I still can't get over the fact that Danya has fewer subs than Hikaru or Levy. He is easily the best chess content creator. 💕 💕 😘
Entirely different type of content though. Besides them all being about chess, I don't think this channel is comparable to those. To channels that this is comparable to, it's already the largest. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
I totally agree!
quality of subs over quantity of subs! haha
@@steinanderson9849 CZcams financial reward system thinks otherwise!
Because not everyone is watching chess to learn
I absolutely love the longer time controls where you talk a lot about the subtleties of the position! I always get a lot out of it and it's fascinating
Dude I thought your last few episodes were incredible. Your Averbackh video is my favorite instructive chess video on CZcams. The way you slowly dismantled that guy was unreal.
Yeah that last video was deep. I never thought to play like that
That vid was truly insane
I agree that was one of his most informational videos , I think I learned a lot in that video than any other video
Indeed, it looks like he's getting even better at teaching
That's because one of Daniels main opening is King's Indian so he has awesome knowledge for that opening. When he plays other lines he doesn't normally play his analysis isn't as deep. Still amazing though I went from being a 100 elo noob to 1400 (still feel like a noob btw lol) in around a year from watching this guys videos and doing tactics of course
Def not boring man, main reason I watch your videos IS because you go really in depth into the positions, possibilities, calculations, and reasoning that goes on in the game, you literally answer the questions I have without me having to ask you, just FYI your one of the main Super GM's I follow due to the fact of your most educational videos, it might not be much to many people here but I went from 400 to 950 just by watching your videos, kudos to you and thank you for your time good sir!
Hey Daniel it's absolutely not a grind to listen to you talk about positions and moves in 15 minute games. This has to be the best speedrun series I've watched on CZcams! Thanks for such great free mentorship!!
"let me think for a second"
*literally thinks for a second*
He cuts it out for YT
Daniel, you have the best chess content on CZcams for those who really wants to learn the game.
The way you explain your thoughts through the game is very instructive. I’v learned a lot from you. Thanks.
I love how you call out "tempting" moves and explain the drawbacks and blunders that they lead to. Exceptional lesson!
Danya, I could listen to you explain the subtleties in a "boring" position all day long. You're a brilliant teacher!
Did you mean subtleties
Wow. When you said the game was not interesting. I couldn't disagree more. Absolutely brilliant. These are the speed run games that offer the most learnings. The idea of the trades in the middle game allowing opponent to place a rook on the 7th analysing that your pawn chain would allow winning chances, then delivering the exact plan as predicted, superb. Also well played by your opponent. Im very grateful for your chess teacings GM Sensai.
Yeah I dont know what he was on about. There were several critical decisions that he thoroughly explained the subtleties of and broke down in a way that can be used for my own games.
@trequor there wasn't a lot of opportunities for tactics, which I think is what he meant by boring. Positional chess is slightly less exciting content than tactical chess.
I prefer this time control by far and away, love it when I can see you go more in depth with your thinking during the game, lends insight that is invaluable. TY for this series Danya
Hey Danya, throwing my two cents that I love the 15 minute games, and love your positional discussions. Don't be discouraged!
Imagine you get a chance to play against Danya and afterwards you pull up the stream and he calls your game "disappointing" and "not that interesting" lol
many wish to play "not that interesting" games against a GM :)
@@kotbegemot-sp ill take the 'dissapointing' one with pride!
@@Aeradill me too :)
I wouldnt be mad. If its a disappointing game, and Danya calls it disappointing, then its disappointing. What matters is that I get lessons out of it.
Tbf the vienna mainline with Qf3 is a boring line, as you see it forces a balanced endgame basically immediately. Endgames can become exciting even if everything before isn’t, but this endgame was generally too balanced and danya won by exploiting inaccuracies that your typical 1800 is not going to
I actually love the explanations Daniel! I love the longer time controls you have so much wisdom to share. Don't let others stop you.
Daniel, I have to say this, it's a repeat from long back and still definitely true in later years. Your personality is so well suited for your audience receiving the finest learning opportunity far above most any other creator's site. Thank you for such patience and attention to detail with explanations digestible for the majority of your audience. You give it 1,000% every time and it's so Greatly Appreciated. Blessings from Oregon old friend! ... Mike.
This is one of the best I’ve seen. It’s why I’ve subscribed for over 20 months. It’s the type of thinking I need to understand so I may improve. Thank you 🙏
Thank you for posting this on CZcams! I appreciate your instruction, and endgame play!
Long positional explanations are my jam. If you're getting comments from people who don't like it, know that a lot of people do.
Also shame about that King B1 move. It was fairly even to that point, but that move just threw it all away and from then it was easy.
This game was so enlightening. I always struggle in "boring" games like this - although I personally don't find them boring. The way you explained how to approach the position really helped me! Thank you!
That tactical sequence at 24:20 dropped my jaw......insane.
Beautiful combination!
Danya, an idea for the next speed run - based on this great video - how bout you aim to trade a lot of pieces in every game, specifically to get into endgames in every game, and demonstrate the way players play the endgame all the way up the rating ladder? Much thanks for your great work! Cheers
Love your streams and speed runs !!!
Appreciate your channel so much! So humble always
It's always amazing to see just how many instructive moments Danya is able to extract from seemingly boring equalish positions, it makes you appreciate the subtleties of the game much more! Thanks as usual Danya!
what I love most about daniel is his attitude towards his players,he always respect them and his child like enthusiasm towards each game. really appreciatable
Danya listening to you explaining things is absolutely not boring! I love 'eating my veggies'. It helps me understand the board better and some ideas in certain positions. Please continue that :)
I haven't watched all the chess content creators on the platform but I would bet everything I have that Daniel is the best. Apart from chess genius you have an otherworldly teaching gift. Thank you so much for everything you provide us with.
