned a lot from watching you. The down side is that I always end up wanting whatever guitar you're demoing.
sings in my best DIO voice "' your the man with the silver mountain "' lol
you're
The clean tones on this axe are outstanding ✌️💜
The “Silver Mountain” not to be confused with the “Silver Sky”. At least Schecter has put some silver on their model.
Ironically, this paint process originally came out on a prs, the multifoil prs
Hell yesssßsssssss, what I was waiting someone to review this guitar. I was looking at the Schecter C-8 multiscale LH for somewhile. Thank you Darrell, thank you.
No matter what guitar, it's always the guitar player that makes it sounds so good.
i do believe you are the first youtuber to actually play one of these in a video (ive been waiting). im buying my c7 multiscale version in a week. super excited. guitar sounds and looks great.
Beautiful guitar, thanks for sharing Darrell! I can see a bright future for those shred machines!
Love Schecter. Always set up perfect right from the factory, and all sound amazing!👍Great review DARRELL 🎸🤘🎸
Love your videos. I’ve never really considered Schecter before I watched your video on the PT Special. I recently picked one up at a good price and it is one of my favourite guitars. Thank you and looking forward to more great videos.
That axe is a looker! Sound as good as it looks to!
My first guitar was a schecter and 3 guitars later, it's still my favorite. The quality of the instrument is superb all for a very good price. Beats Gibson in terms of quality control by a landslide!
This an amazing guitar I bought the blood moon and is by far one of my favorite. Playability is awesome , light weight sounds amazing. Thank you Darrell for helping me pick this gem.
There are a ton of high quality instruments out there. So, we enjoy the luxury of choosing whatever we want. The reason I watch this channel is the part where "they get a chance to solo". Darrell has a style that I would consider beautiful. Rock on!
That's the Guitar for you.
Now you can play that song " . . . Man on the Silver Mountain", with a visual parody.
Perhaps "with " would be more appropriate.
" . . . you're the Man with the Mountain . . ."
Nice guitar and great review/playing. I especially like the option of the split coils and the resulting tones. I have an LP with a split on the neck PU that I love. I'm discovering SS frets are really comfortable to play. I'm an old guy who's been playing for 50+ yrs and I sometimes have arthritis issues in my hands. The guitars I have with SS frets require less effort/lighter touch. The difference is especially evident with jumbos that are tall as well as wide.
Loving it, from blues to rock to metal. Another winner from Schecter. It's all your fault for hooking me on Schecter's . 👍
Love the videos Darrell. For someone who is still learning guitar I appreciate your knowledge ♥️🔥✌️🤘.

Damn Darrell I wish every CZcams Guitar Video guy could play the way you do, I don't want to offend anyone but Man you are the Best and I have been listening to guitarist for over 60 years!
You are closing in on 500k subs Darrell.. I joined close to 2 years ago and I think you were around 200k... nice work from one Canadian to another.
Well done, Darrell, as usual. The guitar is spectacular-looking - that's a genuinely original paint scheme, and I like the arched top, as well. It might be the most versatile electric you've tested in terms of tone. It can certainly do metal, and sounds just like it should when doing so, but I was especially interested in the clean tones, which are excellent, and it sounds good split, as well. I don't play metal, mostly blues and country, and this is an instrument that sounds like it would quite competently perform both genres. It's way out of my price range, of course, but I can always dream…
Man, that 1-minute jam is definitely among the best you've done!
I was impressed with the clean sounds.
Love your tone!! Will definitely give Shecter a closer look when buying another guitar. Thanks
That bridge looks like the Gibraltar bridge from Ibanez! Actually hipshot made this as a replacement for Ibanez bridges
Jhonny Syckes Jimenez that is indeed the hibshot ibby
I NEED THIS!!!! NOW!!!
Yes, I bought an Omen Extreme, love that neck! Thanks for the Schecter reviews!
Absolutely gorgeous, think I've seen similar finishes on some Aristides, but of course they're about triple the price! Schecter seem to be killing it in terms of value at the moment
THIS is what I was drooling over from all the NAMM footage. omg!!!
hey man! just dicovered this channel, good content! love it when there's timestamps in the description, it's a small, but important touch! Say, have you ever considered playing some quiet instrumental music in the background while you're talking? Could be cool I think.
I love this one so much! What a spectacular design
Darrell: amazing musician and super humble
I love these guitars. I'm super happy they made the C8 multiscale for lefties. It's the only option I've found for Multiscale 8 string for lefty that isn't $2k+ O:
Schecter is bringing it.......I always enjoyed the models I played in the past but these are really stepping out.
Amazing guitar! I played it this week on the shop. It has an amazing feeling, the neck is more round, similar to the ESP Horizons. The neck pickup is very bright and lacks mids, they should have loaded it with SD Black Winters' to make it the perfect Black Metal Machine!
Closing jam sounded like flying to me. Loved it! Peace be upon Grinch!
