I hope all the young players realize what a privilege these videos are. We get to watch an actual GRANDMASTER play games against opponents of all levels and explain his thinking behind every move. This kind of content is priceless, and we're getting it for free!
Because you're old and dumb doesn't mean "young" players are:)
@@kjjunior7918 it’s ridiculous, like shut the fuck up already. Buddy is addicted to CZcams likes.
This content is the kind of content that I was promised when the internet was young: the world’s knowledge at your fingertips
@@timothyreeves615 I love that. Yes, back in the day, you had to buy a book and study it on your own. Or maybe you got to study with a coach for an hour once or twice a week. Now you can literally watch many of the most prominent names in chess play live games. Not to mention the ton of free courses available on CZcams. It's amazing!
It’s not that big of a deal, loads of grandmaster’s do it to get views.
Danya I'm going through a hard time (Broke college student, depression, drugs, etc) and these videos really make my day. Thank you for all the work that u put in them, I think I've watched every single one of this speedrun, they mean a lot to me. Thank you
wish you luck man, Danya's videos are very comforting, I watch them when im lonely or something, cheers me up.
Strength to you my good sir. All will be well in good time. Don't give up on your self.
for me, chess always makes me happy no matter what's going on in my life. it's a great thing to fall back on for comfort and take your mind off the world for awhile.
Super late but keep on the grind if you’re down. It’s been a tough season for a lot of people
Also for what it’s worth (I’m 29 now) college was my lowest time in life. You have no money and you work super long hours and don’t sleep a lot. Life gets easier!
Thank you, grandmaster danya. I drink your sacred chess nectar from the chalice, it cleanses my soul.
what the hell
@@TimTom he's kinda right tho
Bro... 😂
@@TimTom Father
So true. Lmao
Wildly rare opening, high level middle game, and a super rich endgame. What an incredible game!
Four knights is one of the most common openings
@@PieInTheSky9 The Halloween gambit, however, is not
I can’t express how much these videos mean to me. Thank you so much, Danya!
Danya is single handedly the best content creator for players trying to get better at chess :)
The analysis starting at 35:09 is the best I’ve seen by any grandmaster ever
Check out his US open endgame analysis, it's similarly very interesting and incredibly deep
Regarding 35:32, I thought of Nb4 also with the idea of Nc2 instead of Danya's Ne3. I was curious what the difference is and at depth 22 the engine said that Ne3 is brilliant with an evaluation of around -8.5 but then when I tried Ne3 it said it's 'best' with an evaluation of -9.5. What's confusing to me is that the brilliant move has a worse evaluation than the best move, can someone clarify this?
It was good enough to make a whole endgame series video on, but I’m glad he did it in the speedrun video itself.
I'm gonna rewatch second half at a slower speed. Narodistsky's brain when he switches to the fast lane goes a bit fast for me to follow.
Huuuuuuge props to your opponent. This was an incredibly well played game.
That monopoly example when explaining square control was such a good analogy man
This is still the best channel according to me.. Such a privilege to watch a GM playing
And explaining his thoughts and eye opening engine lines in detail to us!
Every time he says, "So, what should we do here?" I can't help thinking, "Well, you tell me. You're the grandmaster." It's like Tiger Woods asking you, "Which club should I use?" :)
I'm just being snarky. Obviously, Daniel is trying to get us to think for ourselves. I think he's probably the best online chess instructor. I always learn something after watching his videos.
This is great!, I've always had problems playing against the Halloween gambit, I will have to look up the theory on this opening
First time actually seeing it as premiere, got me excited 💪🏻
I love the live calculations at 9:50 very insightful on how you decide between lines and helps the viewers follow you
Danya be like: Am I sweating? Nah it's just rain, this fool could never make me sweat
This was riveting! Thanks for this video
Hey Daniel, your videos are so amazing! Thanks so much for creating this content
This is probably one of the best analysis videos I’ve seen on this channel.
a wonderful video with a wonderful game! thanks a lot
Always look forward to these when they pop up in my feed
Pumped for this episode
All of your videos are relaxing to watch, even this one. I watch them anytime I'm trying to unwind
This video is a gem! What great analysis. I got so much out of it!
Fantastic! Just as I was studying the Halloween Gambit 😁
LOVE DANYA🤝🏼
You don’t understand how much your vids have helped me man! In chess and in my life! Keep it up and hope you’re well
Can’t sleep well without the daily speed run vid before bed, right on time
Great, educational game, Danya. Thanks!
Fantastic video
Very entertaining, edge of my seat game
Good luck in the tournament today. 2 awesome streamers head to head!!
Ridiculous high level of analysis. I watched the whole thing and chess is just a small hobby for me!
soo good. God this guy just continues to churn out gem after gem.
Amazing content
The fact that a GM have to give back the piece in fear of not be able to play accurate enough speaks about how complex and brutal the game is. I hate/Love Chess.
Keep going sensei!!! I will support your work as soon as I can!!!!
Incredible content sir
I am learning so much from you, Danya. Thank you
Such good videos.
Danya, diplomatically and subtly catches up a stream sniper without saying a word about it. Brilliant tactics all over the place. Respect.
Danya helped me save 20% on my car insurance
We are farmers! Pam param Pam Pam Pam pam
Sick game. Unreal.
