    Salam aleykum,
As mentionned by the sheikh it's mostly about the inner motivation and seriousness.
I'd like to add the following:
Unfortunately many young Muslim think that knowledge can only be acquired in the Middle-East or Muslim-majority country, this is true to some extent. However, there is a lot one can already achieve without having to relocate to another country or continent. Start by memorizing the Holy Qur'an, sharpening one's adab and general behaviour, learning basic fiqh ul 3ibadah and learning Arabic (Medinah method books are a real gem). Moreover, I would advise learning some colloquial shaami or egyptian dialect arabic as it is the norm for everyday use.
This is already more than enough to occupy any serious talibul 3ilm for at least 2 years on a strict daily schedule. Also it can be combined with a full or part-time halal job and does not mean one must sacrifice his/her current situation for a sudden move to the ME.
The problem I noticed in Egypt is that many foreign students come wishing to learn Arabic but often end up staying together with people from their own background or native tongue, which means that even after 6-12 months in Cairo (often Medinah Nasr) they've achieved very limited progress in Arabic, and much of what they've learned are things they could have easily learned back home either will disciplined self-study or at a local masjid. Although I do acknowledge the added spiritual benefit of living in Medina for the Arabic pre-graduate preparatory classes.

Just study nuzhat an nadhr/ nukhbatul fikr by ibn hajar and also look at taqrib al taisir by imam an nawawi. Even in the famous arba'in an nawawiya. The principles are: aql takes precedence over the naql, khabaru/hadeeth aahad cannot be used for ilm yaqeeni even though their asl is ilm nadhari but it is proven to be maqbool (saheeh aw hasan). And the last one is doing ta'weel of quran wa sunnah in Allah's siffah. And the last categories has many sub categories if you study the firaq of the asha'irah, but the mistakes of the great scholars mentioned above was very minimal, as do all scholars make mistake. Just look at the results of thier work, the Madina produces the Saudi society (custome, the culture, the government, women, media etc) like wise the Azhars product is the Egypt society,

Let me be honest with you. You did upset me when you called the Dar Al Mustafa scholars “zandaqa”... this is wrong and I found it offensive.
That’s why I was little agitated, not for my sake but for theirs. As for what you call or say to me, I’m not bothered. So no harm, no foul. So it’s okay
      1) brother, the definition of the Salaf is the first 300 years, not just generations.
      2) the aqeedah of all these scholars are the same due to their consensus on the work of Imam Tahawi framework of what is the Aqeedah of the Ahlus Sunnah
      A) I didn’t know about Imam Tahawi being an Athari, so I’m not going to pretend otherwise. I only mentioned him due his framework of the Consensus Aqeedah which is taught in all universities.
      B) yes I know Maturidi and Ash’ari are not the same but they’re very very similar. I’ve heard they have small differences like Maturidis say “Iman (faith) does not increase in a man rather his taqwa (fear) increases” while Ash’aris say vice versa..

      Obviously, Ashari Creed is misguidance.
Denying Allah's attributes He and His Messenger ﷺ affirmed for himself, denying that Iman is belief, speech and actions (which Imam Shafi'i brought Ijma from the 3 Early generations) and the list goes on and on.
Some modern Asharis even claim the Quran we have is created.
Read what Imam Al Bukhari reported:
Imam Bukhari (rahimahullah) cited the statement of Muhammad Bin Yusuf:
“Whoever says that Allah the Exalted is not above His throne, he is a kafir and whoever claims that Allah the Exalted, did not speak to Moses then he is (also) a kafir.”
      -Khalq Afaal al-Ibaad by Bukhari.