Just received my 7 string Silver Mountain yesterday. I now am master of the Metal universe
Is it a heavy guitar?
Once again what an excellent review
Wow!!! That thing is sick!!!!! Love that ever model is unique!
Would love to see a Solo II in this line. Awesome finish, nice specs. Love me a bit of Schecter.
I'm always surprised at how awesome the clean tones are on pickups designed for aggression, but I rarely like the sound of a heavily distorted neck pickup.
Another fantastic looking and sounding Schecter guitar. Lots of interesting options for my next one.
Dang, that fretboard inlays som of the coolest I've seen!
Great playing, beautiful guitar !!
Just played the 8 string fanned fret one today...
It was an experience for sure
Schecter is absolutely killing it this year ❤️ would love to try out the 7 string multiscale version. Also, do you think it may benefit this guitar to throw in some different pickups?
@Russian Account Also a Schecter fan and owner here! I own a 2003 PT Blackjack that came with Duncan's so it's a bit strange for me to see Schecter shipping their guitars with their own pickups haha. Haven't had a chance to play on any of their in shop ones so was curious.
What the heck does "multiscale" mean? I have a 7 string Schecter, I can play more than one scale on it, I'm confused.
@@artiefischel2579 This is from Strictly7's website:
"Think of banging a giant gong versus tapping tiny finger cymbals together. With most instruments, lower notes come from larger, longer sources. Deep bass tones come from giant tubas, while smaller trumpets hit shriller pitches. Likewise, longer strings carry the low notes on harps and pianos, with shorter strings for high-pitched notes.
Traditional guitars, on the contrary, try to jam a range of pitches from all 6, 7, 8 or 9 strings onto a single scale length. That’s why certain frets may fall out of tune, higher pitches may sound brittle, and lower notes may sound floppy. The scale length may be right for one of the strings, but it’s typically not long enough for low, thick strings, nor short enough for high, thin ones.
A multiscale design fixes that. Instead of lining up parallel, frets are fanned out at an angle, with angled nuts and bridges as well. This simultaneously makes bass scales longer and treble scales shorter, giving each string its own appropriate length. On S7G’s Cobra S7 7-String Multi-scale Guitar, for example, the scales range from 25.5” to 27.5” for benefits across the whole fingerboard."
Honestly, Schecter is one of the only brands I know that actually make really good in house pickups. That being said, everyone has their own taste so it will benefit you by changing them if you're not into the sound their pickups produce.
@@MusingMuso Thanks. So 'multiscale' is marketing speak for the more descriptive 'fanned frets'? That's all well and good, though I can't help but notice that Bucky & John Pizzarelli, Robert Conti, even Javier Reyes on the solo work I've seen here on CZcams, all have standard fretting and I can't believe any of them would put up with flappy strings or buzzy notes, and they all use fairly clean tones where you could really hear it. Anyhow, thanks again.
Man darrell you sure have expanded your guitar horizon I remember back when I first started watching your videos they were like alright guys here's a brand new telecaster and now your like alright guys here's a new model for schachter and the 5th guitar from them I have let's check out the tones
*Schecter* my bad
That jam was absolutely amazing dude wish I could play like that guess I gotta practice more🤣
Hey Darren, some great work you are doing there. Been watching your videos for every information possible on guitars. In your Schecter series are planning to also include either of the PT 2020 fastback or the Hellraiser C1 with the emg pickups? Would love to hear from you what you think about them specially the clean tones and the classic chimes.
love the cleans!
Hi Darrell! I hope all is well. I really dig the new guitar.
That is a beautiful guitar 😍 definitely a metal machine!
I'm going to listen to Gojira now😜
Sounds beautiful.
I don’t do Shecter but this thing rules. The headstock is the only thing I don’t care for but this beast screams metal so it’s a winner. 🤘
Back in the 80s we called that "Bowling Ball Effect" and every lowrider in town had some version of that paint scheme. It looks great with a transparent candy sprayed over it.
Nice pups. Remind me of my SD Black Winter pups in my Ibanez.
Always Enjoy your Videos.....Thank you....Tim n Tina Klocker.
This guitar is absolutely beautiful 🏆
I think you've acquired a new taste in finishes...great review as always! Have you played a Sun Valley Shredder, very well built and the Seafoam Green ones are very pretty.
A silver top with a black back would look great. Matching headstock ofcourse. Necks are great
It's so beautiful!😍😍😍
You are the new quick guy xd, namm ended the last week and boom
Great review as always.
This is a 2020 guitar 🎸 plays the same from the first fret to the last.. Stainless steel frets, A wide range of tone control. killer paint overall quality very good. This is what we should expect from guitar manufacturers. Love the reviews so well done and awesome playing only one thing missing on the reviews is MSRP at end of video. 🍺
Surprisingly versatile tones, wouldn’t be for me but I have owned Schecters before and they were well made nice guitars.
fret board looks great👍
I have watched your review on Schecter guitar which caused me to window shop on their website. Later on, I found out that I just bookmarked almost every guitar series! But this one is so far a favourite especially with the colour scheme. Thanks for the review.
