There’s no longer a need to compromise performance for weight. Bergara has solved the issues of getting steel and carbon working together, both mechanically and thermodynamically, by introducing CURE® Carbon Barrels.
These barrels contain a center wrap carbon weave that is designed to align directionally true to the center of the barrel’s bore. Utilizing Bergara’s proprietary Cold Bore Technology (Patented), CURE Barrels weave continuous stainless-steel strands into the carbon fiber to conduct heat away from the chamber and down the barrel efficiently and consistently. This technology results in a reduction of overall barrel temperatures by an average of 50 degrees.

As a hunter, I would love to carry a carbon fiber barreled, carbon fiber stocked rifle when I'm elk hunting and putting on up to 14 miles a day! I would love to be able to do that with a Bergara (especially with a Premier series rifle)..... my only issue is I'm left handed, and the only rifle I've seen offered in a left hand version is the B14 HMR. Beautiful rifle, but awfully heavy to be hauling around in the mountains. Does Bergara have any plans to offer a wider selection of left handed rifles?

I don’t understand the point of carbon barrels. There’s steel, mesh, and a carbon wrap? What does the carbon provide at that point rather than just leaving it off. It’d be nice to see pros and cons of steel vs carbon. If carbon absorbs heat, what’s the point of adding it to begin with?
The main purpose is to provide a barrel with much less weight and a more rigid barrel. Our CURE technology will reduce weight by more than 50% compared to steel. As well as maintaining barrel straightness and stiffness.
Unfortunately, Bergara does not offer replacement barrels. Once you put 2,000 to 3,000 rounds through one of their rifles, it becomes useless.
We offer factory re-barrel services. The lead time is approximately 90 days and your accuracy guarantee will still apply.
@@BergaraOfficial would it be possible to rebarrel a different Bergara rifle with one of these? My CURE barrel accuracy has been phenomenal and I wouldn't mind saving several pounds on my B14 HMR.
Besides the fact that they came on here and told you they do offer a rebarreling service… any gunsmith can put a barrel on one, after all their actions are based on a Rem. 700, of which there are tons of great quality aftermarket barrels available for. Pull your head out of your rear.
