Great job David. Came over from 731.
Thank you!
I hot glue the sockets to keep them in place
Right on! Thanks for all of your marquee letter builds, I was asking and you definitely delivered!😎👍🏻
Thanks for watching
Great information. Thank you!
Good video! You gave a lot of good information!
Great info
I have been making these numbers at 4ft and letters at 3 ft. I make them for a party planner. I just don’t have the space to store them. I have used led Edison bulbs and have switched to led round bulbs. I spray them with a cheap Harbor Freight sprayer. I get $100 a piece when I sell them. Great looking and very good information.
A $100 a piece? That’s WAY too low. I was selling these at $160-180 for 36” and $220 for 48”. I don’t sell them anymore. Only rent now. If you are building these out of wood like mine you should charge a lot more than $100
The last batch I sold was to an apartment building as a permanent display and I charged them $240 a letter for 36” and they didn’t hesitate to pay it
Great info once again. Very thorough explanation. One question I have is about the paint, what kind is it?
I use Behr glossy ultra white, 2 coats.
I am trying to decided on which plan to purchas. Between The 3foot Narrow and the 3foot Wider wide.
I like the size of the ones you have in your video, is that the 4foot wide or narrow?
Letters are 36” narrow. Numbers are 48” narrow. I don’t care for the wider ones
@@yellowhammerwoodcrafts Thank you
Great video, thank you so much for the information. Couple things, some of the links on your website (female/male plugs) are not correct. One link says SPT-1 and the other states SPT-2 so it is unclear which you are using. Lastly, I purchased your rental contract and it is in PDF form. It would be better if it was in a word doc so it could be edited. I appreciate that it was inexpensive, however, its a pain that I now have to try to copy and paste the entire 5 page document into a word doc and then edit from there. Just some feedback 🙃
Thanks for the feedback. I was unaware it wasn’t editable in PDF. I’ve sold probably a hundred copies and nobody ever mentioned that.
@@yellowhammerwoodcrafts hahaha yeah you have to have a paid version of adobe in order to edit a PDF 🙂 also for my own clarification are you using SPT -1 or SPT -2 for the plug? Thanks!!
Hi do you sell templates for the 4ft numbers please? Thanks
DIY wedding market on Etsy
How much can you sell one for if you did. Not rent it but sell the letter to someone
I used to sell them but not anymore. They sold for $180 a letter and $220 for the 48” numbers
Would recommend to start with the 3ft letters or the 4 ft letters?
@@janetbirkner6709 most people will take whatever you have and 3’ is cheaper to build. I have 3’ letters and 4’ numbers
Where do you get your plywood from? Most of the stuff I see at the big box stores are covered in voids.
Sanded plywood at Home Depot. Any voids that show get filled with caulk.
I wonder how multicolor LEDs with a battery would look. Then they are completely mobile without the need for a power outlet.
It is something I’ve considered but haven’t had the chance to test out my idea. I want to make like a cardboard or thin type of insert that I can just take the bulbs out of the letters I have and insert the cut out with the LEDs on it.
Do you sell the letters?
I used to but now I rent only. I sold a set to fund my rentals
