And lastly, I rinse Mrs B's toothbrush and put it back in the bathroom holder good as new...
:D
Good vid as always :)
Thanks, but i use maybe 3-5% of the amount you used for lubing, you put on a HUGE amount of grease. It will fly away and stick on your rim and under the sprocket cover.
The cardboard trick is brilliant - much less mess and waste. Thanks!
great video, very helpful
Freaken love that color scheme! 😍
bought an abba stand on your recomendation too...great bit of kit!
great content thanks....had my mt 09 2 weeks, suspension sorted thanks to you! are you going to do a vid on chain adjustment? would be much appreciated as your audio and visuals make every job easier.
Your brush lasts two chain cleans wow I chuck mine away every time. Without doubt the best way I've seen to clean your chain and so easy.
+wyvernbiker Cheers Keith, good to see you got back from wales ok too! - You know me, like to get my moneys worth! lol

Just got an identical MT 09 and love your videos pal, I've watched them all now, any chance of a chain adjusting vid? It's the one job I'm dreading
Great video - I've got the '07 and it needs a good going over! My chain is more grit than lube at the mo :-/
I like your channel. Got yourself another subscriber. I don't have a stand so I put the bike in the side stand, pick up a towel put it under the swing arm(right side) lift it with a car jack( The thing to change the tyre, not sure about the name) just enough to get the wheel 2mm off the ground. I use the space between the well and the sprocket on the low side to clean and lube. Your method seems doable and the card, as you have stated, also helps to spread the lube and keep things less messy. I will try it. My cousin, between the degrease and lube also goes for 1 mile ride to heat the chain. I get his point but...it also has disadvantages.
autocorrect everywhere. sorry
+ChinoisMc It helps to have a warm chain so the lube flows before it sets, heat gun works well too.
Many thanks for the Sub Bro!

Looks very effective, good video mate and interesting to see your method.
I am surprised that you wash the bike after (although I can understand the reason you stated). I always wash my bike, then do the chain, as I want to avoid getting the dirty water on the chain when I clean the bike and I imagine that cleaning the bike could remove some of the lube (I use wax).
*Ahh I see - you wash between the clean and lube :)
My chain clean & lube is a little different, a method I got from Del-Boy a long time ago - I have a board between the chain and the wheel etc so I don't get any mess that needs cleaned off.
I do mine every 300 - 800 Km and after any time I ride in the rain.
Nice one buddy, RSMF - RI
+CaptainCranky Hi Buddy, Yeah it's important to wash out the cleaner, otherwise you put lube on cleaner and it don't take a rocket scientist to figure out why that is wrong! So find a spot to make a tray and it's all good. Just make sure you wash off the cleaner before you lube.

Hello. Went through all your videos, couldn't find that chain tightening video, that you said to look for :) Can you please share the link.
Thank you!
Great vid Mr. B!!
What kinda watch is that? I like it
+TheFriskyBiker lol Random Question! lol - It's a Bering Titanium :)

Mr B
great content we want more
I oil the chain under the swingarm so when riding centripetal force forces the lube into and through the chain whereas lubing the outer surface will it is more likely to just flick off without getting to the rings
+JackSwatman You can, but lube goes everywhere, alternatively make a tray which lubes both sides like I do here. :)

Mr B
Think I need a paddock stand though, you made it look much easier than me having to yank my backwheel around
+JackSwatman Yeah, or a abba stand like mine, more expensive but worth it in the end!
.....I'm going to mill my belt drive bikes. Is the chain from the factory sealed?
Can you please make a chain adjustment video?
The manual says the slack should be 5 - 15 mm when bike is on the side stand with no weight on it. It just too tigh5
One inch or 25 mm is good.
I have used WD40 to clean a chain for 8 years then run a rag round it then do 2 complete turns of the chain with Halfords chain wax. Always had cracking results with it.
I got fed up spending on tins of muck off etc every time I wanted to clean a chain. The amount of lube you used looks like a full tin!
What kind of stand is that? I need it lol
Tidy job Mr B.
+Motorbiker Cheers Buddy!

Mr B
Hi...
What is the ideal gap for the chain? In the manual it says 5mm to 15mm, but mine is completely stretched. and now?
One inch or 25 mm is good!
Man do i ever need a Bike stand. I just roll my bike 2 foot at a time. LOL
+Back Road Moto You really do! hehe, I remember doing that 25 years ago! haha!
Cheers Bro!

Mr B
I still do it now with my 91 xj...or just lift and spin with the front when I run out of space...
how many miles between lubes? I spray once round after 100 or so but some people, and the service book, say 500. then I do a deep clean at 500 or so.
+apx5777 Always hard to pin a number, for my MT09 about 250 in rain 600 if it stays dry. Best thing is to just look lol :)
Cheers mate!

Mr B
I wouldn't brush your teeth with that brush after. :) Good demo MrB.
+02bigkev Not unless you want to look like a pirate! lol - Cheers Kev
RSMF-*RI*
Mr B
hey you should also check out a tool called the grease Ninja. You will save some lube.
no rad guard yet mr b ?
+Chris T No...not sure if I want one.... it's on the backburner
Cheers

Mr B
Back of the sprocket is the worst bit for me. Real pain in the backside to get to.
+CalmBiker If you turn the wheel 180 it becomes the front! ;o)

+Mr & Mrs B's Brain Dump I meant the inside ;-)
Hehe, I know mate, just playing :P
Be careful with your rear brake disk when to sray the chain cleaner...!!!
Puta merda! Ele gasta uma lata de lubrificante quando lubrifica a corrente da moto, pra mim uma lata de Motul C2 durou 6 meses, e a corrente da moto tá limpa e bem lubrificada!
do you ever get annoyed having a bike with two names. MT-09 or FZ09 hahaha
Ride safe, DM
+Achilles Biker also i would lube the back tyre with chain lube, good for burnouts. always does the trick
+Achilles Biker Search for my How to do a burnout vid, the short answer is no, never lube a burnout!
RSMF-*RI*
Mr B
+Achilles Biker Yes it is annoying having to name both versions! lol