And apologies but 10:30 is one heck of a technique.
Wow that guitar sounds great!! I love Jackson, play a PRS but wish Jackson would take a lesson from Schecter and diversify their style of guitars a bit.
Nice to see a carbon fibre cavity cover not just cheap black plastic like on most guitars even on guitars that cost thousands of dollars, manufacturers usually cheap out on those 😖. Scheckter is stepping up the game recently more than usual!
UPDATE: It’s also available as an 8-string multiscale as well, just for extra fancy and proper djentlemen such as myself to play in low tunings without sounding flappy.
I'm having the lefty C8 multiscale Silver Mountain delivered next week! Djent and tech deathcore heaven to come!
I'm enjoying your vids Darrell! Just subscribed.
I was inspired by your comment to build a guitar at least once. Kits are a great way to test the waters.
So I've been on a quest for a kit that has a form factor like the Schecter C1 or Ths Ibanes S Prestige (with twin Humbucker routs). Have you seen any?
JUST bought a lefty 🤓🤓 BEST guitar I have EVER owned. I cant BELIEVE these pickups!!
When the Fretwork is so nice that it cuts right into your thumb. 😂 7:40
If you look earlier in the video before he even plays his thumb is injured/cut.
If frets could do that, I would have given up long ago 😂😂😂
Well this guitar when I first saw it I thought ,,,,,, Im not sure but once you started playing it I just sold me this is a great guitar with a great sound good job Schechter
Friends : why did you buy a schecter Phil ! Me: Darrell Braun dude !
The power of marketing
They have had my attention for a bit now ..they just look to fun .
I used to paint Hawgs like that. Very nice look.
I wish he did the one with the Sustainiac. I also wish other companies like Ibanez offered more affordable Sustainiac guitars like Schecter does.
Well schecter does, so you're good!
Just bought the Toxic Venom model for $850 brand new from Guitar Center. Such a great value and a killer axe.
I has 2 guitars after selling a few Fenders, allowing myself 1 more for a limit of 3...so many choices! I think it would look even better with silver metal PU covers!
Hey Darrell awesome vid. I once had a guitar similar to this one. Ibanez S-Classic in metallic bronze (Japan made I believe). Sold it years ago. Was probably my first real good electric guitar. I mainly play Gibson Les Pauls now. The S-Classic is discontinued now but if I wanted one almost like/better I get the Schecter.
I also have a guitar made by Godin. LG EMG. I haven't seen any reviews on Godin guitars on your channel except the nylon string one you have. Is it a brand you play much?
The finish is like a new crackle guitar
I bought schecter hellraiser extreme fr crbs. It is top model diamond series, sadly they don't make them anymore...best guitar I ever had, and will have it for life. Now I aim for some schecter strat :D
It's about time you get backed by Schecter :)
You've been doing them real good. That's not to say that Schecter wasn't already a really great company. It's my favourite guitar company ever. I've said it before and I'll say it again. Proud owner of a Damien elite 7!
I own 2 Schecters, a 6 String Apcalyspe FR Sustaniac and a 7 Diamond with Fishman Moderns. The 8 String version Multi-Scale is looking mighty tasty. I like the inlays way better than the numerals, I like the silver it looks mean as hell but I wish it would come in something like fuchsia on black or deep sea pearlasant blue that could look sexy. Awesome Guitars.
Hi. Great channel, great playing, great reviews... Can u make a review of a guitar with a sustainiac pickup plz ? The E-1 FR S Special Edition
for instance...
That guitar looks crazy but I love it.
I really like this paint job. When you held it up. But when you held it in playing position it looked too linear for my taste. Seems very clear tone txs for the demo
I ordered the 8 string version, should be here by Friday, I can't wait!
William Tomasichi you got it ?
@@alpertuncer1583 yes sir, it's amazing in every category but 1. The pick ups sound average. They're not bad, but for the 1450 I had to pay, they're not good enough. Everything else is great. It's comfortable to play, the action was perfect out of the box, and it just looks so beautiful. I will be swapping out the pups for Fishman's come payday.
I have to have one of these simply stunning
Holy crap that thing is gorgeous.
I wonder how he likes this compared to the SLS-Elite version. Pickups are different, of course, but I'm curious if he prefers the compound radius over the 14" on this one.
I might've seen this comment in your previous PT vid; I wish Schecter would make charts or at least have a description about their own pickups. I know the look of the guitar itself & the pickup names give a hint but it'd be helpful if they provided info on each.
It’s reminds me of a black version of the prs se multifoil which I have one, same paint process . It’s cool . Don’t need nor can afford another guitar right now, but it’s groovy
that guitar is a beast!
I'm not crazy about the paint job, but I'm more of a traditionalist that way. I'm sure it would be an attention grabber on stage though. The rest of the features, I love! They really do pay attention to detail, and the sound is great across the board.😉👍