4:32 Gary K coming out naturally in Danyas voice 😅
i just wanted to recognize: the thumbnail game has been improving with every single video!!!! every time a new one of these comes out, i think "damn thats a cool thumbnail" without fail
Danke!
thanks
Thanks for the video I love you
35:25 Nb4 works aswell and it doesnt even need the fork, because after Bxa7 Nd3 it defends the f2 square from the bishop. (cool sidefact: the engine doesnt consider Nb4 until you plug it in, then it thinks it´s the best)
I followed IM John Watson's line from "Taming Wild Chess Openings" and kept both knights and like Danya played Bb4 (and then d5!!) soon crushing my opponent.
I built my repertoire for white around the Halloween gambit. Such a fun, tactical opening and not very well known.. but of course you had to ruin it by giving the knight back 😢
thank you sensei
At 35:22, after Bxa7, there's actually another move besides Ne3 that's even more direct: Nb4. The point is similar, it prepares Nd3 (which cannot be prevented!) covering the promotion square, and the king can't take because it needs to stay covering e1. The only difference from Ne3 is that instead of needing the fork to make things work, the knight on d3 also covers f2.
And as usual, awesome chess Danya! Thanks for putting all these games up!
I was just about to put this in an engine to check what I was missing, so good to know I wasn't the only one wanting to play this move!
Monopoly analogy for controlling light/dark squares was awesome
Pls make more high level content (1600-2200)!!! :D
Controlling squares is inherently good - particularly when controlling the square of the opponent's king.
I need to become more of a night owl so I can catch these as they drop
Holy shit that tactic you showed at the end, endgames are crazy
Watching Danya's games and analysis, I feel like Danya felt playing Magnus.
I love these late parts of the speed run where he actually plays against good players
7:25 when you originally debated that if you should take on e6 with the f pawn or d pawn, I knew you shoul've taken with f7xe6 and then fianchetto the Bishop on b7 originally. That would've been a fairly decent development only taking 2 moves and the bishop would've been in a good square to begin with, giving you extra tempo/tempi in this situation.
That was a great game
That Bf3 line was nuts!
Hope Danya does well on the Aimchess rapid. Good luck!
I think the best part was your verbal explanation afterwards. It was about human ideas that one can use in other games. I don´t care even if some ideas might not have been tactically 100% correct. Although they probably were.
Luv u danya
opponent's first move without the engine and blunders the bishop immediately 😂
37:20 we can count on mangus finding these in bullet games 🐐
Thank u😊
Danyeaaaah!!!!!
No need for excuses Danya! Ur a beast
Gg Sensei
That guy probably thought "alright he has no time i got this"
He had no idea he was facing one of the best blitz player in the world
Do you really think that was Hikaru?!
@@cx123456 he just pointed out that Danya is a very good in time trouble
23:20 "It's just staring at its own weakness..."
Aren't we all sensi, aren't we all.
No it's raining. These noobs can never make me sweat.
This is actually the first gambit I ever learned
at 30:35 I was hoping you would analyse Rd7, d6 then Nf2 with the fork , winning an exhange
tricks and treats! 🎃
my dream in life is to play a chess game so well i make a GM say "wow"
WOW. Live stream from Danya at youtube. This could be the catalyst to shoot up his subs for sure.
Coach Danya you are my favorite youtuber and you are doing so good. I just want from you a favor. Just make a detailed video on best mouse for bullet chess and also best mouse settings. Your mouse is so much good, accurate and speedy you flagged top gms.
Visually, that last knight fork seemed further away than it actually was. I’d have missed it too. But white had time to slow down and process it also.
Danya endgame skills are 🔥
Credits to this guy, wonderful and instructive game!
"soviet schoolboy move"
lol'd
12:02 Danya tries to bait the opponent into playing a bad move if he's stream snipping.
Letsss gooo
In the position at 24:00, would it have been a possible plan to not double the rooks, but instead use the A rook to perform a pawn attack on the bad bishop on C3?
I was a little confused why the call was to double the rooks when instead you could have gone for A5 into B5 B4
The rook and bishop were perfectly placed to defend and shepherd the pawns in their advance, and this in addition to moving the F rook to d8 and remaneuvering the knight felt to me like a really strong attack on both the D4 pawn, and breaking holes into white's queenside.
Let's go....
26:16 * Hikaru is typing... *
..Bf3 the deepest bishop move i have ever seen - usually they just slide along and across the diagonals :)
I would purchase danya sweat
24:53 I played a perfect game but I’m disappointed in my gameplay 😂❤
King Danya
What happened with the ending series that Daniel was doing?
just commenting for the algorithm!
what is your time zone danel?
0:09 a cocky 😂
Spooky game..
9:05 does b4 not trap the knight? Nb3+ Kc2?
ok nvm he explained it but damn that really looks like white wins a piece lol
I'm not quite seeing the reason for taking the queen with the d-pawn. Wouldn't the queenside fianchetto also take two moves? Also, what about the rook which is already on the f-line? Wouldn't it be enabled by taking with the f-pawn.
Yes, actually the line you chose.. Black is slightly worse in that position..
I feel like we missed a great opportunity to see what a GM would do while keeping the extra piece 😥
Also, Qe2 was the best move for white.
This opponent was one 50-50 decision away from drawing the game
