  • Made my way out to Seacliff three times in five days. I tend to go to Seacliff a lot because its only 15 minutes away from me, is an easy launch and you are pretty much guaranteed to bring home a feed.
Thanks for watching. Head out, enjoy the water and stay safe. Always wear your PFD and let others know where you're going. Remain within the limits of your equipment and skill set. Have fun!

Hi John, Yeah thought I would have hooked onto a snook or two. I got caught in a bit of that dog poo weather, wasn't very nice. I've also got Friday off so will be keeping an eye on the weather myself.

2 sessions in a day that's keen but what a great session! You've got a Compass as well your Outback? What do you think of the seagrass green colour is it harder to keep clean or any downsides compared to orange papaya?

Hi mate, thanks for the comment. I sold the compass and PA14 and now just have a 2023 Outback in papaya. Many people love the compass but for me the seat was very uncomfortable and it is definitely made on the cheap if compared to the Outback. The Compass is good value if you can get one for around the $2k-$2.5k but then the seat on the 2015-2018 Outback is better for the same sort of money. I sometimes spent up to 8 hours on the water so I need a good seat. The PA seat is the best but the kayak is a bit of a tank. I've now had 15 Hobie kayaks, Revo13, Compass, Outbacks of different models and Pro Anglers. The seagrass green was harder to keep clean than the other colours I've had.

@@kayakfishingins.a4327 that's a lot of kayaks and a lot of experience! Yes I've heard others say the same thing about the seagrass green. Nice colour though..

Nice job terry... 2 times in one day is something I have never done I must admit, but something that appeals to me 😅. What was the weather like in terms of wind and swell on that day and the others as Im thinking of going out this sunday for some squid but dont really feel like capsizing or drifting like a madman. Cheers mate, and cracking vid

Hi Mate, thanks for watching. The first day out was brilliant but the last day (Monday) had the wind come up unexpectedly. It got cold and quite uncomfortable. So far Sunday is looking ok but check for updates the night before. Typically I wont go out in swell over .5-.6 of a meter with the period being under 5 seconds. Sunday so far is saying .5 @ 11 sec period so with light winds, it would be ok if it stays like that. Terry

Yea seacliff to Hallett Cove has been the most reliable place I've been over the years I go out with just a bit of everything and Wether it's squid leather jacket snook gar or crabs I always manage to come away with something

Yeah same here, I never just target one species and always come back with something. Sometimes its been the crab net that saved me, pulling in a heap of leatherjackets.

I have eaten the Banjo shark before. It was pretty good but too hard to clean and not so much meat.
