Serious props to the medical team that took care of Kaulin, because he's like a dang ol billy goat, getting around like nothing ever happened. I don't think enough of those people get the recognition they deserve.
I know they don't...... I had a compound fractured right leg, rebuilt right foot and ankle that was crushed in a motorcycle wreck, November 23, 1980. ...... I will never fail to appreciate Dr. Holbert in North Bend Oregon.....I can't run, but I can walk.
Im new to the chanel, what happend to his leg?
@@gkbskt bad things
@@gkbskt All I know is that one was shorter than the other, and that he went thru multiple surgeries. Looks like he is doing great now!
@@gkbskt It fell off
i do have to say... these recent ones with Matt and his son are my favorite! I have a son and take him offroading every chance I get and i love their relationship. :)
Sounds like you need a side-by-side!
Need some Tom and rest of crew.
It used to be him and his older son Rudy
doesn't seem like he has much choice his employees don't stick around
@@bowtieenthusiast6672 His haters do!!!. Rudy has a great channel on his own now. I believe it's an awesome thing that Matt is not only providing for his family, he also is building bonds and memories with his family.
This episode is a throwback to the old MORR videos. No wrecker, no morrvair. Just mud and a banana
Matt saying hi to the kids and puppies is such a memory maker and on point for a guy missing church
The best rescues and video you've done in a long time. The Banana rules! This 75 year old woman, and a former Utahn appreciates all you do.
I was the lucky fan who got to drive the Banana up Triple 7 at the Off Road Games. That XJ is an amazing machine! Robbie is gonna love Deja Blue!
You mean Dory Deja Blue?
I still think it should have been the Bluenana. :)
I love watching this family, no foul or harsh language, and no angry outbursts of childish behaviour of most TV shows. Well done to you all.
They need a Hollywood producer. Get some TandA and some super stupid drama. You know, act like no human has ever acted.
Watching from Botswana Africa, I am always astonished to see the hard work Matt is always willing to put his machines through. The content is good! Thanks to you and your team.
Always love to see how great Matt is with kids and dogs (both his own and his customers). It's an excellent sign of a good man.
Agreed!
Haven't seen a dog that didn't like Matt. They can read it his expressions and know he's a friend to go greet.
He's such a genuinely good person, there's no fuss or frills to the way he interacts and does his good work and you know it's all the more real for it.
From a recent slew of your videos, we take it that Kaulin's leg is doing just fine. Amazing and wonderful.
The editor really deserves a raise! The graphics at 10:05 were hilarious! This episode had me laughing, smiling, sitting on the edge of my seat! That clay is nasty stuff, but the Banana got 'em all out! Very impressive.
Is Jefe still doing the video editing? Haven't heard anything about him in the videos for months now
No, Jefe is more of an overall site manager at the shop. They have three video editors now, each one works on the videos for each weekday they come out, Wed, Fri, and Saturday.@@musicman8942
@@musicman8942 I could be wrong, but I think Jefe is working the tow truck part of MORR. He was at the wrecker games.
15:30 most cars I have drove you need to have it fully stopped and foot on the brake then hold the traction control button for like 5-10 seconds and that will do the job
@@61rampy65 I know that for a while he was the one shooting the videos of the rescues. I also believe he runs the website. He just hasn't been talked about for quite the while.
The solo drive out in the Subaru felt so organic, like the early videos. It was nice. You should include more of that.
Glad to know I'm not the only one who moo's at cows!
Our family opts for barking at cars.
I just ask them to moooo ve outta the road .
I don't moo at cows. But I will point 👉 at them and say, "Cows."😅
They look delicious! 😜
Doggies.
Wow I didn’t think the banana could haul that heavy trailer! Very impressed.
It looked like my GMC Astro when I hooked up to a 30 foot rv trailer to pull it out of the way to replace it with another one. Saved the guy from unhooking and rehooking twice. Ha, ha, no, I wouldn't want to try pulling it on the road.
It's on 1 ton axles so...
@@Kovacreationthe axles are strong but that doesn’t mean the suspension, transmission and motor are built for that much weight. I know they were going slow and a short distance but that’s just a lot of weight for that jeep.
@jordanlambourne5230 once you put the transfer case in low range the engine and transmission are out of the equation. Besides if I remember correctly that engine has been worked on and makes 250 HP which is more than a lot of trucks make. My 1990 F350 had a 7.3l diesel and made 170HP, my 1989 F250 with a 5.8l gas motor makes 210. A lot of 50s single axle dump trucks has inline 6-cylinders that made less that 150 HP. A 25 HP farm tractor with enough weight on the front to keep it from going up into the air would move that trailer. I once moved a 70' house trailer with a 50HP tractor. A guy I used to work for helped put more than one 70' house trailer in position with a John Deere A which was also 26 HP
These jobs where y'all just stop to rescue poor folks really gives me hope for the future of our country. Great that there are just plain good folks around. Keep up the good work and thank you!
Yes, it was pretty awesome how even the kids thanked them sincerely. The dog got his appreciation too.
