This is the official anthem. Officially it has no lyrics, because during the military dictadure it had one, and when the democracy was restored, was decided to erase it, cos these lyrics were written for a francoist supporter.
The lyrics were eliminated and became official anthem without them, only the instrumental. This melody is also known like "Marcha granadera" to avoid the monarchist connotations.
PS: I'm spaniard, I know my symbols...

Yes now it is the official anthem with no lyrics BUT. It did have lyrics between the 1930s and the 1970s, however since the person who wrote them didn't have a good reputation and wasn't a very good person overall they decided to cut off the lyrics completely.
Indeed. It had lyrics before but they were used by Franco during his dictatorship.
Once democracy was restored, they decided to take the lyrics out and leave just the instrumental part.
