“If you’re a mom, you’re just a mom” I have 4 biological children and 2 bonus children.. I don’t like when people say “where’s their real mom?” I AM their REAL mom! There’s nothing fake about me! Doesn’t matter how a child comes into a family, that baby is yours and loved! God has a plan for everyone.

Team Queen’ s Fearn Tucker and Bentley Forever you really need to learn more about fostering. The whole purpose of fostering and not adopting is so that the bio parents can get their child back when they’re stable enough to take care of them (if they want to.) Something obviously happened for him to be fostered.

You do realize this is NOT her baby. This is someone elses child who longs for their baby to be home. This is sickness. I can't believe y'all are encouraging this sick women to bond with a child thats not hers. She'll learn in due time to not connect with a baby thats going to go home.

you’re going to need the Huggies little wipe bag to put on the diaper bag so you dont carry the whole bag of wipes.
little wash cloths come in very handy to wipe his face when you are out and about. You need the Dreft Stain remover! works wonders when they stain their clothes with food or formula etc., it works wonders.

I'm a tue believer in everything happens for a reason. You've gone through everything because you were meant to be there for this baby . He is so lucky to have you and your husband as parents, temporary or long term.
I love this video for several reason. First, my parents flustered as I grew up and I developed many siblings through foster care and now have several nieces as well. It’s an amazing journey. When I met my husband- we were 16 years old and my parents had a teen mom and her baby living with us. I told my husband back then- I’m going to be a foster mom when I’m older too. Sure enough, here we are. Fostering for several years. Every placement has been an amazing part of my life. The shopping is exhilarating and the ‘call’ is beyond anything I have every felt. The first week is scary blur- so many emotions. Currently we have a 17 year old and a 4 year old girl. Our girls are SO amazing. We have fostered many children from newborns to teens. They’re ALL amazing.
Finally, I work in child protection and love this video as it reinforced that there are still amazing foster parents out there... I love that you are so excited!!!!

I have no clue how foster care works but they definitely need more people like you two as parents to take kids in need! It kills me knowing there’s so many babies without parents who are able to take care of them for any reason. Will you have an option to adopt him? I can’t imagine letting a child go who I raised for however long! Also, do they give you money to go shopping for him or is it only your own money?
States pay monthly for foster care, but you buy the stuff to prep for it prior.

But to help you guys out there is priority to relatives so I would have your family talk to the courts to get your sister's kids so that way they're not placed with people you guys don't know. Sorry it's happening to you guys, my cousins were once put into the foster system but have since been given back to us.
@UCPhTdRqrXBbD1NsAuMeXi8A lol foster parents get paid to take care of them, they don't pay protective services to take the kids. You should be happy that there's foster parents like her who are trying to give the children everything they can since they can't be with their parents. And if your famlilies children are still being fostered and not adopted, there's reunification. Even if your families parental rights were terminated they can be reinstated, they just have to be cooperative with the services. Instead of being against foster parents, you should at least be happy that the children are being cared for until your family can get them back. I know there are horrible foster "parents" out there, but why attack the one who is giving the baby the best they can? Makes no sense. I would hope that if you have family in the system you would give credit to those who are doing everything to protect your family while you guys are going through whatever it is you are.
Baby shopping is so much fun but so overwhelming! You're going to be a great mama to your sweet baby boy!

The feeling when they bring you your child that your going to love and cherish is sooo emotional I still remember the day my two little girls came home to us and today they are my precious babies who are everything to me. I hope the bless for you and your family be ready for the rollercoaster!
I am a foster mom/adoptive mom. We become foster parents 2 and half years ago after a 5 year period of infertility and a failed attempt of IVF. Our first placement was to a 2 day of baby boy who we adopted Dec. 5, 2018. We also we had a 3 year old for 13 months and now we have our 3rd place with a 9 month old, and yes we only had a few hours with each placement we've had.
I actually got chills listening to your exciting foster baby arrival 👶! I remember that thrilling feeling when we heard the news that we would be getting our children. We ended up foster omg all three of ours and adopting them four years later! God bless you and your lil one! 💕

