I'd love to see you guys convert a standard GT to Mach1, meaning adding the coolers, front bumper wheels etc. Suspension wise this will do but is love how we can add the Tremec transmission, oil cooler, pumpkin cooler etc. Would be awesome to see from you guys cause that's my goal with my GT.
awesome video..i'm excited and i don't even have magnaride...now,get a trans tune(10r80) that will give me the same shift parameters as the MACH-1 on my base 21 gt!
buying one this week! review coming in the spring
Order placed. Looking forward to adding this to my 22 Mach that has Dual rates, adjustable sways and the IRS kit. By the way if you go back and forth from road to track setups GET THE BILLET CAMBER ARMS. So easy to dial up what you need quickly.
Bobby so how is it got a review up anywhere?
@@RBelun not until spring
Any particular reason why you didn't choose a handling pack car? Since this a handling video I'd like to see how this worked with a car equipped with the handling package.
Just purchased for my GT500, if it gets here before the 24th...I'll have good data for track day driving in a different location.
Hi Chris, I am all ready spending a lot of money on my Steeda Mach 1. I am needing to go to Steeda Anonymous if I don’t stop adding to the car. The DSC has got my attention. Your calibration in normal mode is interesting. Are you saying it is a softer ride than the stock calibration? With respect to the track, why is that much of an improvement? 2 seconds is definitely a massive improvement. You should probably call me to discuss this add before Jamie finishes the car.😮😮😊😊
😄 You got it! Shoot me an e-mail and we'll get you on track. -Chris
Ill be buying mine early spring guys, please have high Inventory ;)
So I have a 2018 Mustang Gt with Magneride and virtually every Steeda suspension upgrade including the Magneride Sport Lowering Springs (Part #555-8242). So this will NOT work with those springs?
Will this still work on my 22 GT500 with BMR Drop springs? And I have most of your stop the Hop kit on my 500.
I have a PP1 mustang performance package with Steeda dual rate springs. . does this magna ride performance upgrade put the tires back down to the pavement faster?
Great video and product. I am trying to decide between Mach 1 and SS 1LE. This is a difference making product.
Does this product have any advantages or disadvantages when using the 10-spd automatic?
The DSC controller only affects the MagneRide shocks, so no changes are made to the 10-spd. We have a video talking about some of our struggles with the automatic in autocross here --> czcams.com/video/tR9tDokrd1c/video.html
Can you customize the tuning? FP springs and front swaybar for example
Hi Randy - This calibration can handle a wide array of inputs, meaning a re-calibration isn't required. That goes for the weight differences between some engines/trim levels and even different spring packages - i.e. Some OE springs vs our Dual Rates. Ford Performance Spring Kits would be a great starting point with this controller. If you're looking for more after that, then jump to the Dual Rates. Hope this helps! -Chris
Was that an etcher sketch I saw?
i currently have a 20 gt with magneride with FP sway bars and springs. with this work well with my setup? do you have a calibration for drag mode as well? and can you reset the system when a the ride height changes?
The Ford Performance sway bars and springs on your 2020 GT would work fine with this controller. If you're looking for more after installing the controller, then your next natural step would be to pick up the Steeda MagneRide Dual Rate Springs (555-8243). Yes, you can reset the ride height sensors with this device. Hope this helps! -Chris
@@steedaautosports this helps quite a bit! does this controller also have a new calibration for drag mode as well?
The drag driving mode adopts Normal mode calibration. Works well! -Chris
my mach 1 didn't come with the echa-sketch!!!
So what was on the cars besides the steeda dual rate springs. Stop the hop package, sway bars etc etc
You can view the whole build here - www.steeda.com/2022-shadow-black-mach-1
@@steedaautosports I'm assuming the swaybars are setup so they are in the stiffest setting front and rear.
Nope, not necessarily. It can take a variety of sway bar settings as this calibration has a relatively wide array of compatibility. Adjustable sway bar settings are to driver's taste and how they want the vehicle balanced. i.e. neutral, understeer, or oversteer. Hope this helps! -Chris
Doesn’t look like you did anything to the drag mode? Is it the same as stock? I think that would of been an awesome addition to this controller if you could better the 60ft times as well.
Is this something you may consider in the future?
We have modified the shock calibration for Drag Mode, but we haven't gotten the chance to test a before & after on a prepped surface yet.
Looking forward to results, I hope this doesn’t get overlooked. Although I would assume the test vehicle is at a stockish power level I would guess for a 1000++whp vehicle the settings will be a bit different. Trying to see how far I can get with the Magneride before moving to a coilover from Kelltrac.
I’m Willing to test at a track if needed, I don’t think you guys have a Magneride car setup for Big Power that I’m aware of.
With the controller are you able to freely configure suspension and throttle response? For instance, can you finally configure something like Sport+ throttle with Normal suspension?
Would this work on a 2016 Shelby gt350?
Yes it would! -Chris
I notice that the 22 Mach 1 does not have the handling package and was curious of why you chose a car that didn't. The question I have, that I haven't seen an answer for since I got my 2021 mach is how much of a difference does it make in track times...and.....how fast do you have to be moving for the front splitter and rear wing to give you the max downforce that ford advertises it can have with the handling package. I guess, in a nut shell, what I would like to know, real world is are you just as well off, on the track, or curvy country roads with the magneride controller, rather than the ford handling package. I wish somebody would put the same tires on the Mach 1 and track test it with both handling and non handling package. Can you shed any light on that for me please.
Aside from wheels, tires and aero the hp comes with different springs, roll bars, MagneRide calibration. At least that’s main things I have found.
Hi Ernie - A lot to unpack here. First off, we started with a base Mach 1 because - aside from the aero enhancements - we were going to replace everything on the car regardless. i.e. springs, sway bars, etc.
We have not tested a Base Mach 1 back to back with a Handling Pack Mach 1 at the track, so it's tough to say. According to Ford, the "Mach 1 features 22 percent more downforce than a Mustang GT with Performance Pack Level 1 and the downforce improvement jumps to approximately 150 percent with the Handling Package."
This controller would complement both the Base Mach 1 and Mach 1 HP very well, whether you're on a factory spring package - or even better - the Steeda Dual Rates. I hope this helps shed some light for you! -Chris
@@steedaautosports Thank you for the reply Chris. Yes , I have read the same things that you have about the difference in downforce, but as you said, they compare it to a GT with PP1 and NOT the regular Mach 1. Realizing that the downforce comes a certain higher speeds, I would love to see somebody compare them on a track, real world performance with stock mach's, with the exception of the tires which of course handle better than the regular Michelins.
Does it include a calibration for drag mode?
Yes! We have modified the shock calibration for Drag Mode, but we haven't gotten the chance to test a before & after on a prepped surface yet.
Steeda makes me wanna do some nasty things for a Mustang 😫😫. or a GT500
*insert evil laugh here* 😄 -Chris
I'm Shure Jamie no's what he is doing. But you should do another video of the Ford performance track team trying out this new product. A none byuse opinion.
