- When the NFL team the Las Vegas Raiders announced their plans to build a world-class wonder stadium in 2017, not many people paid attention.
Fast forward a few years and 1.8 Billion dollars down the road, Allegiant stadium has made its way into becoming one of the most breath-taking sports venues in the world.
Today, we take a tour into the inside of one of the most impressive and expensive sports venues on the planet.

As a resident of Las Vegas, I have been to both Allegiant Stadium and T-Mobile Arena many times. Both are amazing and provide a great experience for fans. How often are modern stadiums built directly in the heart of their city anymore? Very few. I feel sorry for 49ers fans who got stuck with Levi's Stadium, a stadium 45 minutes outside of their home city, with terrible architectural design, no shade, and ticket prices so ridiculous that only the tech libs from the area can afford to go to games.

I love the Allegiant Stadium because every time I go to Las Vegas and pass by it, I feel like I'm looking at an alien mothership.
University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale (Phx) Arizona - home of my Cardinals - was the first stadium to work with that retractable natural grass field where it goes out to get sun and water during the week. Such a cool idea, seems like it will be a feature of most new stadiums going forward. Nice work Raiders and the State of Nevada, this stadium is incredible.
Actually technically the first stadium(s) to utilise this were the Veltins Arena in Germany and the Sapporo Dome in Japan when they opened in 2001
Edit I was even wrong I forgot about the GelreDome in the Netherlands which opened in 1998

yes - love the Cardinals stadium. Had a blast there.
The roof does not open on Allegiant Stadium. It is fixed in place. UNLV did not get a choice of turf to play on either. And you can not go in and out of the lanai doors at the north end. It's an amazing stadium...been to both UNLV and Raider's games and took the stadium tour. Well worth the price!
UNLV could have stayed at Sam Boyd Stadium had they wanted to.
I think the lanai doors are proving themselves to have been a waste of money and potential seating.

My husband and i just went to the raiders bears game on sunday! What a stadium! Its worth the 1.8 billion! It is an engineering marvel for sure! Going back in a couple weeks!

Took the tour amazing. Would do it again in a heart beat. Stadium just takes your breath away. Take the tour you won’t regret doing it. Was worth every dime and more. Next I would love to see a game there been a fan since the sixties.

Anyone notice how new NFL stadiums are meant to look more luxurious and like a place where you sit down and watch a show instead of a war ground like college stadiums or stadiums like Lambeau or Heinz.
I took a tour of the stadium last year. It truly is an amazing stadium.

GO RAIDERS!!!!!!!!. I live in Australia, both my husband and I are. Huge Raiders fans, we hope one day to go to Las Vegas to see a Raiders home game.
They got to fix the parking situation ASAP!!! I went there to watch the gold cup final and the whole parking situation was a disaster for many people. Lucky for me, I decided to walk and to take and Uber. Other than that, yes, one of the best stadiums I’ve ever seen.
A Vegas local mentioned that last year in his video before it was finished. He said transiting to and from the stadium will be be chaos.

Was going to go to the Raiders Ravens game, but was not willing to pay for mortgage like prices for a 3 hour game. I will keep my money and pay my own mortgage!
Yeah sure it's cool..When I looked up the prices, thought the same as you. It's too bad Oakland couldn't get it together.
Buy tickets at the last minute and the prices plummet - just went this weekend it was amazing. I think there will always be a glut of tickets for regular season games.

I work at the stadium for events.
One night I was prepping for an event and me and my two coworkers were the last people there. They shut off all the lights in the stadium and I had to go drop off the trash by myself. It was so spooky.
I was just there for the first pre season game and everything was perfect but they definitely lied about internet connection 😂

It was originally going to be retractable but they changed because it would have taken away from the translucent roof look and went with the side doors, which imo in Vegas was a much better design and pretty unique, lol ATT here in Dallas has very few chances to open the roof, fucking blast furnace, do not let that humidity in with that heat haha. Being a Raiders fan I will be bias but I like the way Allegiant looks to ATT, both are amazing but I've been to ATT and it is looking like Allegiant tops it.

You know who built the best stadium? Rome, 2000 years ago! They did shit we still can't do today!
Actually, we can do everything that the Romans did 2000 years ago, but nobody wants to pay for all of that stone and concrete when we have something way more efficient called steel. Still, the fact that they were able to build the Colosseum without any modern materials or construction techniques is absolutely unbelievable.
State of the art blue print that many will follow in the NFL and across the globe well done.

That is impressive! Soon the Bears will have a new stadium in Arlington Heights... I cannot wait! In the meantime I will definitely visit Las Vegas for a game or two. I'm not the typical Bears fan I hope they opt for a retractable dome. Foul weather is not the advantage so many think it is. I prefer a very well played game where the athletes can truly show their precision, and fans can pack the stadium and be comfortable.
I've been going to Soldier Field for 20 years. (Missed a few years) And I would love a retractable roof. Been to some pretty miserable games there.
