"you will never get anything like this in victoria 3" why you gotta hurt me like that, being reminded of the things we won't have in vicky3 after 10 years of waiting
Victoria 3 would be such a stale and pathetic game. I am willing to bet there will be an Android/IOS adaptation of it. Atleast CIV6 was a proper CIV game. Only the graphics were too cartoony. Here the entire Experience would be be railroaded and the options are so limited. PS. I can't wait to launch the suprise attack on Port Arthur as Japan. Oh wait. I can't. There is no Declare war button.
Victoria 3 is the oposite of based, Not historical and highly influenced by modern P standards that made the game p.c and DLC juice factory wich will make the game in 100 pieces, vic2 HoD will always be my vic.
The Ottomans pretty much lost that war for their side singlehandedly, giving up the entire Balkans and getting pushed across the Bosporus meant they could never realistically pose a threat, especially when they were launching attacks against Gallipoli and Constantinople that were easily encircled by naval landings behind. They should have been more prepared for the war in the first place by having their army concentrated in Europe and particularly in Bulgaria and Wallachia, which would have allowed them to link their army with Poland and Tatarstan in Moldavia.
I mean he couldn't hold the balkans on his own against aragon and hungary simply impossible, he tried as well but with poland and tatarstan sittin on their asses in the meanwhile he did all he could in that
@@lucasnadamas9317 he didn’t try, the first Ottoman units Spud and Hungary reached were just around Constantinople, in a position which was incredibly easy to encircle and block unit resupply(SHAPE). I’m not saying he could hold the Balkans permanently but a delaying action in the west while entering Moldavia in the east would give more time for mobilisation and allow the Ottoman army to link up with the Polish and Tatars for a single frontline.
@@deeznoots6241 he covers how the ottomans had a low capacity to replenish their forces. They couldn’t afford to do delaying actions or engagements to slow the enemy down, he likley would have just weakened himself for the later stages of the war and made them lose harder
@@Ryanfinder226 He should still have moved into Moldavia to link with Poland and Tatarstan, as it was all he did was get his army nearly destroyed in Thrace, and then get his army destroyed trying to attack back across the straits
Absolutely crazy how the Ottomans just surrendered all that Balkan land to you. Massive blunder in just letting you cut them off from the PLC. Good job exploiting that. Edit: It’s not the most defensible land but it wouldn’t have been hard to set up a frontline and link with Poland/Tartarstan through Moldavia
I beleive the ottomans correctly identified they lacked the capacity to replenish their troops at an acceptable rate. So they opted out of a slog in the Balkans that they wouldn’t recover from but Hungary and Aragon would
@@Ryanfinder226 they could’ve at least chosen to fight on better defensive terrain. As it stands they basically abandoned all those accepted pops (serbs) and industry to an occupation. My immediate thought was to their war exhaustion just looking at that. I definitely think they could’ve picked a better frontline to hold.
Taking sinai is a good investment for the future, i still remember that episode where the ottomans has a massive naval forcelimit with 1k ship stack and this is partly due to them having the connected ports modifier or what it is.

Yeah, it's one of his best qualities. He values the health and enjoyment of the game over always making the most numerically beneficial decision (which is nearly always to hugbox or vulture weak players).
@@CantusTropus he kinda explained his point from selfish POV aswell. No infamy thing aswell as potenti new land not being accepted pops, aswell as not defensible, while he had whole Spain to eat over the course of the gain, which is fully accepted.
@@zigoter2185 Hey, there's no rule saying that a decision made for altruistic decisions can't also benefit you! :p Just so long as that isn't the primary motivation.
I'd say the warsaw-istanbul axis acted too cautiously at the start. PLC wasn't even mobilized when the war started so they just sat back while ottos got pushed out of the Balkans. Neither started attacking until most of ottoman Europe was occupied and building war exhaustion.
The best way to go about this, give the fact that they couldn't have not known you were attacking them was to not fall back at all. Line up all troops on the thin hungarian heartland and attack all at once. Remember even though Aragon Italy and Hungary are connected, it's through a thin strip of easy to cut off land and spudgun could not fit his entire army in Hungary from the strat of the war.
Coming back to this video after a while and understanding what I do now, I feel like the diplo would've made more sense to ally with HRE, take southern France from DM, and offer them the Germans in Prussia and western Poland in exchange for helping your alliance. The connection between Hungary-Aragon is thinnest in Istria, so any offensive from Germany immediately threatens that.
I can see world war sides being east vs west blocks. DM, ARA, SCA, HUN Vs. HRE, PLC, Otto, Tatar I’d say the eastern block scales better later game than the west side as well.
in the long run allying yourself with the HRE might be the way to go, if you can isolate and remove the dual monarchy as a threat the HRE will tip the balance late game vs the eastern menace.
why can't HRE just peace with DM and negotiate cooperation in destroying others, in particular a few unexpected things about the war is that HRE sided with the axis rather than ara italy, ara italy has the more threatening border with mountains all over, while PLC could be partitioned by the HRE, meanwhile DM siding with Italy can be considered slightly weird due to the fact that they should have interests in Iberia, Savoy and Piedmonte. Can anyone explain the logic behind their decisions, it would've been more rational for both sides to swap up their alliances, in particular for the HRE to directly intervene in the war for Polish land, and for DM to go into Italy
I don’t know how the episode will end but you did a very big mistake in not moving your army cutting off edirne from gallipoli, waiting for the slower troops on the transports, instead going to istanbul
I mean Ottomans had a chance, but You can't pretend like Aragon Hungary Didn't have a huge advantage, generally same brigades fewer countries is way better + tech, and industry advantage. also the advantage of being the aggressor, you managed to divide PLC and OTTOMAN, well played.
