How does Shin Megami Tensei V Vengeance run on Steam Deck? Let's find out! Join my Discord: / discord Follow me on my other socials! / kingnarukami45 / kingnarukami45
At least in my testing, the 30fps cap delivers frames inconsistently. It'll totally run at 1080/30 on an external display but the frametime graph is not great. For external displays that support 120hz, 1080p with the steamdecks 40hz limiter seems to be great so far with even frametimes. Awesome video though I love portable computers and smt lol
@therealjaystone2344 I'm not quite sure what you mean, but I'm assuming you mean lowering settings for better performance? Sorry if I'm wrong with that. But on that note it's not a performance issue, it can totally run at 1080/30, nothing is getting maxed out in doing so. It's just the games built in limiter delivering frames inconsistently, if you use the steam decks built in 30hz limiter while running the game at 60 internally, the frame time graph is flat
Came here to check on the battery life. 3 hours can sound pretty scary sometimes but that's still a long time to do a fair amount of things in the game. Thankfully, I get to switch between my PC and Steam Deck for this game near seamlessly to afford to give the Deck a break.
Will you be getting SMT V Vengeance on Steam Deck? :)
Nah, PS Cinco. 🎮🇨🇦🔥
I'm hyped to jump back into SMTV. Hoping to start tomorrow.
I regret buying it on ps5 now… But I didn’t know I was going to randomly buy a steam deck out of FOMO. Loving it so far.
That looks gorgeous on the steam deck. One day hopefully I can buy one😂.
Im gonna, mostly, local stream at max quality super sampling.
But when going to work, 2 hours is enough to have a good offline experience too

I would suggest you to lower the optimization for performance

Better performance than what the switch can barely do
