If even a Jew or agnostic can be saved from hellfire, then why is it so specific with the Muslims? A lot of people throw this Hadith around claiming to be saved. Even a rafidha can claim to be the only saved sect. We need more context.
also, the end of the hadith mentions "And which is it O Messenger of Allah?" He said: "What I am upon and my Companions." If they are putting the understanding of someone else over the understanding of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wassallam and the companions then this it is clear that they are not the saved sect.

This is widespread among the youths and this is the spiting of the youthful rebellion against the elders amongst the people of Sunnah! The elders have learned some principals years ago when Adu Uwais was living (RA) and now the youths are pursuing leadership and are easy on the innovators and 90% of their speech is anti salafi and attacks on the people that travel the path! what frightens me about this commentary is indeed the intellectual dishonesty that it contains. Firstly, he said that ulemas discussed about this hadith, its authenticity, which you did not contradict and that's a fact, it's our duty to search all the opinions, he also said that Ibn Taymiyyah (may God have mercy on him) also wrote about the hadith. He never said that what came out of his mouth was Ibn Taymiyyah's words. He did give examples of ulemas who discussed the subject, I don't know maybe you expected more from him, but he actually did give... you criticize the man, by not listening to what he says , it does not do you honor as a Muslim, and worse, you induce that he is somehow trying to disrespect the old ulama .... How can the suufiyys and tablighiyys be mistakenly called salafiyys or from Ahlus sunnah... Abandoning the books of deviants after misguidance isn't tantamount to not being useful and the fact that many people are being refuted doesn't mean the truth shouldn't be adhered to. So, don't mix up issues and make everything seem catastrophic why sitting down there not making working with the text accordingly.
This blessed minhaj doesn't need watering down! The people error and we correct ourselves and keep it pushing! Mufti got in trouble with the safis because of statements regarding jarh and the science of criticism, the attacts on Shaikh Rubee has been ramped up ever since! The youth sided with Mufti and the elders sided with the Alim and this watering down of the haqq has divided the salafi dawah, brothers that used to be my sahab who were youthful have peeled away and the elders all over the US and the world have remained steadfast! The real issues regarding the hadith of the 73 sects is that it opens the door to the criticisms of the Shaikh regarding the 72 that will be in the fire! This hadith is in Imam Muslims sahih and we salafis will take the authorization of this hadith from the Imam and from the hadith muhuddith of our time Shaikh Nasirudin al-Abani (RA). The elders will side with the Shaikh and the youth will side with the personally and the one that will drive a wedge between the real scholars and the elders in the community, while accusing the salafis of being harsh when command the good and forbidding the evil which is what Allaah has commanded us with being assertive with this dawah, some are trying to emasculate the salafis and make us soft like the dancing dervish (Sufi). Some will not except the truth even if you give it to them with Honey!!!!

If they are putting the understanding of someone else over the understanding of the prophet sallallahu alayhi wassallam and the companions then this it is clear that they are not the saved sect.

Anyone who didnt receive the message is exempt and will have their own trial on the day of judgement.
Also, it is clear if the person is not following the companions e.g. if the person is saying music is allowed (by misusing verses/hadith which appear to support their claim) despite the explicit hadith and an ayah from the quran.

To say that the scholar's differ on this hadith without bringing the names of those alims is a means of bringing doubts to the people, shubhut! Did ibn Taymiyyiah say this about this hadith? This is a slick attack on the people of Sunnah, the people are of Sunnah aren't trying to throw anyone away! This blessed way requires that you make taubah for mistakes and keep it moving, not attack the people that tell you that you've errored! This is widespread among the youths and this is the spiting of the youthful rebellion against the elders amongst the people of Sunnah! The elders have learned some principals years ago when Adu Uwais was living (RA) and now the youths are pursuing leadership and are easy on the innovators and 90% of their speech is anti salafi and attacks on the people that travel the path! what frightens me about this commentary is indeed the intellectual dishonesty that it contains. Firstly, he said that ulemas discussed about this hadith, its authenticity, which you did not contradict and that's a fact, it's our duty to search all the opinions, he also said that Ibn Taymiyyah (may God have mercy on him) also wrote about the hadith. He never said that what came out of his mouth was Ibn Taymiyyah's words. He did give examples of ulemas who discussed the subject, I don't know maybe you expected more from him, but he actually did give... you criticize the man, by not listening to what he says , it does not do you honor as a Muslim, and worse, you induce that he is somehow trying to disrespect the old ulama .... This blessed minhaj doesn't need watering down! The people error and we correct ourselves and keep it pushing! Mufti got in trouble with the safis because of statements regarding jarh and the science of criticism, the attacts on Shaikh Rubee has been ramped up ever since! The youth sided with Mufti and the elders sided with the Alim and this watering down of the haqq has divided the salafi dawah, brothers that used to be my sahab who were youthful have peeled away and the elders all over the US and the world have remained steadfast! The real issues regarding the hadith of the 73 sects is that it opens the door to the criticisms of the Shaikh regarding the 72 that will be in the fire! This hadith is in Imam Muslims sahih and we salafis will take the authorization of this hadith from the Imam and from the hadith muhuddith of our time Shaikh Nasirudin al-Abani (RA). The elders will side with the Shaikh and the youth will side with the personally and the one that will drive a wedge between the real scholars and the elders in the community, while accusing the salafis of being harsh when command the good and forbidding the evil which is what Allaah has commanded us with being assertive with this dawah, some are trying to emasculate the salafis and make us soft like the dancing dervish (Sufi). Some will not except the truth even if you give it to them with Honey!!!!
