    • @varyolla435
      @varyolla435 Před 9 měsíci +9

      Actually claiming something to be a supposed doco = does not necessarily make it so........ So it was not a documentary in that what was being claimed was not factual representing claims rejected by the collective medical/scientific communities. It therefore becomes "entertainment" which happens to have been disingenuously formatted to appear as credible when it was not - hence it was deceptive.

      That's always the narrative behind the anti vax nonsense. I've got so many autistic friends and an autistic brother. It's hardly something that needs to be cured, they're all living happy fruitful lives, they just think a little bit differently than others do, and occasionally have more symptoms. I asked one friend if he'd prefer his autism or scarlet fever, and he said autism by a mile.
      The whole convo around autism needs to shift, and a lot of these autism "advocacy" groups aren't helping by centering autism as a debilitating disease that must be stamped out.

    The authorities failed her so badly, couldn't even prosecute the people who sent her the death threats since some of them were from Germany, but apparently they can prosecute slander coming from across the border.
    It's so sad, that she had to build herself a panic room, put herself in debt to be able to get security because she feared for her life...and in the end she saw no other way out but to end it herself.
    And even after her death, some people were saying how she certainly did it out of the guilt of knowing how many people she'd harmed by vaccinating them. That really horrified and disgusted me.
    I'm not even finished with my medical degree yet, but I'm pretty sure there will never be an actual medicine to heal or prevent the cruelty that some people inflict on others.

      So the real villain in all this = are the (anti)social media platforms. They are the ones who via their algorithms have been hyping the anti-vaccine misinformation/disinformation so as to monetize the fallout for years. They created _"da mobs"_ and they are the ones who are facilitating the breakdown of civil society. They have a lot to account for. Whatever traction Dr. Mike's videos may get rest assured the purveyors of misinformation via the algorithms here will see exponentially more because of course "clicks" = $$$$. I'm just going to say: no self-respecting scientist and researcher would say "I did this study, and I'm 100% sure it's true". Also, that's why we have a peer-review process, that's why citation counts are important and that's why the publishing journal is important. You can't just say "here's my research, trust me it's full of facts". But when someone says here's my published paper in Nature and/or my paper is considered highly cited, I'm going to say, okay it seems reputable. But if someone just tells, me that there's no doubt about what they think...yeah no...prove it.

On the other hand Einstein's teory of relativity not only offers an explanation of what grsvity is but its also more accurate as it can explain the movement of mercury and allows you to get more accurate results. We still use newton for calculation because its easier and its accurate enough for most things. Your definition of law and theory is not wrong but gravity is in a weird spot as the theory is more accurate than the law.

      @@marcelo_27 i'm very aware of the limitations of newton's laws and Einstein's theories. My issue with the comment that gravity is just a theory. Far too often people look at theories as something to ignore or that if you wait long enough they'll change so don't trust the science. When in reality it's not an easy feat to just disprove a theory and they don't just change on a whim because they aren't laws or that laws cannot be changed. Science is after all a way of knowing, but just because concepts can change doesn't make the original findings relevant as with the case of Newton's Laws and that we even have laws of thermal dynamics.

You'd think even if they refuse to accept defeat online in public, they would have some small voice of doubt activated when you do succeed to back them into a corner, but they never do. The knowledge base they have is also often so limited that their resistance to scientific arguments rises even more, because they have no idea what science is, how methods work or how rigorously defined the levels of evidence are. It's utterly impossible to help them.

    Each of these countries have there own medical teams and researchers that will carefully weight up different solutions to the problem. It may be they don't use the same treatment as the US, or they may deem that the US treatment is the best available. Either way, it needs to go through that country's own review process in order to be used. These countries have no financial gain from grabbing medication willy-nilly from the US.

      Hey, go through his medications with him and pull out a drug guide. Many times the elderly are killed because they are over prescribed. If he has several doctors the greatest the chances of that happening. Look at his medication list with him and ask him why he is on it and make sure it doesn't list one of his other medications being counter indicated and help him to bring those questions and his complete medication list to his primary care physician to make sure he isn't over prescribed. Doctors do kill the elderly with over prescribing. And they blame the patient when that happens.

Extremely limited out patient Services - even fewer cars. Less people going in for the little things that can be addressed over the phone or video appointments - less cars and people.
      Keeping covid-19 patients separate from others - less seen patients and very little cars. You don't normally see patients in their beds anyway because people have a right to privacy. I’ve had Covid twice. The first time I suffered and have had lasting effects for a year now. I had the vaccines and booster and would have been in the hospital if I hadn’t given my immune system a pre-infection helping hand. The second time I caught it the symptoms were less but the longevity of the after effects are still so present. I, a fit late 20s female, have a hard time climbing a 12 (set of) step flight of stairs without having to catch my breath plus other neurological issues other than the ones already present.

    • @varyolla435
      @varyolla435 Před rokem

      Yes. To develop immunity against infectious diseases - meaning the generation of IgG specific antibodies by your immune system - it requires you to be exposed. You can simply allow yourself to become exposed "naturally" so as to be infected - except that means you are starting from scratch while risking a full-blown infection which amplifies your chances of serious adverse outcome. The alternative is as you alluded to = vaccination. Vaccination exposes you to a weaker form of the pathogen so that your body still reacts to form antibodies - BUT - the chances of a serious outcome are lessened.
      Then already having some antibodies on board should you be exposed via community exposure going forward you depending upon the level of exposure either do not become sick = or you are less sick that you would otherwise be. The reason for the latter is your already formed antibodies help neutralize the virus more quickly so that you end up with less viruses inside you causing damage compared to someone with no antibodies on board. 🤔

    So, what happened to the whole herd immunity thing that you never hear about anymore and once you get it you can't get it again?

