- Episode 405. I have not spent a lot of time with this release , but I am really enjoying my first drams. More depth than most, it plays into a nicely roasted, wheated bourbon profile. Have you had this release? What are your thoughts on Rabbit Hole or Cavehill? #Bourbon #whiskytube #whiskyneighbour

Just clicked play, but I wanted to let you know that I just found your channel thanks to the rare breed video, and I love your laid back and approachable nature! You’ve earned my subscription!
Thank you for the kind words! I hope to always put out content that is just that - a good, relaxed moment to talk whiskey. Cheers!
A guy could say you really went down a rabbit hole on this one!!!
Gratuitous Dad joke.
Happy fathers day!
LOL! Thanks for the laugh!
No Dad joke is gratuitous. All Dad jokes are an essential service.
Great review Jon. Always excited to compare our reviews and notes! It IS 4yrs! 👌🥃
I really enjoyed this one and was certainly thinking of your review when I picked it up. Good to share a dram!
I opened my bottle of Cavehill last weekend and found it a bit disappointing. The dominant note was a..dusty peanut. I didn't get much oak at all and the other notes mentioned were somewhat subdued. Maybe I need to let it open up a little but I wouldn't purchase this product again. So many better bourbons out there in the same price range. Great review as always sir!
Tough this one disappointed. I hope it does get better, thanks for sharing your experience!
I recently acquired such a bottle... Looking forward to trying it!
I hope you enjoy it too!
Great review Jon and a much-deserved great Father's Day to you. Cheers brother.
Thank you my friend! I hope you have a fantastic weekend too. I know you will be missing part of your family, but hope you can still find some time to enjoy each other. Cheers!
Now there's something I'd be excited to try. Happy Father's Day friend.
Happy Father's day to you too! This is a solid experience IMO. Cheers!
I've gone down this rabbit hole a few years ago and still have a soft spot for their sherry cask finish. A quality burbon and review as usual. Tks Jon.
Thanks. I have heard really good things about that Sherry finish. I better find a bottle!
+1. The Dareringer is super delicious.
Excellent review. I’ve only had the rye which is pretty good and made me interested in trying more of them. A little pricey so something I have to be selective about. But this sounds great to me. Also in an interview I think with the mash and drum the rep mentioned that they use toasted barrels on all whiskies. He mentioned that because of the scarcity among toasted barrel whiskies and how theirs is readily Available. Pretty cool too. Cheers Jon 🤙🥃
This is usually a bit more in my neighbourhood, but it went on sale, so I quickly picked it up. It is really good and if you can, I would say worth the purchase. Lots of layers and ideas to think about as you sip! Cheers!
I've had their 4 major expressions but have yet to review one. I have to make that a priority. Great review my friend and motivation as well.
Thanks. I am really enjoying this one. Cheers!
I was out getting some Tomatin yesterday, and this was an impulse buy. I'm only on my second glass, so I don't know how much I like it yet, but I know that I don't dislike it. I like a bourbon with a dry finish and this one has that, though not as pronounced as some.
A good start. Let me know how it evolves for you. Cheers!
Cheers WN we have the Heigold & Boxergrail ( my personal preference , so far) in the UK around £40 , I hope they send a few more from their range .
I have not tried their rye, but I hoep it shows up here. This bourbon is fantastic.
Great video. cool to hear your thoughts on makers actually!
How much is the rabbit hole here, I don't think I've seen it before!
It is priced a bit high, but I got it on sale so $65. Still high, but tasty.
What’s your thoughts on the finished Rabbit Hole?
I have not had any of them yet. However, after this, I intend to buy them. I'll let you know!
@@WhiskyNeighbour Looking forward to it!
I prefer heated bourbons
Depends a bit on mood for me. Definitely e joy a good wheated though!
