Crocodile's techniques are actually named in Italian, Spanish AND French.
Spada means sword in Italian, while Girasole means Sunflower in Italian.
Secco means Dry in Italian.
Sables means Sand in French and it's pronounced "suh-bleh".
Barján means Barchan in Spanish, which is an unusual word to define a crescent-shaped dune, and the pronunciation is somewhat similar.
Encierro means Prison in Spanish, you can pronounce it "En-si-eh-ro".
Pesado means Heavy in Spanish.
La Spada is still Italian, "La" is merely the feminine article, like the English "The" (in Latin languages, object names can be masculine or feminine). Grande Espada means Large Sword in Spanish (and the "E" at the end of "Grande" must be pronounced, "Grun-deh Espada"). Fun fact: "Grande" has the same meaning in Italian and French also.
A fun thing is that in the English translations they translated "Deseruto" in Desert because that's how you pronounce it in Japanese, but actually Deserto is the Italian word for Desert. So Desert Spada should actually be Deserto Spada, meaning Desert Sword, even if it wouldn't be the right way to say that, because Desert Sword would become "Spada del Deserto" in Italian ("del" means "of the", so Sword of the Desert which is painfully ugly to pronounce in English so stick with Desert Sword).
I am Italian and I know a bit of my neighbour countries' languages and Crocodile is my favorite One Piece villain and one of my favorite characters in general. I hope this helped.

I don't like sand. It's coarse and rough and irritating... and it gets everywhere.
Another way to look at it is that Crocodile was naturally gifted in Observation rather than Armament or Conqueror's Haki.
Yeah the way I choose to see it is that he learned an early form of observation.
Don't think that's it, since observation makes the user aware of the threat. Crocodile reflexively avoids attacks without even knowing they're coming.

I think a case could be made for Crocodile being awakened during Alabasta.
The Boogie Powder was needed to frame the royal family more than actually cause the drought. In fact, notice how it started raining as soon as Luffy knocked Crocodile the f*ck out. He might've been prolonging the drought with his own power the whole time. Until he got Sugar'd.

He certainly could have contributed to the rain not falling there. I would imagine that he wouldn't want it to rain while the battle is going on. He worked too hard for too long on his plan for it to fail because the weather decided to rain on his parade. (crickets chirp in the background) Everyone's a critic.

Crocodile is so underrated as a character to me I believe whats make him so special to me is that there no talking or flashbacks when fighting him 😂 if u try to talk to someone else hes going to hit you in your face. Hes a menace and make him the best villain ever made in my opinion

A fun little hack you can do with pocket sand is put a little bit chili powder in there it makes it more effective in defense and as a bonus you can sprinkle a little bit and fit onto it like a pizza or whatever get a bit of spice.

Hey tekking fun fact if there is a devil fruit that’s a metal logia (think can control and produce any natural metal) they could make things that would be able to withstand akainu’s magma since magma temp ranges from 1300-2400 Fahrenheit and some metals can withstand 2500+ degrees. I’m writing a fan fact with a main character with a metal logia fruit and I was surprised when I learned this doing my back ground research

Turning metal or the stone ground into sand sounds more like a form of awakening to me and not like a technique like the sand slicing thing.
Makes sense to me if he trained that much that he has a refined version of awakening as well.

Any one else feel like crocodile will have awakened his df in the new world and gained haki and become a lot stronger.
I've theorized that crocodile didn't have haki because his pain tolerance is too high.
Remember most people unlock haki through trauma.
And crocodile is the same guy who treated the impeldown boiling blood bath in impeldown like a warm bath.
Might also be why he decided to stay in impeldown, he was probably hoping he'd get hurt to the point of unlocking haki
Also his awakening is probably similar to the effects of Thanos’s snap but on a smaller scale

Wow great timing for a Croco video. My friend that has never liked anime really, has gone on an anime binge. He just finished HxH last week, and he was asking for suggestions. And I was like “you know what I’m going to tell you to watch”, he said “no what?”. “One Piece, if you like HxH you need to watch One Piece.” He said “But it’s so long to catch up”, I said, “Trust me”. He’s now almost done with Alabasta in a week, so this is the best time for a video in one of the best villains in OP.

I can't wait for his return and to know more of his past!! Also, he has one of my favorite powers!! He trained his DF so well, sometimes it generates sparks due the friction. My favorite move is Sables Pesado! I think he was awakened because, only after he was unconscious, it is when it starts raining again.

Im actually really surprised, when I came on youtube today and saw that this was a new video and I thought he already did one on his devil fruit, but then even he said the same thing. tbh cant blame him with all these videos he makes where he'll talk about the fruit while also talking about the character but its still a great video none the less. and besides I really cant complain about another video on my favorite character in the show *smiles*

About the awakening i think he has an awakened fruit as he told to luffy that there is more to devil fruits than meets the eye and said that he has mastered his fruit. Also i think he used awakening in alabasta when he turned the palace area to sand just by touching the ground and without weathering it with sand first. Doflamingo saif thatawakened fruits affect the surroundings and i think that exactly what crocodile did there
there exist a way to make metal parts called sintering, the raw material looks like sand, not regular sand but little metal particles. those particles can be baket together with high pressure and high temperatures to different things like knifes, a litle bit similar how crocodile did it with his knife technique. :)

@@beastthemonster3675 that is heavily debatable, weivel has insane strength and endurance, especially if he really is whitebeard's son even if luffy gets a king kong gun i don't think that would knock him out, and for kuma, he has a pretty good shot if he was really able to just take away his fatigue like he did to luffy, or even better take his fatigue and give it to luffy if he just throws it at him and it connects.

(around 25:03) Yes is is true that the sand "should" turn directly into glass vs Akaino'a naturally high heat. Depending on the compression forced on the sand (forming into glass) they could still retain quite a bit of strength. (I present the phenomena of "Prince Rupert's drop".)

Watch the move named desert la spada where he forms sand blades and coats them with haki. Also when luffy hits him with blood he is surprised and asks how he did it. Luffy tells him the reason and he is relieved as he thought that luffy knew how to use haki

It would be amazing to see that, but first he would need to find a way to watch Naruto first. It seems that except in the crossover's and a few fanfictions, the different worlds of manga do not mix very much.

@@lucidbizzare8419 Maybe I am, but in my experience, crossovers can be a tricky business. Probably due to the different rules governing different parts of imagination. Still, if you want to see a crossover then you could always try the Five World's fanfiction series. Fair warning, Naruto and One Piece are not the only two manga featured there. As noted, it is composed of five worlds four of which are some of the more popular manga. In my experience, there are very few who like all four of these ones with the author and myself along with my friends being rare exceptions.

crocodile also was recruited very early in his career and hung out in the earliest part of the Grand Line. i figured he was laying low and just didn't run into anybody who had haki that would wanna fight him so he may have legit just been coasting on his df abilities and never needed anything else cause he didn't go deeper into after Whitebeard beat his ass and he became a warlord.
After seeing Tekking drinking water I was expecting a "Water-Tekking" joke. I don't know if I'm happy or sad it didn't happen.
Maybe he was invoking his awakening during alabasta but just purposefully made it impermanent because he wanted to rule the country and even a sandman needs water sometimes. Yes his main goal was to get the ancient weapon but he also seemed to want to actually take over the country too as a secondary goal. Maybe awakened logias can control the weather but the only times that becomes permanent are when they are high stress like punk hazard had 2 admirals all out fighting that couldnt waste the brain power on worrying about the weather
