I don’t know much about music interpretation but when I listen to her play I can feel that she is telling a story with solid certainty supported by exquisit technique rather just playing the music to its perfection. Therefore she engages an audience like me to listen to her version of story. Better yet, encourages to listen to other versions. True artist of our time and a jewel.
항상 이 곡이 난해하다고 생각되어서 10초만에 껐는데요
임현정씨 해석은 저를 그냥 막 몰입시켜요. 여기서 못 나가게 합니다.

한 번 듣기 시작하면 손을 놓을 수가 없다~~. 그냥 빠져든다. 그녀가 전달 하고자 하는 얘기를 느낄 수 있다. 대단하다 이분.
I admire so much about HJ not least her low key couture style. Her interpretations are so interesting and her range of repertoire is staggering. If I have a criticism it is that her virtuosity sometimes takes her tempi over the top, but not in this Prokofiev which is just great.

She has a huge repertoire does and can play everything all 4 Rach ,theLiszt and Prok . She really is best in her Prokofiev no.3 and here.Her Schumann Toccata is the fastest ,very muscular and clean as is her toccata here but everything sounds different when she plays it .She brings something new -I don't really get it her phrasing seems wrong headed but she has studied with the best and gets great orch to engage her so I just wish her well ! I agree someone said there is a little of Simon Barere and Feinberg in her playing.i agree .She has her own strong personality and way with music we thought we knew all about .SHE MAKES EVERYHTING SOUND NEW ! REMARKABLE !
