I sometimes get annoyed how he reacts to House's extreme perceptiveness. Honestly, it is fiction and can be over the top but some people do have this extreme perception. Worked with an older time maintenance worker, any problem that happened to any of the million dollar machines, he knew within moments. He could tell by the sound, he would look at some internal system and know it was another far removed system, listened to someone else maintenance and figure it out. He even figured out stuff before something got bad. Yeah, some of it comes with experience but as someone who has experience now most of the stuff he figured out still boggles my mind 10 years later in the field. At the time I described him as House and still do.

What frustrates- Ayurveda has the potential to shut down shops for all big pharma companies and it is not originated in West/ Europe... Exploitation - Is that not the case with allopathic medicine - what r hospitals, doctors, insurance companies, big Pharma lobbies doing today??? He is worried about gurus etc.... Misunderstanding of health care - He doesn't understand ayurveda at all..ayurveda is based on life style and focus on precautions as well as cure... therefore it actually helps u understand health care way much better than modern medicine. Diverts- how does it divert as attention? No facts only accusations.. Accuracy - piles,liver, digestive system, sexual diseases, skin care, dental care, kidney stone, heart disease are just few where allopathic medicine fails miserably.. Therefore conclusions - uneducated English Speaking white trying to sound intellectual on subject he does not know anything about the subject..

I am a Swiss living in Mumbai, India. My dad was a researcher in Switzerland in the pharmaceutocal field for what is now Novartis. The issue is not ayurved in itself (plant based medicine). Plants do have a known effect on our body, and the first thing that allopathic medicine researchers do when looking for a new medicine to cure a desease is to look into nature, ancestral or tribal medicine, for a natural substance that would work. The researchers may use the substance as it is, in a concentrsyed form, and under a controlled production process, or synthetize the molecule for mass production. In Western countries, for instance in Europe, allopatic doctors do prescribe sometimes plant extracts proven to work. These are sold in regular pharmacies alongside allopatic medicine and are proved to work and to be safe. Now, ayurvedic medicine, if prepared in a genuine way, does work wonders in many cases, but there is no control on what certain greedy factory owners put in their medicine to make it "work" better. They sometimes lace the so called "natural" medicine with heavy metals and steroids. These medicines do obviously not pass the safety checks at the border of European countries and are not allowed in. Also I think there is no commission yet in India for quality control on these products. This is why in India, our allopathic doctors (excellent by the way, India has got really good healthcare!) cannot safely prescribe ayurved to their patients. This leads to a clear division in practice between on the one side "allopathic doctors" and on the other "ayurvedic "doctors"". You can still go though for ayurvedic medicine in India, when recommemded in some cases or alonside allopathic medicine, provided your ayurvedic doctor knows a genuine person who makes safe ayurvedic products. Then, nothing like it.

I love to hear Dr. Mike talking about pharmaceutical monopolies on life saving medications. I have Ulcerative Colitis and I need to be on Infliximab to live- I almost died before I knew. Insurance denied me for a year, in which I had to hop between steroid courses and experimental treatments to try and make the wait tolerable. Luckily, some of these medication companies actually have their own insurance!!! For people who need the medications to live- I was approved by Humira’s insurance company right before my own insurance relented on my Remicade. But it’s something that isn’t well known or talked about but they would've given my life back for free!!!

On the first one, it's important to remember that surgery is basically a black mark on a player's record in sports. If he can get by with "a few weeks recovery" when he NEEDS reconstructive surgery, he can get back onto the field and maintain his importance. It's a very sick cycle of provoking players to fight beyond their limits and often leaves them unable to play. At my high school, there was a guy who was a running back and his calves were like solid blocks of muscle, but he tore his PCL JUST before going to play on scholarship to the Navy team and lost his scholarship trying to fill in as a QB after his leg left his running career in shambles. It's honestly very sad, I've met former college players who walk with a cane at 60 because their leg tendons are so damaged, they can hardly stand on their own.

Working at a trampoline park for about a month I’ve seen a a couple bad injuries on the trampolines mostly due to people double jumping to get the extra height for tricks. This reminds me of a case study in a book I read about a man who, to control his increasing heart disease risk, greatly increased his fruit and veggie intake per his Dr. Normally sound advice unless you unknowingly have a rare genetic disorder & can't properly process fructose. His health tanked, and he had to have a more specialized diet. KEY POINT: Book was about EXTREMES and THE HUMAN BODY. A very particular circumstance. Not something to base most peoples health on.

It's not fun but it can get worse because for me they put a stitch into the nerve cord 😂 eight years later they removed the testicle because I was in so much pain I was on a low dose fentanyl and lots of other things now they have removed it. I’m only on 60 mg of morphine over a day at least three days a week now low testosterone, etc it's really interesting how a surgery to save something can pretty much ruin your life well not ruin my life way more difficult

Avocados, potatoes, tomatoes, corn, carrots, oranges, apples, strawberries, raspberries, pears, spinach, even kale and so many more vegetables exist as they are today because of some sort of genetic finagling and much of it intentional and not just because nature said so. It makes so little sense to me how some people get so hard set in an opinion while knowing only the smallest sliver of information. Growth and learning happen because you are willing to be wrong.
