Time has marked his greatness as one of the genius guitar players of all time in any genre. He could make the guitar sing, talk, wale, and yell......or whisper in the softness of total clarity. His spirit was connected to the music he created.....the guitar was his way of expressing himself.
I was born 5 years after he died. But the impact he has had on my life in music, as well as personal decisions, I believe he has helped me change my life around. He really feels like a good friend that passed away, but never knew them. I think about him everyday, and I’ve never felt that way about a musician or celebrity but god damn Stevie was one of a kind. Wish he could be here to see the millions and millions of people he inspired.
His name was Stevie Ray Vaughan, not Steve Austin knucklehead! You must be having WWE Dream's! I know where he was from but use his maiden name if you going to refer to him!
R.I.P. To Stevie Ray Vaughan.....gone but never forgotten, your legacy will live on forever through the awesome music you left us to share with the world.
When he played, you just heard and felt his soul pouring from the guitar. I fell in love with his music since my Dad first introduced me to his music at 5 or 6 years old. Good ol' Texas boy just like I will always consider myself, even tho I was born in Wisconsin. The man was fuckin incredible!
i saw stevie play at the wellington town hall, wellington, new zealand in the early, mid 80s.along with his brother and fab thunderbirds.plus the opening act.a guy called rene martinez{i think} i was devestated when i heard the news.i still got his memorial poster on my wall.
Stevie Ray Vaughan could have only succeeded at getting better because he was already the best in his music carreer on guitar and singing..song writing..head singer on stage and a leader on strings of the guitar to get out the rhythem and melody..ohh.what a sound ..a very humble man and took life as it came on his music sucession and Stevie Ray Vaughan was young in his life of Blue's and Rock n roll..had a terrific band but still needed to include his band a few more musicians to really get and float out the music to the fans, around the world..fans loved The sound of Stevie Ray Vaughan's rhythem and beat..RIP Stevie ..u are still loved and hearing you in 2021 still..what's that say about the best?
So I'm assuming all you "Righteous" folks were dooming SRV to hell due to his drug issues! Let me tell you all something, I'm Thankful he got sober but irregardless, this Man brought a gift to millions through his amazing art and the Gates of Heaven would have opened for him regardless! If every person who had struggled with drugs went to Hell, Heaven would be a might empty! God understands our struggle's and this life isn't easy so stop with all the sober shit I'm tired of hearing it!
