  • Before our recent investigation at Santon, we, that is Oana, Eddie and myself visited Brandon Country Park in North West Suffolk. It was quite an interesting ramble with much to see.
I hope you`ll enjoy this video while I edit to produce our next full show - an investigation at Santon, Norfolk.

A Beautiful Spring walk on a Lovely day! I have been to see the General Sherman tree and it is breath taking! The redwood there is as well. Trees are perhaps the most beautiful of life forms on Mother Earth! I saw a snake here in our woods in Pennsylvania just two days ago, a harmless garter snake about the size of the one you came upon. I know Oana doesn’t like them but they are amazing creatures indeed. And Eddy’s walking stick is also amazing! I’ve made similar walking sticks tipped with white tailed deer antlers. Poppy would have a blast here as there are many squirrels and in Spring the young ones chase each other around and around up and down tree trunks. Kind Thanks for the beautiful and historical parks! It was Lovely as I enjoyed my morning coffee on this rainy Saturday morning in SE Pennsylvania! Love, Light, Peace and Joy of Being! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Thanks, DaveyJO. I`d love to see General Sherman. I really can understand why the natives worshipped these trees as something God-like. They truly are venerable. Hopefully, Eddie will see your comment regarding the walking stick. Thanks for commenting. 😊

Yes I was lucky with the stick. I knew I had to get one do to being not too good on the ole pins & spinal arthritis. I was looking for sticks at Weeting Steam engine Rally & most were £80 to £100. Then I saw it & immediately loved it. I thought...
      I bet thats expensive.
      I looked & it was £25. I immediately bought it :) \m/
Its far better than the more expensive ones :) \m/

Red squirrels are native to Britain & protected. Some bright spark introduced grey squirrels & they've gradually made the red squirrels rare, grey squirrels are treated as vermin to preserve the much shyer red squirrels.

@@AveburyEddie Eddie, if you were in Pennsylvania or me in England, I’d make you a fine walking stick with leather hand grips and bead work. I’d gift it to you just for all you’ve shared with we viewers and the respect you do it with! You, Oana and Chris make a great team with respect as I’ve said, history and Good Friendship. Perhaps one day I can deliver a nice hickory stick. I’ll have to check about sending one there. I don’t want you paying some hefty postage, which I’ve heard happens sometimes. Many Blessings with Love, Light, Peace and Joy of Being! DaveyJO in Pennsylvania

Very beautiful! I love trees. I was kind of surprised by the Redwood. I didn't think they grew anywhere outside of California. A very delightful walk. And I'm with Oana on the snakes! I'm sorry, Eddie. I'm not like you and love reptiles,. lol. Thanks, Chris. I've enjoyed walking with the four of you. Gave me a good giggle.

Cheers Chris, Oana, Eddie & Poppy! I, too, am a Redwood hugger this end of Pond. Had pic taken w/giant Sequoia General Sherman 10 yrs back. In 2021, Forest Service encircled him with foil as protection from rampant wildfires. He was singed, but survived. I knew not of Monkey Puzzle trees until recently rediscovering, "The Ghost & Mrs. Muir" og film & later series.

Loved the little Grass snake. It always happen when I haven't got my camera. Grrrr !!
Worked flints always have a bulb of percussion, thats how you can tell if a flint has been worked or not. Sadly none of the flints at the round barrow have them :(
The mausoleum is beautiful inside. The walls are painted pink :)

Lovely to see Eddie again ❤️ Just tell Oana that Slow Worms are legless lizards so not a snake. They are a protected species in the U.K. Our cat used to bring them in to play with and we had to chase him around the house to save them 🤣

@@HauntedEarth Indeed it has, and seeing Eddie and Poppy make guest appearances is a treat. (Oana is now a series regular.) My favorite are your well-researched and articulate para-documentaries as I am interested in history, art/architecture, travel, and the paranormal, but you could talk about paint drying on a rock and I would be enraptured: the timbre of your voice, inflection and accent are very pleasant. I've been saying it since I found this channel about a year ago: someone should hire you to do voiceover work and audiobooks.

Canada geese are nasty! We have a lot of them where I live (there are many ponds and a copse nearby). They will chase you and attack. Probably the worst import from Canada…lol. 😂 PS. Snakes are cool. I love all creatures, ugly or cute, stinky or sweet. Thanks Chris, Oana and Eddie. I love your walkabouts and history lessons! Virginia. 🇨🇦🥰

    • @HauntedEarth

I`ve been suitably punished here with the dreaded exclamation mark. They are Greylag geese, but as objectionable as the Canadian variety, Virginia. I too love snakes, In fact I love all creatures because they all have a role to play and are uniquely special. But equally, we all have phobias, unfortunately.