What you say is what Al Ashari, Baqilani, Razi and Ghazali stated.
Lets quote Fakhr Al din Al Razi's own statement from Imam Adhahabi's book:
      Fakhr al-Din al-Razi (d. 1210):
      “I contemplated the methods of Kalam and philosophical methods, and I did not see them cure the sick, nor quench the bitter, and I saw the closest method is the method of the Qur’an;
I read in affirmation: the verse (The Most Merciful rose over the Throne), the verse (To Him ascends good speech), and in negation I read: (There is nothing like unto Him). And he who has experienced what I experienced, knows what I know.”
      Siyar A'lam al-Nubala 21/501
Abu Al Hasan Al Ashari himself stated in his own book that he repented and turned back from Kalam and follows the path of the Sahaba.
So when the greatest scholars of Asha'ira leave Asharism, how can you the spout their mistakes and reject what *Allah said about Himself* ?
Allah said He is above His throne.
Muhammad ﷺ asked the slave girl "أين الله؟" "Where is Allah? She replied "Above the Heavens" and the Prophet said "Leave her for she is a believer".
Imam Shafi'i commented on this testing, look in to it.
Abdullah Ibn Mas'ood Radiallahu anhu said about the Verse that Allah is فوق، Above His Arsh.

@@dragonofchaos7843 Generalizing the names of Allah to one only type is another sign of ignorance as you do. It only creates confusion and misunderstanding like you did in your whole based aqida. So here comes a clear and quick explanation, there are two types of names of Allah, those who can be used to name creatures of Allah such as Malik, Hakeem and those who can only be used by the creator like Al razaq because only Allah can provide or Ar Rahman because only Allah is the Rahman. For example, from the salafs, there was Malik ibn Anas or from the compagnions there was Anas Ibn Malik another name of a creature of Allah, the guardian Angel of Hell fire which is names Malik also. Last example of a compagnion Hakeem Ibn Hizam.
So the name « wahab » is considered as the second type of names which only can be attributed to Allah. So yeah, someone that calls and treats his brother of being a « wahabi » is a pure ignorant who only repeats what the media/relatives say to brainwash people like they got brainwashed.
« According to a fatwa by the website IslamOnline (which is overseen by the respected scholar Yusuf al-Qaradawi), using the name Wahhab without “Abdul” is not permissible because it is specific to God.
The fatwa refers to the opinion of Ibn Qayyim al-Jawziyyah that names that are specific to God’s greatness should not be used without “Abdul”. » Source : hawramani.com/is-it-permissible-to-use-the-name-wahhab-without-abdul/

They say that it is father's name, Abd Al Wahhaab.
But still, where is the "Abd Al"? They took it out and said "Wahhaab", that is what they call nearly anyone they disagree with.
So yeah, this is the Name and Attribute of Allah used to insult and slander a Muslim, even worse, A Aalim.
Now obviously someone like that is brainwashed and has never read a single book of Muhammad ibn Abd Al-wahhaab will continue this slander and he will take your good deeds.
Worst part is that when Muhammad ibn Abdullah ﷺ came to Quraysh, he forbade shirk and fough them and installed Tawhid and was slandered and insulted.
Years later when Arabia went back to worshipping trees, idols and graves, Muhammad ibn Abd Al Wahhab forbade shirk, fought them and installed Tawhid and was slandered and insulted.
Today the non Muslims keep insulting the Messenger ﷺ without ever reading his biography and today the misguided Muslims insulys IbnAbd Al Wahaab without ever reading his biography. Shameful.

Assalamu alaykum. In Russia in its capital city Moscow where the population is almost 18 million people (illegal immigrants are included) there are only 4 mosques!!! In one of the russian government controlled mosques one imam, the graduate of Al-Azhar preaches. He urges his Muslim congregation to celebrate Kafir holidays like New Year and birthdays, tells muslims to go to churches and participate in baptizing kafir children if they are invited to such events, promotes yoga, tells men not to have beards because beard isn't mentioned in the Quran, blesses music listening etc. Is it what Al-Azhar teaches? Is Al-Azhar's hidden agenda to promote secularism and liberalism in Islam? We know what happened to Christianity when clericals started reforming it. It is a dying religion now.