I really love the playtex bottles. Easy to clean and put back together. I find they don’t leak. I also tried a nuk bottle and like it too. Only three parts
Love it! My son is 5m ... hes my rainbow after 4 miscarriages. They are sooo fun at this age! Dr browns bottles are amazing the only thing i dont like is that they spill. I think you have everything you need! Good luck on this journey ♥️♥️
Maybe a Ergo or any baby carrier! We use ours a lot, especially when we're going to be out all day. Sometimes they just want to be held and not in a carseat or stroller so it's a great option that won't kill your back! lol
We were gifted three different baby carriers! They have been magical! Baby loves when I wear him. ❤️

Sun hats, pacifier clips to attach to his shirt, more bibs ( I have a heavy drooler), sleepers with zippers, lots of formula- they go through it so quickly! One piece rompers, our son lived in the his first summer. Best of luck with your new sweet addition. Little boys are so fun! 💙

I’ve been a subscriber for a long time now, but not a big commenter. However this blog brought me to happy tears for you! Being a mom is a wonderful, emotional journey. I’m so happy for you guys! The thing I enjoyed for my 4 month old was a bumpo seat. I know they are a hot debate, but some sort of seat, swing, or bouncer was great for us. My husband worked late so in order to get dinner or work done I’d set him one of those things for a few to dinner started.
Another great burp cloth is a pack of cloth diaper inserts! They are white and a thick muslin type material. One or two ply works great! 💜 So Happy for you both! This baby is lucky to have you.

I would recommend magnetic seatbelt holder for your car seat. They hold the seat belts back while you put the baby in the seat so you aren’t searching under the baby for the buckles. You can buy a set on Amazon. Also, there are silicone baby tethers. You put fruit in it and the baby can chew on it and the fruit comes through tiny holes in the teether. Clean up is a breeze. Also found on amazon.

Dr Browns bottles are fantastic! Helps so much preventing gas! A pain to clean all the parts but we loved them!

Thank you very much for what you are doing. I grew up in the foster care system and cant tell you how much a kid needs love anyway it comes. When you have older children show them lots of love amd patience they'll need it. I have 3 kids and was surrogate mother to my siblings if you need someone to talk to contact me of you want.
i grew up in foster care.... and was passed and passed around...when they would call with a younger child compared to me as i was preteen and they always would take the younger kid and i would go to the next home and sometimes when a home wasnt open i would go to a group home till one came avalible

Also check out Facebook and who you got listened with for gently used things. Depending on if you get more or the baby goes home. You may be able to donate and receive things for no cost. That definitely helped us when we got 3 boys at all different ages.

The best advise I can give you is,
If it's possible form a good relationship with the biological parents. We had a 3 month old placed with us and when she was 3 years old she was returned back to her biological parents that was SO HARD. But we had a good relationship with them so we do get to see her on alternating weekends it made for a relatively good transition for both her and us.
People ask me how I do it how do l
Deal with the heartache, I just say in order to love them the way they need to be loved you have to be ready to have your heart broken.
Weather you have them for a week or a few years it never gets easy when they go back.

I agree. I'm 34 now and the oldest biological kid in a family that fosters. My family has has 27 kids and we are all involved with them once they go back to their bio family members. I'm from Canada tho and we are not allowed to foster with the intent to adopt. The main goal is always to return to families. I'm a little concerned that shes going to get very attached to this baby when he may go back and he should go back if it can be facilitated. With that said, there's so many kids who really need forever homes.
Everytime a baby grew with us from years and they moved away it was heartbreaking. Absolutely crushing. But it's the nature of this relationship.

So happy for you guys! I have so much respect for foster parents. My aunt and uncle have an almost 3 year old foster son and they have had him since he was 6 weeks old. They are hoping to adopt him but still going through the process.

Girl we are on baby #3 and bottles still stress us out! 😂 We have used the same ones with both our older girls (Philips Avent) but things change even in just a few years! So happy for y'all!!!!

Lauren Wiseman it depends on a bunch of things! You can choose to do foster to adopt or just temporary placement! Not sure what they have chosen! and to actually be able to adopt, parents have to give up right or rights be termanated and no other bio family who is approved is willing to take it! A lot of things have to go your way to be able to adopt hope that helped a little!
