- In this short review I want to present to you the brand new Schecter Silver Mountain C1 which was just released in 2020. You will get some sound samples from two of my riff lists featuring heavy riffs by Metallica and Rammstein - Du Hast, Master Of Puppets, Engel, Enter Sandman.... Furthermore I included a playlist featuring all videos where I used this guitar: Babymetal, Rammstein, Metallica, The Used and an upcoming video!

I’ve always owned Schecter and I love them. But my Black and Gold Eclipse has taken the top spot now, mainly because the neck is perfect for my hands.

What a beautiful metal beast! One question though... the back of the neck is glossy like the body? I mean, for playability, maybe the thumb slip a little too much?

What did you think of the pickups? I'm super torn between a silver mountain C-7 multiscale and an SLS elite C-7, the pickups will probably be the deciding factor.

How does the Silver Mountain compare to the Apocalypse? I can't find a comparison anywhere. I know they have different pickups, but otherwise their shape looks the same. I see on the website they have different woods for the neck and the knobs look different, but what difference does that make really? You said the SM is lighter, but I wonder why that is?

Very nice review , great sound and awesome finish . I was really thinking about getting the Schecter C-1 FR S Silver Mountain TXV , clocks in at 1500 € . But 2 points bugs me off : first is the painted net , 2nd they call 1500 € for it and it comes in a cheap ass cardbox only ...thats a No go for me , so i gonna go for the Ibanez RG652AHM-NGB Prestige or the ESP LTD KH 602 BLK. Both comes in a hard case . I´m unsure about the ESP tough cause its also a painted neck and its thin U- neck profile which i never played before ......
Well, I know it’s been a couple years since this was done but I wanted to get my son one but with the Floyd rose and the only question I have is.
Is the back of the neck satin finished?
Ohhhhh I don't remember anymore since the guitar left my rooms in 2020 already! But I remember it wasn't sticky at all! Very comfortable to play.
I got this guitar in the version with a Floyd Rose and a sustainiac just today from Thomann, but I didn't really get warm with it! I am so used to these Ibanez / Cort-X necks that I just don't feel good on a thicker neck.
I went to buy the C-7 FR-S model about a week ago and apparently as of like 2 days ago it has been discontinued so my order got cancelled. Sucks cause this was my dream guitar.
I'm surprised you say it is much lighter than the red reign one. They look like they would be the same weight. Trying to decide between this one and the red reign one actually. Schecter have really be killing it with their guitars. I think I'm going to wait because it seems like schecter keep releasing new colors in their model. Something tells me the next one might be purple.
I feel like Schecter are an underrated company. They make really great guitars! At first I thought the finish was cool looking but maybe a little much, but it grew on me very quickly, and it sounds fantastic! Those Schecter pickups are great. Also, holy crap, that was some awesome sustain! \m/ Nice review of a great guitar! :) What don't I like? That you buy a 1,000€ guitar, and it comes in a cardboard box. Not even a gigbag? What's up with that?

Wat. I had an apocalypse red reign and I thought that was already light as fuck. Like too light. Like it doesn't feel like quality type of light. I like my stuff to have some weight to it. So if this is even lighter than the red reign then that's pretty insane
