Feather River California Temple Groundbreaking

Leaders from the The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints gathered in Yuba City, California on the morning of July 18, 2020, to break ground for the Feather River California Temple. The group was limited in size because of COVID-19 precautions. This is the recording of the event.

What a beauitful service. I live in Long Beach, California. I didn't go to the groundbreaking of the Los Angeles temple, but I did go to the Temple dedication of the Los Angeles. I was 11 year's old. I told my father as we were walking down the spiral staircase, that this is were I wanted to be married. On 10 April 1965, I was married to my eternal mate, who has since return to his Heavenly Father.

I love the name of this temple because it reminds me of happy times with my mother.

The story of this temple location coming to be is heart warming. This story is what America is all about. The building of faith, the joining of community and the linking of family.
