  • I lived in Houston Texas When Stevie was killed. There was a lot of local coverage so I recorded as much as I could.
The first time I saw Stevie Ray was In 1981. A friend of mine said that there was a really good guitar player from Austin at Fitzgerald's that night, and that we should go check him out. We did go check him out, and because we got there early we got a table that was pushed up against the middle of the stage wall. Needless to say, it was an unforgettable experience, and one I've told many times. I was a huge fan, and it is with great sadness that I am posting this footage.

Saying he died way too soon is such an understatement. Man I wish he was still with us.

I can’t imagine how difficult it was for his bandmates to go on after the gut kick of losing Stevie.

Find the album "Arc Angels" featuring Chris, Tommy, and some of Stevie's closest friends Doyle Bramhall II, and Charlie Sexton.
"Why do things happen this way?
      I felt so much anger
When they put you away, Stevie Ray"

@@bbb462cid Understandable why they'd feel such a way. Now, Martha & Doyle are with him. Lenny (Stevie's Ex-wife has passed on as well.) & Many others. 🙏 SRV is missed to this very day.

@@Say_No-2_Animal-Abuse_ The thing I find best about Stevie is that later in his life, he hardly ever said a bad thing about anyone. he found respect for himself and that gave him respect for others. That's a pretty good set of memories to leave as a legacy.

@@crazydogproductions8158 yeah it was claptons seat...his entourage died in the crash...stevie asked if he could take the seat as he wanted to get back to the hotel an call his girlfriend...he had walked to the helicoptor with his brother an sister in law...but as only one seat stevie took it. Why clapton didnt go with his own lot is strange...
Im hearing that foul play was involved now by a few people an am intetested to see what they come up with.
Also stevie had a nightmare the night before that he died an saw his own funeral...it shook him up really bad an he told his bandmates - so why get on a damn helicoptor in dense fog!!? Even Buddy Guy who was with clapton in his helicoptot said until he saw the city lights he was scared in his ride!! Such a wasted talent...cudv been as big as Elvis i believe...cud play anything, just as Elvis cud sing anything....all that unknown potential 😕 wud b like Elvis being killed not long after becomimg famous...there wud b no king or the legend he has become....just a taste of great potential.
RIP Stevie...u didnt deserve to go that way! 💞🙏

@@3SeveredHeads Definitely I've heard the same thing. By a few people & on different forms as well. We will never know. Anyway, his girlfriend, Janna Lapidus posted , in her Four Years In Pictures, titled book, ( Stevie's last 4 years with her) that a few days before his death, he relayed to her a feeling he had. A feeling that something was out to get him. An omnious feeling, a feeling he could not shake or put into words fully. They both tried to get past it, but it was still there. It makes one wonder, doesn't it? 🥺

@@Say_No-2_Animal-Abuse_Premonition. Yeah he allegedly told his band mates about a dream of being at his own funeral along with several thousand fans… sad he had to get on that helicopter. They aren’t safe.
