- Schecter launched an amazing new finish this year called Silver Mountain! This is the C FR-S model, featuring a Floyd Rose 1000, and Sustainiac electronics! Other appointments include an ebony fretboard, Grover tuners, stainless steel frets, set-through neck construction and more! This guitar is at the high end of the regular Schecter production guitar models and is powerful sonic force to be reckoned with!

Schecter. Hands down best value in the industry. Couldn’t agree more with what you said. Love the new axe btw!
That thing looks like a bad ass gun huh?
Agreed. And not only a great value, but also they have the Floyd Rose 1500 (which is the best Floyd ever made imo), and their Custom Shop Apocalypse pickups are my absolute favorite.
What about Harley Benton? They sell guitars for 400€ that could be worth at least double.
yeah i just bought the demon 6 for 400 its an amazing for the price
G&G, 100% correct. Also the ONLY brand to have the MOST left handed available guitars and basses period.
Schecter is batting 'em all out of the park. Excellent brand!
That's a beeeautiful Schecter, and owning four Diamond series Schecters, that is VERY worth the money. Excellent review, sir.
I was unlucky with schecter. The first one I ordered was red reign c7, waited for over a month for them to get it. When it arrived the part where the neck meets the body had a fat crack. The strap button was stripped (didn't fall out, it was just rotating in place it wasn't tightened and couldn't be tightened). Plus it also didn't look nearly as vibrant as it did on the site. For that much dough I just couldn't justify keeping it. Was a pretty big letdown and I had to send it back home and got a PRS SVN instead for half the price and better build quality. Shame really.
I've got km7 mk1 and mk2 booth with flaws. I have no luck with Schecter.

Face it, you're a PRS fanboy. Every manufacturer has their fair share of mishaps and shipment issues.
When it comes down to "value for money", *NOTHING* beats these Korean Schecters.
They´re extremely well build, have specs you don´t even see on expensive Made in USA guitars, like ss-frets or compound radius fretboards or carbon rod re-inforced necks. (to set this in perspective: Made in USA PRS and Gibson models doesn´t have any of these 3 mentioned specs!)
And unlike most import guitars, they have Made in USA pickups.Keep in mind: Schecter was originally an aftermarket pickups company,in the 70´s, before building full guitars.Their pickups are just as good as any S.Duncan or DiMarzio model.
agreed, PRS SE and LTD are close but no SS frets and pickups are more limited stock. The higher end imports go after the Strandberg Bodens and Ormsby stuff as far as how loaded they are imo.
Another thing worth mentioning: Schecter is extremely ''lefty friendly''.Pretty much every one of their production models is available as a lefthanded version.
Honestly I've yet to find a DiMarzio or a Duncan that sounds as good as Schec pickups, custom shop Duncans excluded and maybe few floor shop ones like the Seth lover set or the Pearly Gates
"You can go to Guitar Center and ask them to try out a Schecter and if ya' like it, you can go home and buy it on Amazon!' That had to be the best thing I've heard all year!! Thanks!
I'm rather surprised he said that actually. That's not going sit well with guitar retailers. Everyone knows you can do that but I wouldn't really promote it in a video.
Well I'm not sure if he's tied to any of the retailers but it sure gave me a giggle!!
He's not wrong. I wouldn't buy a floor model from a Guitar Center unless I got a significant discount. Floor models get beat up, I would rather have a fresh out of the box from an on-line retailer anyday.
I got mine from Sweet Water. $1400 isn't all that bad especially compared to the same quality from PRS, Gibson, Fender, ESP, or Kiesel. These have really have great quality especially where the neck joins the body.
I know🤫
I need a sustainiac in my life
Sustainiac or Sustainer, both work fantastically. I've had two of both. You can pick up a really nice Fernandes for about $500 with the Sustainer. Just sayin'.
Don't we all!!
Surely an awesome metal machine right there! Killer specs & build quality looks very nice. Thanks for another great vid, Max!!
I’ve never owned a Schecter, but I’m really diggin that guitar and the specs. I’ll definitely look into that guitar 🙂
Schecter's are great.
great guitars. I own 2 schecter and i can assure you will find something you really like
Phenomenal quality for price...I've personally never laid hands on a bad schecter in the past few years
They are great. Quality guitars.
did you buy one ? ;)
By the way one thing Max forgot to mention is that finish is not just a wrap like thing. It's actually some sort of silvering finish which is unique to each guitar. Like the pattern is different on every single guitar. It's really cool. If I were in the market for a higher end guitar this would be the guitar I would get. But I am still somewhat of a beginner, and I have a Schecter PT which I love.
Hydro drip
@@prestondoring2640 Hydro dip? Its a two stage paint process starting with a black base coat. The silver coat is applied. Before the silver dries they apply paper, or various other materials and peel them off. Once it dries, they clear coat and wa la. That's why each one is unique.
Love your channel Max
Keep up the good work I look forward to your reviews very informative and fun.you've helped me decipher through a lot of my gear buying.👍
0:24 I'm going to learn that lick note for note
Cool! That's one of the many techniques that I teach in my Guitar Solo Essentials program! (link in video description) :)
Bought this guitar last Saturday and she’s AMAZING! I don’t have any complaints and I’m glad to see you don’t either. Highly recommended if anyone is looking for a nice lead guitar that they will play often.
