- Here is a short video shot at Britain`s second oldest church which was built in 653 AD.
It also is a place that is reputedly haunted.
It spent most of it`s life following the Reformation as a barn before being restored and reconsecrated as a church in 1920 where today it is used for occasional worship.
This ISN`T a professional production from me, but an impromptu camera session to try out my new DJI Action 2 camera.

I don't think I'd like to be there in a storm. I think it's a testament to the quality of the construction that the wind hasn't blown it down. What a beautiful and desolate place.

What fascinating braids of history hold this beauty upright after so much time.
It's amazing how certain places like this give you a feeling. I always feel a heaviness in the middle of my chest when I'm in a really old building, especially a place of worship. It's what being an Empath can be a gift..

I have been there, it is magnificent, it was very atmospheric and magical. Even the long walk from the car park was lovely. I think everyone should visit. Thank you for this quick visit.

That was wonderful on two points for me! firstly, to see it in HD was just magical! I have not been able to see anything in hd until after my mum's passing, as now I have a much better desktop pc! Secondly, Its is a very wonderful place to see and feel the essence of this place in Hd video clip! It was lovely to see Oana Johnson and hear her speak! I still find it stunning that she can speak 15 languages well done to you! I still have trouble with just two lol and then!! To see dear Poppy! ;) That was delightful, I cannot wait to see more soon Chris, thank you for all you have done for us all, to see!

Very atmospheric and lovely to see a part of Britain not covered in a new housing estate or an out of town shopping development. The ghosts of Roman soldiers can have the place to themselves .

There's lot's of ancient churches that have become abandoned over time, it's good to see this is still being used.

My brother and I visited this church back in 1978 while visiting from NZ, we had family in Essex that we were seeing in the UK at that time. When we parked in the carpark at the start of the walk there was an old silver grey haired lady waiting there that seemed a bit weird. As we walked down the path to the church she was walking just in front of us, then she was gone. I looked around for her but no sign of her anywhere. I did take a photo of her as she was walking in front of us as it did feel a bit strange. I don't know if this was a ghostly encounter, but that path only seemed to lead to the church, so I can't imagine where else she could have gone.
That was indeed a weird experience. I think I may have experienced similar once, but I can`t be too sure now.
I do remember your bone-chilling nighttime visit to this ancient building, Chris. Isn't this the site where you rescued a mouse?

Just in case you did not know Chris, when talking about subs, nowadays on CZcams if you have a channel that has a lot of legacy subs, those old inactive subs actually hurt a channel, as the algorithm takes into account the activity of the channel compared to its subs count. So you would after returning to CZcams would have been better starting a new channel and posting on here where it was etc. I know of a few channels this happened to, where they had close to 200k, then walked away and came back years later and well their views are about the same as yours. Might be worth a shot, as I personally like the channel and you deserve to at least be at the button stage by now.
This is something that is under consideration as clearly, my membership subs do not match the views. Thank you for your input here. Food indeed for thought!

This church is mistakenly labelled as Britains oldest church when in fact Britain's oldest church is the world's first church which is the church of Joseph of Arimathea, created in 37AD.
