This car is a work of art. If I had $30 grand I'd buy that car. It's beautiful!

I’m enjoying this series. I would change the manifold and get a smaller carb. No need to make this a drag car . At least not yet.

Just so everyone knows, there isn't a "Big Block Pontiac" All Blocks are the same "External" size. The difference is inside. 326,389, 400,421,428,455 all the same size block. Although not all parts will interchange, with out Mods.

@@DavidJones-me7yr Only used 1977 to 1981, I refer to Motors people would actually want, and had after market parts available. Not many folks looking for a Motor that needed "Forced Induction" to make 200 HP and 340 lbs Torque. Who'd waste their time? 1977 to 81 wasn't exactly the "High Water" mark for Performance for any of the cars. 301 and 265 were short deck blocks, they're not in the same family, other than being Pontiac, same with the 303 Ram Air V that was never install at the factory, used for SCCA Trans-Am. 366 (short deck) used in NASCAR.

You can't bore a 326/350 block to fit 455 pistons. So it is a small block.

@@southernparadise9896 I spent over $16,000 for my long block from Butler Performance. That casting had an "Adnominally," machine shop called it a crack. So bought a Kauffman block and started over. Got $24,000 in the new motor and that's not counting all the other Mods, rear end $5,500 trans, Converter $2000 ect ect. It's a race car I drive on the Street, not exactly relaxing to drive, more like flying an airplane, just to get it started. The fella doesn't have clue what it cost to rebuild a car. This "isn't" the car for his Dad, unless his dad wants to work on it all the time. Bone stock 455 will give him 360 HP, 500lbs torque @ 3100 rpm, shift at 5200 rpm, the car won't over heat and will be fun to drive. And how's his Dad suppose to give the Grandkids a ride with no back seat and a Roll bar.🤔...Keep Looking, this ain't the right car for dad, I'm not some youngster saying this, I'm 73 yrs old. Sorry but that ain’t the car to have chosen. I’m all about cars that are maybe too fast, but that car ; with that engine and probably drive line too will be nothing but one big headache. It’s going to break often. You will eventually have to put a different motor/ drivetrain in it to be enjoyable. Sorry but the guy selling it knew certain of all of this. He should have never even tried to sell y’all that car. He knows that there are other a lot more fitting Firebirds out there that honestly would have been a lot cheaper in the long run. Too much money was spent making that car fast. It didn’t fit at all what you were looking to do. Sorry but he knew that