Very instructive, thank you so much!!
10:35 this is so wholesome
Wow. Danya's teachings are almost like having a personal coach especially because this is my rating range. So detailed and instructive. Thanks Sensei!
Damn, just discovered your channel, your content is awesome, man
I was very happy to find the bishop sac in that line ngl, amazing video
Best CZcamsr. Amazing. Great. More people should know about this. Thank you Danya 🙏
Great video!
I was going to comment on the Kd2 line on 38:59 but the fish got me covered lol
Wake up babe, Danya posted again
I really appreciate the games, where you are focusing on the development and execution of a plan in the game. I find it very instructive to have your considerations about the strategic development of the game. Thank you very much Danya
Another great video!
Good god! All that from a a seemingly stale position. You really are an artist.
the only channel where i like the video before watching because i know its gonna be instructive 100 % of evrytime
one of the most instructive videos out of them all
Phenomenal teaching once again!
I prefer the longer time controlls like this one because i already know the basics and as the position is explained more extensively i actually learn something, as speedrun is now passing about my level
Awesome lesson!
I like how you explain ideas, much appritiated. I came here becouse you play the Vienna :)
amazing content. Keep it up!
Danya, you're the man. My chess is improving bit by bit, mostly thanks to you!
On the note of vampires, are we getting a Halloween theme video?? 💪😁
29:45 disagree that this game is disappointing/not interesting because there is no tactic. I certainly don't mind more games like this where you methodically convert a one pawn advantage to victory, and go through your approach with us
My favourite thing about Danya's videos is the awkward AF analogies. I find them super charming.
Amazing content
This opening is absolutely what I needed tonight 😂
You are a gifted teacher, please keep doing this kind of content
I play around this level on lichess so probably double digits otb ha but I found this to be one of the most instructive games ever. Thanks 🙏
It is in no way a "Grind" to listen to you discuss positional subtleties. The way you deliver your thoughts is the best of any GM out there in my opinion.
Much love Danya
The Nd4 pawn sac (with Bd4) was my idea too, I really thought it'd would give full comp
Great Kasparov imitation. More of that!!
Daniel this is an excellent video, I watch your channel for the great solid chess! I haven't found anyone else who can explain their thinking and how to win quite so well as you. Great stuff, keep up the positional stronghold!
Great Garry impression 😂
21:37 I was thinking of Bf6 so white could not play Rd2 and double because of Bg5. Thats why Kb1
This just enhances my obsession with the Vienna even more
Wow, on this level it's book and endgame only. Still Danya makes it fun and educational to watch.
this series has to be the slowest speedrun anyone did in anything, and I'm here for it
What a game Daniel. I was imagining being your opponent and it is incredibly difficult to find a weakness in your positions.
We never tire of you SenseiDanya! ❤
Thank you!
This game i think it is one of the most instructive games from the speedrun. Very very interesting.
Whenever I enter a Naroditsky video, I always feel like I’ve entered some secret underground chess club speakeasy.
Danya, you are my chess hero !
Best chess channel on youtube.
Very informative
Not boring at all. Full of good ideas
Quality content as always, but I'm all about the lowkey Mulan reference at 26:20
Great!
Yes we want to see you play the Vienna (gambit) ! Maybe a whole speedrun with it, would be insane ?!
Keep going for strategic games. We can easily learn tactics on our own, but to learn strategy is a lot more difficult.
Subbed. Im just embarrassed I haven’t found you earlier.
Nice game!
Let’s go Danny boy keep it up
Just realized those are vienna sausages in the thumbnail. Nostalgic.
Danya is the Bob Ross of chess
"And now we're going to push our pawn to F4, because every passed pawn needs a friend."
him and Yasser Seirawan
Yasser says hi
actually very interesting and not boring at all
20:50 History Channel bringing the real history out here
Best chesser on YT
Thank you! Maybe we can get some high level Vienna play with you as white please!
These games are way more enjoyable to watch than the early games
@daniel naroditsky what do you think about making a chessable course about the averbakh variation in the KID? I would certainly buy it
What if opponent went king f2 instead after the queen trade then bishop e3 to block check then trade then wouldn't he get to the pawn first?
24:00 what about ...h5 to prevent g4 Ideas and use the second option with Rh8-h7-d7. What do u think? Regards
This is what I wanted and this is what i get
15 minutes is perfect. Great games
Mulan reference! He'll bring honor to us all!
I love Danya's voices hahaha
Love the Garry intro
Danya's been watching Ancient Vampires
As a Vienna player, I love these, Just wished I'd get more ideas for white in these haha
hope u play some more vs strong opponents way more interesting
Saludos desde Argentina
lol @ that intro
Considering that Kb1 was such a bad move, was Kd2 Rd8+ Ke3, just going other direction, better than Kb1? Would it slow the march of black pawns?
FWIW I still find these positional, grind-it-out games fascinating and just as interesting as games with tactical fireworks. The latter may be more temporarily exciting when the tactics hit, but the former really display that kind of deep chess wisdom that must be developed with time and study. If the latter are shots of tequila, the former are like fine wines.
Ive been dying to see a endgame position , while its still very instructive to see all the opening and middle game ideas , its just a bit disappointing to watch opponents resign early and missing the endgame conversion which most of us might struggle with as well , so this early forced endgame is not boring but a welcomed suprise! Keep up the great content danya.
9:15 g5 bc if takes pawn you win the exchange