    • @varyolla435
      @varyolla435 Před rokem

      Nothing - except that a sizeable segment of the population refused to participate + the virus mutated several times in the interim to become even more infectious. It is as the lottery saying goes: _"you can't win if you don't play"._
      Moral of the story: millions of Americans as an example refused to be vaccinated. If you have 300 million Americans and a third refused to avail themselves to vaccination = that is 100 million unvaccinated walking about to subsequently become infected - and that's a big "hole" in your herd immunity.
      Meanwhile the virus mutated to increase its R0 rating from the original 2-3 to ~5 for Delta to ~18 for the latest Ba.5 variant of Omicron. What that actually means is that the virus is now able to better replicate inside of you generating exponentially more copies of itself. More viruses inside of you = more viruses you shed into your environment to infect others - courtesy of unvaccinated who being the easiest to infect are the main spreaders of the virus.
      You know firefighters wear nomex to protect themselves - yet they can still burn to death if caught in a conflagration. Similarly being vaccinated can protect you - BUT - if you are exposed to massive levels of viruses by others your antibody levels might not be sufficient such that you still become infected = though not as bad as if you were unvaccinated. It all boils down to "exposure". 🤔

I chose not to take the stupid jab and yet I've somehow survived all that exposure with no long lasting or lingering effects. IF being completely vaccinated is so effective, and so much better than natural immunity, how do you explain the president and his wife as well as numerous other people contracting it multiple times in spite of being fully vaccinated and boosted and whatever other terminology you want to use to justify lining up and getting another unnecessary shot?

    • @varyolla435
      @varyolla435 Před rokem

      @@jasonjames7792 I'm sorry your reading comprehension is apparently on par with your obvious lack of understanding here. Must be frustrating to assume so much = yet understand so little.
      Perhaps one day if you bother to learn the science you will understand what I noted better. Here is the simple version = you had to be *EXPOSED* to catch Covid. Let that sink in and marinate a bit. Ergo the people who exposed you more often than not were unvaccinated. They drive transmission.
      Meanwhile not all infectious processes generate so-called "lifetime immunity" - in fact most do not. Ergo despite being infected and generating antibodies - for most infections that antibody generation will wane in time. The more severe the infection then the longer the generation as a rule. Yet the more severe the infection = the more severe the subsequent side effects.
      Moral of the story: so unvaccinated are the main drivers of transmission + you irrespective of vaccination or natural exposure generate antibodies - but their production will wane in time resulting in reduced immune status + and all of above means that "boosters" will be required at some point.
      As an aside. So-called "naturally infected" people - as there were no vaccines available at that point - were being seen to incur reinfection early on. So despite catching actual Covid = they still found themselves at risk with enough reexposure and the passage of time. So if the risk is already there and you can generate antibodies with vaccination as well as natural infection = you choose the route of exposure than carries the least change of serious side effects - which means vaccines. Naturally you will ignore what I just noted - but no matter. Others will read and understand. 🤔

    Genuine question; can someone explain the incentivized payments for hospitals with covid patients? I understand that health care has a cost, but what about the insurance payments/billing patients, is that not where they get their payments? I honestly don't understand, it seems like they are getting paid twice. I'd love if health care was more like Swedish systems, but fact is USA residents can end up bankrupt and homeless after medical bills. Why are residents still being charged if the hospitals are already getting paid?

    • @FTZPLTC
      @FTZPLTC Před rokem

      Certainly, in most sensible countries that have universal healthcare, it's pretty uncontroversial for a hospital to receive the money that they need to treat the patients that they have.
      It's weird to me the way they're talking about this like it's a smoking gun over coronavirus. The system of allocating money where it's needed *could* be exploited... but it could be exploited with any disease or illness, not just COVID.
      I think the version of events that the documentary presents is incredibly US-centric, and that most of the arguments it makes collapse when you look at European countries, and see the same phenomena there, even though the profit incentives just aren't there.

    The flu vaccine, which was released in Italy,for the first time for the 2019-2020 flu season, was tested in the USA in 2017-2018 flu season. Also, it's not really uncommon to include H1N1 strain, as evident if anyone does a proper literature search. Also, the new type of vaccine was one of the several available option, and not the only option. Mostly for testing vaccines, only certain approved Mammalian cell lines are used.
    Also ,people should know that Mikovits (the person being interviewed) had published a study in the journal "Science", about a possible link between viruses and certain diseases like Chronic Fatigue Syndrome. Afterwards, many independent studies by different scientists were unable to get the same results as she did, so the sudy was retracted. Later, it was found that the cell line she used in her laboratory, was actually contaminated with that virus.

      She's referring (poorly) to the fact that we often take strains of similar viruses and bacteria from other species to try to genetically engineer them to resemble deadly human pathogens so our immune systems can memorize their shapes and create antibodies that will then work on the real deal if it ever does infect the body. Most viruses and bacteria affect only one "kind" of animal but then mutation can cause "novelization", meaning the ability for a strain to migrate from one animal to a different one.
