  • Plan A was to go for Crabs and Garfish. There ended up being a lot of crabs but nearly all of them went undersize. Garfish were nowhere to be found despite a lot of burley being used. Discovered a squid attacking one of my soft plastics. Decided to try plan B and go for squid. I hour later I had my bag limit.
Thanks for watching. Head out, enjoy the water and stay safe. Always wear your PFD and let others know where you're going. Remain within the limits of your equipment and skill set. Have fun!

You got some crabs & hooked a shark. I've caught a shark surf fishing in North Carolina but never in my kayak. Didn't know you could catch squid on a fishing rod. You were very busy there for a while. I never caught a ray in a crab basket. You caught a little of everything.

Hi Mate, thanks for watching and for your comment. Ive been to Nth Carolina many years ago. How do you guys catch squid over there? Not on a rod?

@@kayakfishingins.a4327 Not sure, I don't know anybody that catches squid. I guess I thought they would be caught with nets or cages. I found it very interesting to watch you catch them

Well done today Terry! I wish I could’ve come out with you. I don’t know if there is a size limit of bronzie’s but honestly they taste better then gummy sharks. If by any chance you caught one again you should try catch and cook up 🤤

Hi I live in Adelaide I have a Hobie Revo 13ft a.great kayak. Not too keen on berleying up for gar in kayak my mate had a four metre great white circling him of Port Hughes in his Hobie he was out about a one KLM it stayed with him until he was nearly ashore. I had one visit me in my boat off of Glenelg a couple of yrs ago both times berleying up for gar!

Hi Mate, I've had four Revolution 13 kayaks, they are one of my favorites. I know sharks are out there and I'm in their territory. If you're concerned maybe stick to the Metro areas where there are shark patrols. I've always thought that there would be a greater chance of me getting into a car accident getting to my spot than a shark attacking me on the kayak. I try not to think about it too much. Thanks for watching.

No worries it was November and I did have dolphins close by he tried to take my berley pot on rope at back of boat I literally pulled the pot out of his mouth. He would have been wider across his head than my Revo . I sold my boat and bought the kayak I go out whenever where ever cheers

@@neiloxley7904 That would have been scary for anyone to see I think.. Can I ask you why you sold your boat and got a kayak. I was thinking of doing the opposite. Selling one of my kayaks and getting a runabout to take my wife and daughter out.

Hey mate, thanks for watching. I have never seen a big shark but obviously they do live in the ocean. I know a guy who has been kayak fishing for 14 years and he has also never had an encounter with one. Once you've been out a few times I think the fear will subside.

Thanks for watching mate. I have never had a run in with a shark but have been out in some bad conditions. When I first started I didn't know how to read the swell and wind properly. Although I never flipped it was pretty sketchy at times. These days I really pick my days.
