Thank you, Roberto, for all the good memories you bring Canuck fans. The First Nations' fans love you.
IMO the calibre of goalie he was deserved a higher honour than the RoH...but nonetheless that night was great.
True, and the number is simply iconic. I'm fine with RoH overall, but the fact that it's almost unthinkable to imagine any Canuck ever wearing #1 in the future is indicative of the legacy. The number's practically soft-retired already
@@ajbolt7there was 24 goalies in between Kirk and Roberto,, just saying
Luongo you were the reason I played goalie for 9 years as a kid. Always have been and always be my favorite player ❤
Honour (Canadian Spelling)
Honor (US Spelling)
HOUNOUR (Canucks Social Media Team Spelling)
watch out, point out any mistakes and they'll block you on twitter lmao
Great guy.
'oh really, beer league?' lol
thank you roberto. Wish you would win a cup with canucks
When Lou got shipped to Vancouver in 2006, thats when I became a Canucks fan. Really wanted to see the goalie that was worth Auld, Allen and Bertuzzi, and boy was he worth it. Had a lot of ups and downs on the 8 years he was in Vancouver, but I enjoyed it regardless. Best goalie Canucks have ever had.
no Kirk Mclean was.
Thank you Roberto. We miss you so much. Always secretly cheering for Florida now :)
👍🏾👍🏾
Best goalie ever to not win a ring. Dude was unreal. Great to see #love4luo
surprised they didnt retire hs number
Roberto was the greatest Goalie that the Canucks had He is a Class guy and deserves this honor as he held them in a lot of hockey games
Nah Kirk McLean was
2:06 I wonder if he's alluding to the infamous 2007 bathroom break haha
0:55 Do you think the folks who wrote the subtitles actually knew which Sedin was which?
They probably could tell the difference between each Sedin. I am able to tell who was who and the subtitles were correct (idk how to explain the difference but I can see the difference)
Louuuuu
If Torts and Gillis didn't run him out of town, he'd have finished his career with the Nucks and not the Panthers.
How did Gillis run him out of town?
@@t3jf agree with you and a thumbs up from me. He LOST HIS STARTING JOB to Eddie Lack!
@anthonys3631 Pretty much and canucks were becoming old majority of the players best years were behind them, needed a change. We at least got Markstrom who was a decent return for Luongo.
@@t3jf I just find it quite difficult to believe how Canucks fans still drink his kool aid all these years later?!? SMH! Kiss his behind praising him?!?! We should have won that cup in 2011. It wasn't all Lou's fault as we didn't score any goals. Kesler had a bum shoulder, Sedins couldn't beat Thomas, Hamhuis and Malholtra injured, etc. But part of the blame it is. 3 games Luongo was great, 3 other games he $ hit the bed, game 7 the team didn't show up. Got lit up Game 3 in Boston(8-1) and let 4 pucks go buy him in under the first 10 minutes of Game 6 in Boston a game Schneider should've started and Vigneault should've told Luo be ready to go Game 7 at home if Corey doesn't seal the deal game 6 and win it all for us. Being up 2-0 and 3-2 had he STOLE US ONE MORE GAME we'd have hoisted that trophy. 21 pucks flew buy him in 4 games, not good. So I'll argue with Canucks fans in the games Luongo played great how many pucks did Boston put buy him? 3 right? Kirk McLean got us to a game 7 in 94 and only had one bad game in that entire series. We were down 3-1 and he managed to rally the team to a game 7 in new york. I'm a long time yearly 11 game ice pack holder of the team and the 2011 loss still bothers me as imho I feel we should have been able to have won that cup.
@anthonys3631 I agree what was the point of having another elite goalie if we can't put him in when the other one falters. But can't put everything on Luongo. At the end, Boston was the healthier team and a lot of times that is the deciding factor. Luongo did have a history of falling apart at the wrong times like most of the Chicago series.
Retire his number. Ring of Honour is cool, but his jersey # should be retired.
