- We recently received a call from our foster care agency letting us know they had a newborn they were trying to place. After reading his name and seeing his photo, it was a done deal. We were in love right away! Our first week with him was spent in the NICU. Thankfully little brother is a fighter and came home a week earlier than expected! Going from 1 to 2 is hard. Going from 1 to 2 in weeks instead of months sounds ever harder. The mom guilt is a real thing. Just know that you are doing great and those boys are blessed to have you and David as parents. So so happy for you, i hope can stay with you forever.

Babies grow stronger with love and touch. I know exactly how you feel about being in the hospital and having a toddler at home. I was in the same when our baby girl was born early and in the NICU. My in laws had our Toddler while we visited in the hospital. You and David are wonderful humans for being foster parents again and so soon. Make sure to spend one on one time with Sebastian. Tyfs 🥰

Hey there! Just a question for ya. Maybe I missed this somewhere in the video but you seem to think that this baby is going to be in your family long term. This is a foster placement right? Is there already confirmation that no one else in the family might be able to take him? The goal is always supposed to be reunification so I’m just wondering if I’m missing something.
So do you immediately assume you will be adopting these babies instead of thinking that perhaps they will return to their biological families?

Genuine question. The newborn is a foster baby but the older boy is adopted? Wouldn't the "big bro" "little bro" shirts and calling him baby brother be very confusing for the older boy? The goal for fostering is reunification so this baby should hopefully go back to his real momma and Sebatian will be left wondering why every "brother" he has goes home.

I am so thrilled for you all! We are about to be assigned our assessing social worker for home visits (for adoption) but this video makes me want to do foster to adopt.
I had twin preemies, early intervention has helped so much with their development. Please consider looking into it once he is a bit older.

Congratulations!! What a blessing to have little brother! What a thoughtful gift from your foster care agency! That little animal in the duffel bag is a webkinz and includes a code that can be logged on to a free webkinz account and play all sorts of fun games and decorate rooms in houses, bathe their pets, and all sorts of fun activities My kids were obsessed when they were younger. It’s a bit too old for Sebastian now, but hang on to that code for the future!
