Seeing spudgun actually succeed and not get dunked on every 5 minutes in a doomer war is very refreshing.
That Venice and Hungary campaign is really not good for your mental health, this series so far has been like walk in the park compared to the other two.

The thing i've noticed is that if DM and Bohemia win the first war against Scandi/Burgundy, the partition of Burgundy becomes inevitable whereas if the reverse happens, DM still has multiple chances to come back from it. In every game where Burgundy and Scandinavia dominate, I've noticed they partition/kill Bohemia first and use all their warscore on him, after he's gone it's a one front War against the DM rather then a two front war.
Yeah, the DM Bohemia vs Scandi/Burgundy war is a little favored toward DM-BOH at the beginning but those two scale so quickly its not long before Scandi/Burgundy are at an overwhelming disadvantage. Unless they got some early victories. This game even more so because of the lack of a Bavaria player and the Bohemia player forming the HRE instead of Elbians.
@@whoknows7968 thats not true. Bohemia and dm are at an disadvantage as their forces are more split up
@@mememachine6022 Fair enough. I was talking about troop count but positioning is also important. Although that advantage is lessened if DM chooses to try squishing Burgundy between itself and Bohemia instead of committing to the British Isles.

@@whoknows7968 Completely the other way around, hugely favoured towards scandi and burgundy at the beggining, we've seen it a million times, but bohenia and dm scale so much better and have so much more potential that burgundy side has to desperately tear them apart war after war

Good to see a totally different kind of game this time. Killing off Burgundy, Muscovy and Spain really opens up the campaign.
I think this is the first time DM actually defeats scandinavia and takes scotland instead of slowly losing all of england and ireland to it

While the Frankfurt move would have helped in a 1vs1 i feel it wouldn't have changed Burgundy's doom.
The only difference it that the HRE would have asked the DM to join the war so they can both get the land they want.
if you can negotiate a 1v1 once you can negotiate it again, plus you can threaten scandi getting involved if dm does
@@duskpede5146 scandanavia wouldn’t have made a difference DM and HRE were more than capable of beating the two of them. The real only hope would’ve been trying to get PLC to join the anti HRE coalition by convincing them it’s only a matter of time before the HRE comes for Prussia.
@@perturabo7825 thats smart in theory but the fact that it was never mentioned in the video by any player means that something we may not know about is preventing that. like the fact that they're natural allies and plc wants land from Scandinavia.
the dm is proven to be bullyable though, even if they could take out scandi its still a credible enough threat that you can exaggerate to your advantage.

Hi, I’m the HRE, did you know that you have cores, the map mode says you do, and so do I. I believe that every great, secondary, and uncivilized nation in the world should get there cores. Regardless of infamy and brigade count
it's a bit lopsided that DM and bohemia get massive amounts of accepted and cores if they win while scandi and burgundy get jack
Not really, they aren't as OP but a burgundy with Rheinisch and a Scandi with all England are nothing to scoff at.
In most Spud games, Scandinavia beats DM and takes all of England or at least holds Scotland and takes Ireland. After that Scandinavia can dominate the continent and be the premier Naval Power. Burgundy however typically struggles more, unless Bohemia/German state dies or is an incompetent backstabber Like what happened with Radtad Bohemia and that really really really bad Danubians player in the Italy campaign.

Also to note about the base DoD HRE, if it does NOT own the brandenburg state (or just berlin, I can't remember) it switches back to Bohemia, this can still happen after HRE accepts the Germans and changes primary to rhenish. You can theoretically tag switch from Bohemia to HRE back to Bohemia, into Elbians and Finally into Germany, I can't remember if forming germany in DoD removes minor german cores if so it might be very minimally useful knowledge if that's the case.
Pretty cool nonetheless.

Why does this mod even make Frankfurt the capital? To my knowledge Frankfurt has never been the capital of the HRE. The empire didn't formally have a capital for a long time but Aachen, Prague or Vienna all make more sense.

Probably because it’s both low pop and has very few of his accepted pops so it’s better used as a bargaining chip

But war is only a minor part guys. Economic and diplomatic simulation is more important, so we removed the entire global market system and made everything min max import/export without consideration for price data.