Dude, your content is amazing. Keep rocking. Thank you for your reviews. It has helped me with several purchases... I now have several schecters because of your reviews. Thank you
Damascus steel guitars are heavy but that swirly silver looks awesome 👏🏽 and with a sustainiac El to the Yeah🤘🏽
Dude you are getting way better ,,,, ( DAMN ) congrats !!!!!
Maxed out. Every episode you have that one little line that's gold.
I had a Omen 6 about 10 yrs ago.I can't come up with a good reason why I sold it. It sure played and sounded good. This one is the Bomb.
I can tell by your face when youre playing it youre loving the sustain. I almost got the sun valley shredder so cool, i would prefer this one so beautiful and the floyd looks amazin.
Dude I always loved messing around with sustainer pickups
So much fun!!
You the man Max, always bringing us the best!
Great tones!!!
Hey Max, thanks for using a working man's amp in a lot of your vids. The Silver Mountain sounds AWESOME through that Blackstar ID Core head.
Amazing Guitar, Max. and also very good playing. thanks for the video
one of the most beautiful guitar i have ever seen!i love it!" sorry for my english
Just ordered one and can’t wait
I haven't been paying attention to your sub count and with how high quality and consistent your channel is I'd just assumed you must have blown up by now, I don't get how you haven't
Ive always liked schecter and you are right they've really stepped up there game in the past few years... Ive got my eye on a few.! Man you do killer reviews bro.!
Thanks Bonez!
The intro sounds so good!
Great review! I could only imagine what this guitar would sound like in the hands of Vito Bratta back in the White Lion days.
I am impressed with them, they are putting out really good affordable guitars. Sustainer lost of fun. 🎸🤙
Amazing playing!!!
I love the look,shiny black with scratch silver pattern.the sound's just awesome,maybe it's you.
Great stuff Max, Thanks
thanks for the review
Always wanted to try out a schecter awesome thanks
Priced about $1,300.00 USD , definitely a guitar you could pass down in your family. Looks like they did a lot of careful planning before production.
That was the most awesome looking guitar in NAMM last month
That's a Max Guitar if there ever was one!!!!!......great content !!!!....have a great weekend!!!!
Nice channel, dude. Rock on!
I just subscribed to your channel, I really dig it. That’s a really gnarly guitar! I have been wanting to try out a sustainiac but haven’t had the chance yet... great video.
Thanks Bruce!
I own the Hellraiser-S which these are a spin off of. and the exact Blackstar amp in the video. Great combo!!! Schecter is a great guitar for the $$
Looks like I’m getting my first Schecter. This one!!!
Thanks , got the C7 FR-S Silver Mountain yesterday 😀
Good choice!
@@GuitarMAXMusic it's a backup for the main, Schecter C1 SLS Elite FR-S
If Schecter made a PT with this finish I would definitely get one. I love the PT I have.
Looks and sounds Brilliant!! No Shampoo or Conditioner for a while now!!
Wow, nice axe and great playing. thx !
That thing is beautiful 🔥
Hey Max great video! I love your new toy! I think Schecter has really up their game here lately! And you know I love their sustainiac pickups, just endless sustain! By the way the fretboard has a 16" radius! ,I think the one you have is one of their newer finishes, Silver Mountain, very nice! So you say It looks like metal, I guess you wouldn't know that unless you see it in person! That's even better! I've owned a couple of their guitars with the sustainiac, and I can say, I've never had a problem with them!
I keep telling myself. " Self", I would like to buy Schecter C-7 or the C-1 FR-S Apocalypse Red Reign, with a compound radius 12"- 16". For $1369.00. the price is well worth it, and like I said I've owned some of their guitars before, so I know what their quality is like, on most of their axes! Grade A! But like most of us we're on a budget around here! So, I guess I'm going to have to, buy it now, after seeing your video on Schecter!
I like your demonstration on the sustainiac! But if you would like to see another one. I found this other guy, and his name is Brett Funk. You can find his improvisation 2019 on CZcams! He does a really great job with it too!
When I got your video notification here on CZcams. It was with in 3 hours and 2.4k views! I think that's impressive! Just to let you know. Keep up the good work!
Thanks Max!
Great Shredding by the way!
See you soon, but not to soon.
Todd P./USA
P.S. Guys just to let you know that the Corona virus has been here in the states now for sometime! People in China are dying every day now! Please be aware, stay clean and stay safe, or say home!
God Bless!
I love my Shecter C1. I play my Gibson Les Paul most lately. but i will get to my c1 soon. make the wait for the Wolf WLP 750T I ordered go by faster
I have the schecter syn custom s and it is amazing
Love it when the paint continues all around the guitar too!! Never played any stainless steel frets, any difference in the playability? Sweet sound. I've got a crewcut and losing hair by the minute, so since I'm saving on shampoo and conditioner I'll be able to get 3 in case the first two break!
