  • Multiple Fire & Rescue and Rural Fire Service appliances are seen responding in this video to three separate vegetation fires in North Coast Region on Tuesday 31/10/23 - all of which varied in severity, with the worst being classed as a leave immediately, threatening multiple properties and lives.
Glass House Mountains - Vegetation Fire (Sunshine Coast)
In the first segment of this video, one Queensland Police (QPS) unit from Beerwah and four Rural Fire Service (RFS) units from local brigades are all seen responding to a fire that ignited at the base of Mount Beerwah. This fire burnt through approximately 6 hectares of vegetation in several directions and threatened properties, however none were impacted. The immediate response included a combination of 17 frontline response vehicles (10x RFS units, 3x Urban units and 4x aircraft units).
    Goodwood - Vegetation Fire (Bundaberg)
454 Echo (984) from Cooroy Fire & Rescue are seen responding through the Cooroy township to a 'leave immediately' vegetation fire in Goodwood, near Bundaberg. Approximately 20 Fire & Rescue units, as far away as Cooroy in conjunction with at least 18 Rural Fire Brigades and 4 aircrafts, including BOM141 (LAT) based out of Bundaberg Airport responded to this incident when it jumped containment lines about 12:00pm. This fire unfortunately affected multiple properties and threatened the lives of fire personnel at some points, however nobody has been reported injured.
Obi Obi - Vegetation Fire (Sunshine Coast)
In the last segment of the video, four Fire & Rescue (FRS) vehicles and four Rural Fire Service (RFS) vehicles are seen responding to a large fire in mostly inaccessible country burning up the range of Obi Obi, which backs on to Witta. As of this upload time, multiple fire & rescue and rural crews are still rotating through shifts to protect properties and attempt to extinguish the fire. The initial response consisted of nine rural brigades which responded upwards of a dozen vehicles, five fire & rescue appliances from Nambour, Kenilworth, Maleny and Caloundra, as well as as several aircraft units to perform mapping and fire attack.

Hey! I was at QSAC Yesterday (one of the stadiums) and I saw this police ute with a storage area, like the ford ranger or something but it had a yellow stripe, red and yellow reflective stripes and had no other police markings other than the QPS logo, any idea what this could be? (Sorry for my horrible describing)

hey mate, are you referring to a vehicle like this? gyazo.com/ee6da0a317937a46ab7eb95c45673479 - if so, not sure if they're actually listed under QPS vehicles but they tow the mobile speed cameras/phone & seatbelt cameras.
