MSFS EXTREMELY busy vatsim event arrival into Birmingham ( EGBB/BHX )

- In this video, We are in the PMDG 737-800 flying as Ryanair 4AH on the vatsim network. During our arrival there has been over 40 departures and arrivals causing us to hold for more than 50minutes over Manchester Airport before our ILS approach into Runway 33. I was flying TOM1LA from LEIB to EGBB and luckily I didn’t receive any hold instruction. But the next arrival aircraft was told to hold about 20-30minutes😂

Hi! I see you have the same problem as me, the screen freezes during touchdown. Just remove some effects from cfg and the problem disappears, read about it :)

Quick question. Why do you have flaps out in the hold? Typically we'd hold in a clean config to conserve fuel. VIMD. Minimum drag. Good job other than that

I don't use any camera programs. I think your talking about the depth of field which is nvidia filters

Go on vatsim website for different countries like the UK and click on events
nice approach and landing. However i'"m 100% you were using your reserve fuel and should have diverted to your alternate airport as soon as you were using your reserve fuel. I guess you didn't anticipate the event and you add to hold for a long time ? and didn't add extra fuel for the holding ?
Yh I underestimated how long we were going to hold for. I only had 30 mins of extra fuel but when I hit reserves, I informed atc
No need to divert when using reserve fuel, as you can commit to destination. However it limits your options should BHX close for any reason. Another reason not to be holding with flaps out @TheKingzAce
@@Flapsupnolights Planning for the worst is the name of the game here. If you have burned through your extra and contingency fuel (leaving you with just your diversion and final reserve remaining) then you should SERIOUSLY consider diverting at that point and most airline SOPs would mandate it.
You could be number 2 on approach and the aircraft in front of you has a landing gear failure and guess what, you no choice but to divert to your alternate. If you've already used half your diversion fuel (bearing in mind alternates will likely be busier if a neighbouring airfield has closed) then you will be in trouble, legally, at the very least should you dip into the final reserves (which is about 1500kg on a B738).
That said, this is more how things would work IRL but this is Vatsim and personally I would have just stuck it out as diversion can seriously complicate an already overloaded system.

I have pretty much the exact same specs, do you have DLSS anti analysing on with frame gen?
DLSS make soo much blury, Frame generation is enough. I've got pretty similar spec but i7 10700k and on Ultra I have much more fps (1080p/60fps) because 4K is unplayable.
I just use TAA and sometimes with frame generation. DLSS is only if you got a 4090 for it to look good

10:57 that pisses me the fk off. I hate people on Vatsim who come right up to the arse of the aircraft in front. Completely kills immersion. Why not just land on top of each other then? ATC needs to start doing something to prevent this.
