Come for the reviews, stay to find out where Kurt thinks jelly belongs.
All over his body lol
Respect the passion. Ain't hurtin nobody.
My first laugh out loud moment!! Awesome!!
Classic. Jelly belly lover
TMI Kurt!! But very funny!
“Jelly belongs all over my body” I damn near spit out my breakfast! Hilarious! I e had a few sips of the Cavehill. Wasn’t impressed for the price point. Been wanting to try the Dareninger
Kurt saying "Jelly belongs all over my body" made me laugh out loud while watching during lunch at work. Hilarious. You guys are the best. Not sure Rabbit Hole fits my drinking profile, but I learned a lot and enjoyed the video as always. Keep up the good work boys.
The "okay Bro..." got me!!! LOL
I just did the same thing.
I had to chance to stop by Rabbit Hole not long ago. Like others are saying, the distillery is beautiful. They went with a modern take and created an inviting space to have a drink. Their products are ok, but, I feel like they could benefit from some more time in the barrel.
Great video guys!
I agree I think you worded that perfectly.
Agree!

Well said.
@@chandlerabsher 🙌
You two do a fantastic job keeping the attention of your audience and at the same time giving us very useful information on the products you are exploring. Keep up the great work. Thank you very much.
The Derringer is one of my favorite bourbons. You said your buddy and yourself polished off a bottle in a week, My buddy and myself finished a bottle in one night. No a great move but this Derringer is so drinkable. Thanks for your review.
Love Rabbit Hole. The Heigold was one of the first more spendy bourbons I tried when I was newer to the hobby. Nice, smooth, and sweet. I've used it as a stepping point for others getting into bourbon, though it's a hair more expensive in MN/WI. I was able to score a few bottles on sale for $45 each once though, which was awesome! When we went to see the distillery this year, I sampled a bunch of stuff and wound up walking out with the cask strength Dereinger. It's AMAZING! Take that flavor profile and just crank it to 11. I found the Heigold cask strength not too long ago, too. Same idea. Take that flavor profile and crank it. It's very sweet, but a little thinner than what I was expecting given the high price point.
I’m somewhat of a beginner bourbon drinker and got to say I love this channel! You guys have really helped me find some awesome picks and information. love it keep it up! Thanks from Southern Indiana
I’ve never tried the first two but the black label cavehill has become one of my go to’s especially if I’m sharing with someone whose not really a bourbon drinker or just a beginner. Love the product!
I think Rabbit Hole is really good. I’d like to see them age a touch more, and for them to release some higher proof options that aren’t a part of their Founder’s series. At the same time, as I discover more bourbons that I really enjoy, it gets harder to justify the price point of Rabbit Hole. $50+ for a 3 year under 100 proof is a lot of money
Im not even that interested in bourbon,i accidentally came over this video in my recommendeds,i decided to watch it,you two are so charismatic and the commentary is so insightful and interesting ive decided to subcribe and stay, you two are super entertaining and i hope the best for your channel!
Relatively new to this channel, but loving it so much! Would love if you guys added a list to your website about cataloging the different videos and rankings. And could add reviews to the website about the different whiskeys you try this year. cheers guys!
Fairly early in our Bourbon education but liked the idea of the Dareringer wheated and sherry cask finish. It has quickly become one of my top sippers
Good stuff, guys. The Dareringer is underrated in my opinion and one of my go-to sippers. Cool story on how they started and the tour they give at their facility in Louisville is well worth the visit.
I'm glad you guys did Rabbit Hole. I have a Cavehill and think it's a nice sip. The four grains to me give it a ton of flavor. I've also had the Dareringer on my list for a while, but the Sherry finish I was leary about. Not anymore. I've watched enough of your videos to know that when Kurt gets excited for or about a bottle it's probably one I should try. Great, honest reviews!!!!
Love your reviews! I never miss a new episode when they come out..The both of you working together really works well..thank you for what you do
I will say that I visited Rabbit Hole when I took a trip to Louisville in October. The distillery is beautiful, great visit, very nice people; it was a good time. That being said, we did a tasting of their core lineup and it was good but nothing is making run out and buy a bottle. I will say, I do enjoy the Rabbit Hole cigars I have, those are really good. Cheers
Awesome video guys!!!
