A couple other smaller differences with these: the hood is made out of aluminum so it’s lighter than the regular sedan hood so that’s why it uses 1 strut. The hybrid reverse lamps are slightly tinted with a amber hue. Lastly, the hybrid has larger rear brakes than any other 7th gen accord. I too love my 7th gen. I have a 07 6-6 sedan

I miss my old hybrid. I had an 05, and was one of my favorite cars I've owned to date. Sadly it was totaled due to someone else's driving. I currently have an 03 accord v6-6speed and even that(with it's 3.2 TL engine swap) doesn't quite fill the void that the hybrid left. Buut, that info is really good to know. I just might have to find me a new hood and some rear brakes for my current accord. I honestly never gave up and probably won't give up on finding another av6 hybrid. I still have a spare hybrid battery sitting in storage that I had laying around for parts for my old hybrid.

The 2006 Accord v6 hybrid was my first car and I'm still driving it more than a decade later lol. It's such a peculiar regular car. It's a left-hand drive manufactured in Japan, it's a hybrid that trades like 10hp for negligible gains in fuel economy, and it complies with turn signal regulations in Southeast Asia.
If you ever feel like trading it for a 1995 civic hatchback that gets better mpg, lmk. I miss my old hybrid and really don't care for my project civic lol

I gotta say the handling typically allows me to out pace most on freeway especially in the streets where the hybrid boost really comes in in the 0-40 range

I just bought my daughter her first car (in September 2023) and it is a 2007 Hybrid in white that has 37,000 miles and one owner (per CarFax) It was listed at $8800 but I got him down to $7300. Needed 4 new tires but it recently had the Hybrid battery replaced in January ‘22. Car is way nicer than I imagined. Very thrilled with it.

This Accord Hybrid & CR-Z Hybrid with 6 speed manual gives me hope that the upcoming 2025 Honda Prelude Hybrid won’t be a disappointment & might even have a manual!❤️

On my dad's 05 Accord hybrid you could open the trunk with a key in the right side brake light built into the trunk. Sadly, I replaced that light after it got cracked and now the key doesn't open it. We also don't have the rear view mirror turn signals so that might have been something that was added in 2007 or maybe it is the higher trim because we also don't have navigation, just an XM radio. Woot woot! V6 Hybrid I test drove two of them but wound up getting a 2000 Acura RL and a 1995 Lexus LS400 instead for even less then I woulda paid for the one hybrid. My 6 speed TL sees the beans everyday with a 0-60 of about 5.3 seconds 232k miles. Installing type s tail lights on my TL today. Watched the video twice I really would love to have a manual V6 version of that with fog lights in the front.. kinda hard to find fully loaded EX-L with fog lights, V6 with a manual transmission the last one I saw like that for sale was 6 hours from me at a Lexus dealer a 2007 with 90k miles for 10k if I had the money for it at the time I would've bought it I was even considering selling 2-3 of my cars at the time to get it but I'll find another one like it someday

I did know they had v6 hybrid I thought they only had 4 cylinders that is interesting. It is raining here in Ontario Canada we probably brought the rain to you lol!

I’m interested to know your thoughts/impressions of the 9th Gen Accord V6 if you can find one to review. I went from a 6th Gen V6 to a 7th Gen K24 manual to a 9th Gen V6 Sedan and my 9th Gen V6 feels surprisingly similar to “old school Honda.”

Some do, but I never had any issues with mine at 130k!

They didn’t!
yes, it disables the rear bank of cylinders at cruise.
32mpg on the highway? When I had mine, I got like 44mpg on the last road trip I ever took it on. I did do a cai and custom exhaust to the catback(no catalytic converters and a jpipe). Every once in a while I did get a cel for the cats, but it wasn't very common because i had those stupid catalytic simulator plugs.

The Accord Hybrid came out in 2005
2003-05 V6 got 240hp but 06-07 got 244hp from the dual exhaust.
03-05 v6 came with dual exhaust. The extra hp came from a ecu remap
@@divin3kag3242 yes they did but, 06-07 came with a free flowing dual exhaust hence the unhidden tailpipes.

The 03 to 07 accord is possibly the ugliest car of all time! But 15-20 years later they're still very well visible on the road