I'm a big fan of schecter. I've never tried the age stuff but all the schecter I've tried are great
Has anybody told you you look like the warewolf dude from twilight? Awesome vid BTW very informative and defo checking out the sustainiac pickups
Person: How many guitars do you have??
Guitar Max: Yes
Schecter is pushing the boundries in guitar manufacturing to the guitar players prefrences. I tip my hat and give a 21 gun salute to Schecter!
That is gorgeous!
Awesome review!! Love your channel Bro!! Gonna be checking out your Patreon!! Keep up the Awesome work and always stay Metal!!🤘🤘🤘🤘🎸🥁
Thanks Vino! \m/
Thank you Guitar Max! I am a thirty year drummer/ percussionist!! Been investing in some guitars lately... Your channel is a big help.. I am also a metal guy like you!! I love Hellion!!!! Metal for life!!!! \m/
Really good playing, and the guitar really is beautiful.
Subscribed, great video.
Thanks Travis!
That is a seriously good looking guitar.
Didn't know I needed a sustainiac- now I do. What a great sounding guitar!
They’re great! Although unless they changed the function in the last 2 years, they way he describes the sustainiac is weird and I’m not sure if it’s accurate, at least mine and all the other sustainiacs I know of are different. So it does have 3 modes, normal, mix, and harmonic. Normal will hold the note without any changes. Mix basically does a 6th harmonic, so not as high pitched. Harmonic does the full 12th fret, high pitched harmonic he described in the video. At least that’s what I’ve found out on my research before I bought mine lol, but he has the CZcams Chanel so idk I could be wrong.
Just gotta love been looking to buy since NAMM
The Barchetta and C1 designs look similar. That finish is super.
I have a schecter omen extreme 6 black cherry and it's great. Love schecter.
I have never been in the Schecters. But I have to say I like this guitar a lot!
You do a great job
Agree, very nice features.
I want a Harley Benton Fusion with a Sustainiac. And such a finish ;-)
Hey, sell me that Wolf, "PRS", quilt top behind you in the video. Seriously. Great vid. Schecter makes great stuff.
Sweet looker and player !
AWESOME!
You deserve the subscription
If I had the 7 string version of this, I'd never be able to play anything else again. Including myself...eh? eh?...I'll be here all week.
I am in love with this when is it coming to Europe do you happen to know?
It's all scratched up from the Devils claws ...🤘🏻🤘🏻🤘🏻
I know the look is bit hit or miss for some but I like it. Something unique and out there but no too far (the slime green version maybe is too far). Still looks clean love the fretboard and inlays. Looking into getting a 7 or 8 string Multiscale version myself although I wish those versions came with the sustaniac though but not a deal breaker for me. The value is through the roof regardless.
Every schecter I owned was simply amazing. I bought a c1 platinum for $550 new at GC last year and the fret work on it was amazing. Get the Korean made schecters and u won't be sorry. They really are quality products. The Indonesian schecters are great too but I really love the Korean ones.
Great playing Max enjoy the vids.Really ready to pull trigger on a purchase of one of those bad boys. Can you tell me what amp you were using and if you were playing directly into the amp with no over drive pedal.
Thanks
max, you are awesome!!!
Thanks!
Nisssssssssce 🥞
Definitely on my wishlist🎅
Very nice looking guitar 👍 👍👍
Plan on getting the Keith Merrow 6 string some day.
jesus these things are starting to look like weapons, just so decked out.
You had me at Sche
Schecter has really stepped up their game the past few years. I really am considering getting one, and I am mainly a strat player for 20 years. I have played 3, and they were amazing. Thank for sharing Max
New Jackson’s please Max. Great vid though cool guitar!
I've only played Schecter since 2000! Now I have 3 and I'm getting my 4th soon. They really have stepped it up lately.
I got apocalypse version and yeah man shit is amazing, super fun guitar.
Swoll guitar Snape hitting us with another demo
Look Danzig, that's a gorgeous guitar.
Seriously though, I love Schecter. I have 3. One with a Sustainiac. All of them are amazing quality. I've been playing over 20 years, and I've played hundreds of guitars. But Schecter is special to me. Production models feel like custom shop.
The guitar really fits your style Max. Enjoy your new axe!

How are Schecter Thin C necks compared to something like a Ibanez Wizard 2/3?
@@orbit6663 Have you ever played an Esp/Ltd? Schecter is very similar.
Less flat on the back that a wizard. Which I prefer.
So beautiful
and there are titanium rods in the neck for stability as well ;)
c1 on the sliver mountain , yeah
If you don’t mind me asking, I’ve noticed that you use various guitars but have pretty much stuck to the Blackstar amp. Have you ever thought of exploring different amps like the Boss Katana Artist? It would also be cool to see a review of amps like the Bugera 333XL
Schecter is my favorite brand
Cool guitar!!!
superb axe !!!!
10:05 mark. I'm sure you earned major points with Guitar Center...and Amazon for that matter! Ha!
Guitar Center PA ' max is outside, close the doors'
I want one!
Schecter is really coming on strong. They've always been a frontrunner and are now just getting noticed. I've got a Schecter V and love it. Great vid Maximo!
Oh hi Mark.