Kurt in the future maybe you could do a video on PX finished bourbons would be so kool!
Thanks for all you do! And CHEERS!!!
Rabbit Hole is one of my favorite distilleries they had the best tour experience out of about 10+ distilleries I've been to. I really like the base offerings as they're just so easy to drink and they're one of the easiest recommendations for newcomers into the hobby
I sure did look long and hard at these after work last night when I picked up supplies. It’s like you read my mind or something with this popping up on my home page!
I've been trying to keep up with the various videos posted, and I thought that besides commenting on another great video... perhaps you might consider an idea for a future video. Given that you both have extensive collections and continue to add to the inventory... I have found that my 220+ collection of bottles needs some "inventory management". I'd be interested in learning more about how you each manage your "liquor library". I have come up with a few approaches that I've just started to implement. Like most others, we all have partially open bottles that we cherish, some that we won't buy again, as well as some that rotate through with replacements for various reasons. Perhaps some of your insights for how you manage your inventory as well as what you think about when keeping "whiskey on the shelf. Happy New Year and thanks for taking the time and the effort to share great content.
Dareringer is my favorite, always try to keep a bottle on the shelf!
The content that you guys are putting out, is truly helping me with what my flavor profile is and changing into. It is also helping find other Bourbons that we dont get sometimes here in Ohio. Thank you SLB for everything you do.
Thanks guys!!! I was wondering about those as well. I would pass them up. I might keep an eye out for the sherry finished one.
Nice to know these are good. They're readily available around me. Thanks for helping out the community.
I got in trouble at work at 12:01 when Kurt said that....I friggin lost it. Great video as usual fellas.
Great show guys!!!! I am a beginner in bourbon and really enjoy your insight. I am curious have you ever done Willett products and if not I would love to get your thoughts on it. Thank you and keep it going!
Thanks for the RH review. I have been meaning to try one but never knew which one to try.
Think I will go with Dareringer. That sounds right up my alley. RH is available almost everywhere in MI.
I had a tot of the Derringer for the first time last night and I am certainly buying a bottle as soon as I empty one of the several bottles in my cabinet.
Derringer and Cavehill are very nice pours! Thanks again for the review!
Nice review guys. Tried Rabbit Hole a couple of years ago and wasn't really into it. However, I took your advice on Old Forrester 1910 and was really pleased, so I'll give the Derringer a shot next time I see it.
Heading back to Louisville next week for work. Didn't get to Rabbit Hole last trip but making a point to stop by this time. Looking forward to sampling the Dareringer!
Was offered a free pour at a bourbon bar the other week of the Rabbit Hole black label. It is stellar! Pricy but man I’d buy that bottle when I see it next.
As someone who hasn’t pulled the trigger on Rabbit Hole… yet, I appreciate your thoughts on these. Thanks! Love your show!
Love what you guys do! Would love to see a similar show about Michter’s.
I love "info" on the bottle also.....Not all stores take the time to put the hang tags on some bottles....Great show this time boys....👍👍
The distillery is a beautiful facility. I really became a fan of their products after our tour. I've got a bottle of each, and a bottle of their Rye.
Picked up the Cavehill a few weeks ago. Got it my local Sam's Club for $46.98
Great video. Been wondering about those bottles. Thanks for the review
Distillery is amazing! Cavehill is one of my favs.A bit expensive sure...but, I think it is still more reasonable then a lot of others out there right now.
I recently picked up a Dareringer and enjoy it. It is a pretty solid bourbon. If they find the sweet spot with aging it could be great.
Kurt saying " Jelly belongs all over my body " that comment will forever live rent free in my head LOL
I picked up a bottle of Cavehill, but have not tried yet. Love show and like the banter between Kurt and Trenton. On the way to meet a customer for lunch, I made an unscheduled stop at Binny’s in Oak Brook, Illinois. They had just sold out of a case of Blantons, but I was able to score a Weller Special Reserve and Buffalo Trace. (1 per customer) Decided to go back after lunch and picked up 1 more of each. Then hit the Binny’s in Bloomingdale, Illinois, and they had also got in Weller and BT. Ended up with 3 of each unexpectedly!
