- Hey Guys! Today's topic is talking about secondary market and pre-owned Rolex prices. The Rolex price bubble might be just about ready to burst. Over the last 6 months or so we have seen a huge tanking of Rolex pre-owned prices. This is coming off a couple year span where prices seemed to go higher and higher every day. This begs the question, Is it the right time to buy? That is the question on the table for today. Please let me know wha you guys think in the comment section down below?

I do not own all photos shown, nor do I claim too.
you can get a 126619LB White Gold Sub now for below Rolex MSRP... I think it's gotten crazy since you can't even walk into an AD and find one... this might be the bottom, at least for a model like this one,.
Never seen someone explain the topic like you have sir. Thank you for putting this video together. My Rolex Cosmograph Daytona should be coming in soon and I can’t wait!
Same here. His explanation was a light bulb moment on why everything collectable became so collectable.
Great video. I think the prices will continue to fall over the next 6-12 month. I have been into investing for some time. Not watches particulary tho but I can imagine most of these assets loosing more value because of the upcoming hikes in interest rates. We are also seeing big investors leaving the markets holding on the liquidity probably waiting for a lower entry point.
I think it's a good time to buy. Maybe the prices drop another 10%. But if you're dropping that kind of cash I'd imagine a possible discount of 10% isn't worth waiting for.
More importantly, great video, keep it up
I really appreciate your opinion and kind words. I am excited to make more content!
Where do you check pricing ? What’s your preferred source
Keep holding until you see more Rolex on the used markets. Many guys are realizing watches are not good investments or not serious about watches. Prices will drop more...
Good advice ! Watch and wait !
Prices will stay the same or rise in time. Bad economics now and prices are high. When good times roll around I highly doubt prices will drop
Good to see another video! Exciting stuff! Can’t wait for the Rolex!
AD called offered plan dial dayjust 36 I passed I need. 41mm
Interesting topic. Not a Rolex guy but here in the UK many jewellers shop windows are filling up fast with pre-owned luxury watches (including Rolex) at what I would consider to be unrealistic prices. As you say, people are liquidating their assets. Lots of Omega, Breitling, Tag Heuer etc. at prices close to/the same as the original RRPs from 15-25 years ago. Even Longines, Rado and Oris are emerging from cupboards at frankly silly prices.
No doubt sticker prices are negotiable but £225 being asked for a 1998 Tag Heuer F1? I have exactly the same watch and ADs were selling them for £175 throughout 1998 to clear stocks. I got mine for £160 as the manager knew me. I wonder what the seller was offered for it? My guess is 1/3 of £225! Bought a new Seiko Alpinist last week (SPB197J1 blue dial) for exactly £600, which to my mind represents superb quality and value next to a used quartz Tag from 25 years ago.
Thank you for the comment. It’s a strange time right now in the market. I truly don’t know where we are headed in terms of prices. Should be interesting to see what happens.
Why are people liquudating their assets? This makes no sense to me. Its not like theres a crisis or sth.
@@grapefruitsyrup8185 Cost of living crisis in Europe with very high inflation and a huge increase in both energy bills and mortgage costs. Predicted to last into 2024. People struggling are selling off accumulated assets to free up money for day-to-day essentials. Worst economic situation in the UK since the recession of the early 1980s.
@@grapefruitsyrup8185 Well I think at the start of the pandemic people were liquidating there assets such as luxury goods to make ends meet as they aren’t necessary. They were the first things to go. That’s what happen to a guy I bought a Rolex from. He was selling at a low price just to free up some cash.
I keep on hearing for past 6 months “to buy now” lol. Nah. Not a penny above msrp
I’m on the list for a Pepsi. Who knows when I’ll get it.
Hopefully soon! I’ve been waiting for a few months for my explorer. From what Ive heard the explorer specifically has a decently quick return time. What have you heard about the Pepsi? how long do you expect to wait?
@@JackOnWrist the sales guy said it’s one of the more sought after pieces. So it’ll be a wait. But I’m in Los Angeles and when I go down to Hill Street in the Jewelry District, the watch shops are full of Rolexs, time of Pepsis and Batmans and Subs. So they aren’t rare. People are getting them and flipping them.
You've heard of Jack on wrist but what about Jack off wrist?
