- Luv' is a Dutch all girl singing group that scored a string of hits in the 1970's and 1980's in the Netherlands. The group consisted of Marga Scheide, José Hoebee and Patty Brard.
This was one of their greatest hits, reaching #1 in the Dutch Top 40 in the summer of 1978

Ich hab diesen Song seit locker 40 Jahren nicht mehr gehört... und kann mich nun seit Wochen nicht mehr daran satthören! Und auch nicht satt sehen: Besonders der sichtbare Spaß an dem Videodreh von Patty Brard ist immer wieder ein Freudenbringer für mich.
Mit dem alten Video, gefällt mir das Musikstück, doppelt so gut!

So unbeschwert war sie zwar wieder nicht , aber jedenfalls besser wie heute. Übrigens die Gruppe LUV` war eine tolle Band, bin jetzt 71 und sie gefällt mir heute noch.
Lass mal so sagen. Es gab Ordnung in alles trotz das es ein getrenntes Welt gab. Es gab Drohungen aber es war nicht so eine S*****e wie jetzt. Damals war Glück ganz normal.

@@joshuavanderzee1786 our summer last 1 day longer (compared to england it is 100% win), for a non native English speaking country we aren't doing a bad job, the sense of humour.. the English are the best, and we have a similar sense of humour. And in the Netherlands we have Frisians who are related to the English.

@@jaysterling26 I know that story too. I've heard that they came from an Island which was (it doesn't exist anymore) part of England. But if we dive much further in history, there are maps that are showing that England wasn't always an Island. So it's a kind of understandable that we share things in common.
It is such a sad thing that these girls weren't known in America, or at least I hadn't heard of them. Their music is fun and upbeat, and they had such talent. I just can't get enough of their music.
In the USSR too... It is a great miss, they are super!
They are a Dutch group that had hits in at least 17 different countries.
They were not known well in UK either I only found them a few weeks ago and they have some great songs. Some ABBA like who were very well known and still are here so it is odd Luv were not

This was a #1 hit in the Dutch charts when I had just turned 7, and I can - vaguely - remember seeing this clip on tv a few times at the end of 1978...:-)
I really love the production of this song, and I by the way sometimes wonder if producer Hans van Hemert's idea to include bagpipes on the track was perhaps influenced by Wings' "Mull of Kintyre", a song that had been a huge hit about a year before the release of "Trojan Horse"? :-)
Or there wasn't a synthesizer in the studio ( pipe bands were always stalking studios)?
Or the Royal Scots Dragoon Guards' version of Amazing Grace. Pretty much the 45 that put bagpipes on the map.
Well, I just can't remember the year but it was pretty close to 1980 or 1981 when I saw the video, I live in Bolivia.