I have enjoyed the Rabbit Hole and have made an Old fashioned with the Dareinger, but may need to go back and try them again. I was not super excited with Rabbit Hole taste profile, but that was really early on in my bourbon journey. So need to go back and try them again, my palate has changed so may enjoy them more now. thanks for reviewing them. cheers.
I just bought and opened the Dareringer. It's love at first smell and sip for me! Thanks for the excellent reviews and videos guys!
I did a Rabbit Hole tasting at my local store with the brand rep. I had had the Dareringer, but wanted to compare. I enjoy them all, but the Dareringer is still one of my favorite pours period. Just absolutely delicious. I’m not a high proof guy like Trenton, this is just right for me . . . just like Blanton’s.
I have been sitting on this trio of bottles that I have yet to try. Looking forward to it.
Dareinger is the perfect summer bourbon. Sitting outside and sipping all day and at night. Just an amazing pour, just be careful the bottle goes QUICK it drinks so easy.
I’ve seen Rabbit Hole pretty frequently around for the last year and seen it promoted on podcasts, as well. That being said, I’ve never tried it, but I think the Dareringer might be worth a try at least once
Kurt, you need to put a funny picture or saying on the ceiling because every time Trenton takes a smell of something he likes he looks up at the ceiling. 😂 Awesome video again guys.
Love Rabbit Hole after a friend opened his sherry finished bottle about a month ago. Price point is off for young bourbon but it has a sweetness i love. I definitely tastes better the longer itbstays open. It is better 4 weeks later than it was when we opened it. Sweetness definitely comes out with time.
Have just tried the Cavehill so far, and would was very happy with it, due to wheat and honey malted barley influence. Gonna hold off on responding to your jelly preferences............but a great review! Will pick up the Derringer next time I see it. I think they could all use some more age on them, but overall happy with what they are doing so far.
Have a buddy who works there as a distiller. They have some of the coolest bottle designs especially the alice in wonderland collection (which my buddy has all of) pretty much art work with spirits
I stumbled across your videos about a month ago. Great content! Here's a quick request... how about random Canadian whiskeys vs Crown Royal. I've always enjoyed Canadian Mist because to me it tastes just like Crown Royal but for half the price.
If the jelly don't jiggle, then it must be jam. SLB crew is my jam!
The Derringer is $100 in my area. I’ve been trying to talk myself into buying it. Thanks for the review guys.
Great vid. Learn a lot from you guys. Total Wine in Md. has them for $20 more than you got them for. Not sure I want to fork over $100 the Dareringer. Hopefully I can find it cheaper somewhere else
The dareringer is an amazing drink. I own this bottle and will show it off anytime someone comes over. Would highly recommend it.
I like the Dareringer for a nice sipping desert sipper. Great review as always!
I have the Cavehill and enjoy it. Looking forward to trying the others now.
Great show, as always. One note: Rabbit hole has no doubt changed from "back in the day," but your palate has, too.
I’ve only got the Cavehill, and I enjoy it. Glad to see what the others taste like
I got a bottle of the Cavehill a few months ago and really like it, and it did take some time to open up as far as the flavors go. I don't know if I'd call them "Pretty Cheap" at those price points. Hopefully I will be able to try the others at some point. Kurt's Jelly comment almost made me fall off my chair! LMAO!!!
I’m enjoying a bottle of cave hill now. I will try the derringer next! Thanks for the review!
The Dareringer is my favorite bourbon I had last year. I would take that over Angels Envy any day. Yeah I know port and sherry isn’t the same but still. I really want to try the rye I believe it’s malted rye in that mashbill too and I’m interested.
5:00 My Grandma would make cornbread in a frying pan like a pancake, One large cornbread the size of the pan. Some people make the small ones and call the fritters.
I really enjoy Derringer and was pretty sure Kurt would, too. It's getting a little hard to find. I was in Kroger yesterday, and they had it for $64. I bought two bottles as back up. I've seen it as high as $125 in some stores.
It is a shame you couldn’t find the Boxergrail Rye for the show, I love it. Buttery up front with a spicy rye finish. A staple in my bar.
