I recently begun making CZcams videos of my travels. Any advice on how I can improve them would mean a lot!
How can that man not answer the simple question that life was much better before 1975 than it is now even with the inequality. Truely beyond belief that response. 😮
Very stereotypical, whilst trying to appear as a gift to the human race. Is poverty only in Africa? How many rundown areas have you covered in London, Paris, Washington DC and even in your home country? Typical colonial mentality....saviour of the African race. I live in the UK, you do not need to travel far to see homeless people in virtually every city centre. This one-sided reporting is not true journalism, with trickles of charity handed down or raised through crowd funding for poor Africans. SMH
I appreciate you going to Africa but you are just like any Western media houses, portraying 100% of negativity in Africa- don’t bring that negativity to Africa- if you all about the negative news- your channel is full of degrading Our beautiful continent you sucker
Really like ur comtent, welcome to Mozambique, ask Edilson to take you to rural areas here in Maputo you will see the real Mozambique you don't even need to go out of Maputo
The elderly wood worker, what a gentleman! The quality of his work looked amazing. I agree with you Nick, if you can find a job that you love and can do for 50 years, that’s special.
Thank you for watching, Darren! Absolutely, the woodworker was a real treat to meet and share his presence.
I wonder if you could set up an export business for his woodworking?? 😮blow his mind with what it’s really worth? I’m clueless, but I know it’s worth a lot more… a happy ending is all🎉
@@resilience4lyfe331 Wood exports are a massive pain for a one-person operation due to being biological material; way more regulatory costs.

Just like the tour guide from Haiti, i love this tour guide! he is not afraid to speak about the countries problems, he uses his privilege of knowing he lives in a better area, and is more likely to stay safe, to speak up for thousands and maybe even millions of people. This man is about the shits.
Absolutely. No doubt Edmilson is a living legend.

Yeah, he is a living hero.

personally while yes, I thought he had an amazing skill, I thought he showed an apathy actually over the circumstances surrounding the countries government-or possibly hopelessness.
was in maputo in 2018 and ended up spending 5 weeks traveling all the way to nampula by land in the minibuses, mozambique is a beautiful country, had a blast! i remember going to the fish market in maputo and getting basically all you can eat king prawns and then having them prepare in the restaurants right next door. good memories!
Visited Mozambique about about 5 years back. Always felt incredibly safe and frequently walked around Maputo (and other areas) at night. Some of the most friendly, inviting people in the world.
Jesus Christ wants a personal relationship with you through the Holy Spirit, not religion and blind faith. You see, we all have sinned, and have broken God’s law (The Ten Commandments). Wrong doing deserves justice and must be punished (just like how a criminal has to pay for the crime they have committed) but God saved us from the eternal punishment of our sins by sending His Son Jesus Christ, fullness of God in flesh, a perfect, sinless sacrifice to pay the penalty for our sins by dying on the cross and resurrecting, so that we may have everlasting life. It is all finished and now for you to accept the free gift of grace, you must repent of your sins and put your faith in Jesus Christ and Bible says that His Blood will cover all of your sins, you will be forgiven, saved from eternal punishment, and be given everlasting life. By faith you will receive the Holy Spirit, become born again, know Jesus personally and He will transform your heart and clean you from the inside out. Turn away from sin, read the Bible, pray for the Holy Spirit to fill you and change you, obey the Word. Much love and God bless you!

I was in Maputo earlier this year with my girlfriend and we walked around the city with no issues at all, we always felt safe and people left us alone. It is hard to believe you and I went to the same place a few months apart and we saw the city so differently.
I also went to Maputo and felt very safe. Compared to Johannesburg I felt very safe

There are better places in Mozambique than Maputo.
I was also in Maputo last year in fact, stayed at the Polana Hotel. I walked everywhere. Not sure why IndigoTraveller tries his best to find the worst when it's not like that at all? Bad reporting, for sensationalism only - and for his CZcams views!
Lived in Mozambique for 1 year. Zero problems. Allways felt safe, even travelling by Chapa, from city outskirt to city outskirt. The only issue was the conditions of the roads and the way people drive. Otherwise, very safe. This is a hugely exagerated video.
I do appreciate you showing this side of Mozambique that many ppl are afraid to show, and we do have serious problems here, but it's not all bad and criminal everywhere
There are nice people here, nice places and tourist spots and safe places too
Shoutout to my friend Edmilson for help with the transalation but also exposing his point of view to make our country better. Awesome video!👏👏

I've said it before, I'll say it again, this is the best channel on youtube by far. You deserve everything good in this life for this content that you bring to the world showing us what life is like unfiltered in these places we will most likely never get to see. I like what the woodworker said, being resilient, regardless of the times, being independent from the forces, regimes, and governments around you, YOU are the decider of a better life, a better future.
Thank you very much for your support and sharing your perspectives :)
The most toxic blog I ever crossed. Normally individual bloggers are not engaged to fulfill the mainstream media missions. To hunt the most devastating thing in the developing counters. I don't know how this guy is sleeping after doing all this horror scene in the night. He just closed his eyes all about positive and good things about those cities. We need to stop him for spreading false information.
@@melkammigbar5623 I completely agree with you.
This guy makes a living thanks to showing the lowest of the low, the worst places on Earth.
And I don't mean the cities which he goes to and are normally nice but somehow he always ends up at the back alleys where sh*t is flowing everywhere, people get murdered every single day and nobody is doing anything about it.
It's not photojournalism as some people would call it.
This is sinking to the lowest levels and making money off it.
I do return every 6 months to the channel just to see what's up because he does go to interesting places where I would not normally go.
But it's always the same.
I live in Las Vegas and there are a few areas of my city that look just like this. Same in many major urban centers in my country. No punishment for crime. Open air drug markets. Homelessness and poverty. Same problems everywhere.
I am from the African continent and I knew nothing about Mozambique. I didn't even know they speak Portuguese. Thank you for allowing us to discover these places and learn about their struggles.
Special shout out to Edmilson. If just a small portion of the population are like him, I think Mozambique will sure have a better future.

I have been living in Moçambique for 18 years now. In Inhambane, 500 km from Maputo. Terra de boa gente. The land of the good people. I don”t lock my doors at night, can walk at any time on the beach or time and feeling safe. There is no violence by the people. People are humbled, helpful and with big smiles. My car is never locked with the keys inside and my property does not need a fence….of course in all poor Capital cities you will find some crime, but not as this video make it seem like. I can only recommend to visit the land of the good people….😊 one thing that is unfortunately true is that there is a lot of corruption and the police not to be trusted. But the people are very welcoming and wonderful!
I've spent many months in Mozambique and I can confirm this! Beautiful people!!
The fact of the matter is that an underclass exists in every country in the world. Will highlighting them change anything? I have my doubts. No matter how much opportunity some are provided, they will squander it. Some underclass are victims of tragic circumstances. Some are simply victims of poor choices.
I live in Scotland. There is prostitution, drugs, crime and corruption here in my homeland but in Mozambique it is most likely a bit of a bigger one. We all have to strive to create a better World for our children. God bless the people of Mozambique on their journey from colonial exploitation.
I traveled from Johannesburg to Inhambane in around 1995 for a holiday, got caught speeding (61kmh in a 60 zone) i got a million metical fine. It was one of the best holidays i have had.
