  • The #GT350 is one of the best daily driver Mustang's out there, but its wide front tires can introduce problems with #Tramlining. Rough or uneven roads can cause your #Mustang to essentially drive itself, darting towards either side of the road and making the driving experience less enjoyable.
    Since Elon Musk hasn't developed a self-driving GT350, Steeda engineered our 2-Point G-Trac Brace to help solve this tramlining! In this video, Chris tests the G-Trac Brace on the street before and after installation to give you a better video of what our Steeda S550 Mustang Ultralite Point G-Trac Brace has to offer!

    I run 285s up front on a 2015 GT and installed the 2-point G-trac brace a year or so ago. It did away with the front-end "wandering" on certain roads. Great mod IMO.

    Installed this on my 19 R and made a major difference. Not gone completely, but worth it. Doesn’t happen as much now and when it does it takes less input to correct direction. Great add to my car. See the 24 is adding something similar for the handing package. Hmmm

    I just have a regular GT with the black appearance 8.5" wheels & 255mm tires. I experience pretty significant tramlining due to my fairly aggressive alignment. I'll have to check into this.

    I’ve been dealing with this “issue” since owning my GT350. The brace did not seem to help at all. HOWEVER... I went from Cup 2’s to the pilot super sports: tramlining gone 100%. It’s the tires, that’s it.

    I am in South Louisiana and the roads here are terrible. I have terrible tramlining on my 17 GT350. I had a 15 GT PP1 that I installed the Steeda G Trac K Member on and it worked great. I was running 295s up front on it as well. I will be ordering this for both mine and my wife's 350s! You need an un-resonated x-pipe for your car. You will love it!

    My 17 GT350 had this concern when I first purchased. I did want to damage my stock wheels and tires so I purchased a set of wheels and copper tires. These tires all but eliminated the concern. Tire are good for everyday driving, but for spirited or track day driving the Michelin are the way to go. I think I will order the two point for future use. Good video thanks!

    So I was having this problem when I had my widebody scatpack challenger. When my stock tires went bald I replaced them with continental extreme contact and got an alignment and it fixed the issue. I since traded it in for a gt350 and having the same problem. Won’t getting different tires and an alignment fix the issue again instead of putting on this brace?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Před měsícem

      It was probably the alignment that fixed your issue initially. We'd recommend having a shop check your current alignment and if everything seems to be in spec, then you would look towards picking this up to help with tramlining. It's certainly cheaper than a whole new set of tires.

    excuse me for my ignorance but, why a brace like this solves the tramlining? does it mean the tramlining was because of chasis member flex or what? thx

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Před 2 lety +2

      It adds additional support and rigidity to the front k-member. Any time you can connect two points from one side to the other, you're adding side-to-side rigidity. Add this, in combination with using comfort steering feel, and it should help tramlining substantially. It did for me! Hope this helps. -Chris

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Před 3 lety +1

      Depends on your preference. The 2-Point will clear headers/multiple transmissions and tucks in a bit higher than the 4-point does. -Chris

      @steveb8883 Před 3 lety +1

      I had the 4 point on my 15 GT with PP1. I ran a 295 up front. It was a bit more rigid, but not unbearable at all. The handling was substantially better after I installed it. Just don't run over any road kill. It sits a little lower. 🤣🤣

    So this is like a sway bar?

    • @steedaautosports
      @steedaautosports  Před 3 lety +1

      Not quite. A sway bar is intended to reduce or control body roll of the vehicle. This G-Trac Brace adds to more points of connection in the front subframe to help reduce flex and add rigidity. Think of it as a strut tower brace for the bottom of your front subframe. Hope this helps! -Chris