And by the way, I grew up eating cornbread Pattie’s pan fried in a cast iron skillet. Fantastic.
12:01... if we had each others phone numbers.. this would be your ring tone Kurt... funny stuff...
and, we just got these bottles in.. thanks for doing this... now I know which to get!!! thanks!!
Good Morning from Las Vegas. There's a cigar brand that barrel age their tobacco (Diesel Whiskey Row) using their barrels.
I definitely think the Boxergrail (Green label) is worth a try too!
After watching this video I stumbled upon the Dareringer locally here in NY, So darn good!
The Heilgold is $70, the Derringer is $80, and the Cavehill is $66 here in Florida. I might be interested if I could get them for $50. At this steep prices they go for here, it is a hard pass for me.
Great review! Thanks!
Pull the rabbit hole sherry finish into a Finished Bourbon comparison. Would be interesting for people wanting to try the next frontier of bourbon, finished barrels.
Not sure if it's been mentioned, but be on the lookout for Rabbit Hole Bespoke Gin. One of my favorites for making a Last Word.
I’ve been wanting to buy the Dareringer for a couple of years now but I get distracted by other beauties in the liquor store. Next time I’m picking one up!!
I really love the rabbit hole rye!! I bought it at the distillery and am not sure if it’s available in stores.
Recommend checking out their distillery if you are ever in Louisville. Modern take on distilling, great tasting floor. Love me some rabbit hole!
I really enjoy the Dareringer and the rye (not shown, green label) straight. They are pricey here in NC though.
Their Special releases are fantastic! I have the Race King release. 5 grain, Double chocolate malted cask strength. 109.2 proof
I love both of your reviews and love to try different bourbons. I have been a bourbon drinker for at least 20 years. I have a bottle of Rabbit Hole Dareringer, and I have had several finished bourbons that I really enjoyed. Dovetail was excellent, and Archangel was superb. But this one in the sherry finish tastes ok on the first sip, there is something off putting on the other sips. I love your reviews anyway and my bourbon explorations, cheers!
U guys are the best whiskey guys!! Keep um coming fellas
I like these distillery videos. I’d love to see you guys do New Riff!
Derringer is one of my favorite finished bourbons out there.
Rabbit Hole gin...very, very, very good. Have never been a fan of gin in the past, but that is awesome. Had the pleasure of going to their distillery in Louisville in April...very much a hipster joint, and that is not a bad comment...more modern than some of the other places we went. Tasted all three of their bourbons...very tasty indeed.
KURT-TRENTON!!! Great video!!! I need to find that Dareringer!!! That's my kind of bourbon!!! Peanut butter AND jelly is All American!!!! CHEERS family!!!
"Jelly belongs all over my body".....Now that's a quote you won't get very often.....Clip and Save. (12:00 min)
The Dareringer is a top 5 pour hands down for me of products that are not Allocated.
Distillery tour and tasting is excellent in downtown Louisville. Very modern building and you get to stick your finger into the mash and try it. Agree that the Cavehill finished in sherry barrels is the best.
I bought my first bottle of Rabbit Hole yesterday. I actually looked to see if you had a video reviewing it and it showed up today.
PB&J Trenton, Kurt great visual ;-) - Another great video guys!
Great idea for a new segment.. Distillery Review where you review a sample o do bottles from one line
Another great show guys!
Rabbit Hole was on our own Bourbon Trail and we enjoyed the experience. They make a good Bourbon, but they also make a great Gin! Their Gin is highly rated. Good Distillery, a nice bourbon. Not my favorite bourbon but it's nice and I won't turn it down.
Love the derringer
Love the Darringer
Have you guys tried Wheel Horse bourbon or rye? I really like the rye as an affordable cocktail mixer. Haven't tried the bourbon though.
I got the Boxergrail Rye on sale at around 40$, and I've been super pleased with it. Have not tried the other lineup but would have loved to see your take on that had it been available. I think it's a solid pour, especially at what I paid.
The Boxergrail is the only one I’ve had and yes it is pretty solid!
Honestly I’ve been wondering about this distillery for the longest time and if I should buy a bottle. Thanks for the review!