Yeah, that first lady after you got her out was so happy, then you gave her a tshirt and she's like . . . WHAT?
15:42 Matt and team! Majority of vehicles will have the traction button and when just pressed, it will turn some nanny’s off but not all (usually a stability control). When pressed and held (usually 5-15 seconds) it will turn off all nanny’s. I can confirm this works on Hyundai’s, Ford, Toyota, Subaru, Ram, and I would expect it to work on GM products.
Yes it works on GM too. My Silverado is pretty dang squirrelly in the snow with it off. That tech has come a long way but sometimes it still sucks!
I'm thinking you need a nice "Matt's Off-road Recovery Squeegee"
If that's not a testament to the capability of the Patagonia tires, I'm not sure what would be. Another great video from the MORR family. Thank you.
Mine have been great in mud, snow, and sand!!!! 👍👍👍
Comparing any other tire... that's literally the only way to tell... you can't tell much seeing one vehicle do anything other than its fun
@@16driver16
I can tell that one vehicle can get around pretty well in the mud in a couple different instances. One pulling a small car from a place it couldn't remove itself from. Another pulling a fairly heavy trailer through the mud fairly well. I realize this particular JK punches above it's weight limit, and does so while turning said tires. Thank you.
@richwood8650 its an xj not a jk... you know NOTHING and just PROVED SO!!!
@richwood8650 I'm trying to tell you every mud is different even the same mud is different over time... without something to compare to you can't tell how well the tires helped at all... THE VEHICLE did well... whether the tires helped or not is interminable with this information set
Best video you've done in months. Finally back to why we all started watching.
There no better inheritance than a father teaching his sons how the business is run rather than just handing them a business they don’t know how to run. Great job Matt
I do off-road recoveries in Northern Alberta. I know everybody says they have mud, but boy, we have mud or choking dust. I carry a 1 gal pump-up sprayer with washer fluid and a squeegee for the windows.
Northern Alberta mud Pffff we carry 5 gallon pump sprayers.🤪
I suggest you carry a full 2 gallon garden pump sprayer with you on all recoveries. It becomes a micro pressure washer for hands and mirrors, an emergency water supply, and a way to cool overheated engines. Thrift store beach towels are always handy to have off-road.
Why not a 1gallon
Jk
@@Jaxon1127 I'm slowly realizing that part of the MORR schtick is to show them going unprepared. Example; go on a snow recovery in t-shirts. Only the young lady was smart enough to bring gloves.
love that they helped that woman. most others would drive by or offer it as a recovery call.
Hey Matt I just wanna say I appreciate you coming and participating in the Freedom 500. I couldn’t be there as I had hoped but I watched every second on the PPV pulling for my Hurricane Utah favorite ! ❤
Man, what a workhorse the banana is… love it!
Hear, Hear !
Mudding puts grit in joints. It cakes grease turning joints dry.
A machinist in the neighborhood told me what mud and muddy water does to joints as a teenager, and I have never mudded since.
That's why they make pressure washers and gear and oil
How is your username Mr stay brown but you don’t go muddin?? Lmao 😂
Lmao ok. So I Spose u do t drive down gravel roads either !? My family lives down gravel my house is on gravel an when it’s wet that gets everywhere so your gonna tell me my everyday driving is gonna ruin my vehicle well I think u should double check his info. It may ruin them but if taken care of an have the proper protection your fine. Lmao 😂
Some conditions are harder on components than others. You do what you NEED TO DO. Unless it's just a hobby and you don't mind the effort and dollars for additional maintenance.
I don't intentionally drive through mud or water unless there is a destination that requires it.
As an old dirtbiker, I concur.. sometimes it would take just as long to wash the bike as I'd rode it!
@@randytolle6706
I'm glad I get to see a good father and son relationship on the Internet.
You guys could do with a nice set of walkie talkies.
Saves jelling at each other when spotting.
Awesome recovery video 👌🏼
I feel like a set of small handheld walkies in each rig would be useful in times like this where it's just two of you on a recovery. Not all the time, but when you have to have that communication between bumps and stuff...
What happened to the rugged radios?
They have a full set of Rugged Radios, they just seem to forget them alot
@@elblancochingon8138 They may have accidentally left them at that gas station they stopped at in 2023. :)
They need to get the headset walkie like Paul , Robby maybe Rory has. It’s hands free.
They have them. They just left them with the gas.
2:16 “ Hey 🐄 hey 🐮,those look delicious” what an amazingly funny way to start a video
Hey! I am a member of PETA!...................................................................................................................................................People Eating Tasty Animals.
It got me.
Made me laugh out loud!
😂
Such an awesome episode. You and your son make a great team. He’s really coming along and making great decisions and stands up not only with you sir to you nicely. It so awesome. Thank you guys!!!
That looked like a great day playing in the mud, reminds me of what we used to do on rainy weekends, except we only had rope ,seatbelts, and an endless chain ( block and tackle, usually used for removing engines 😂) as a winch,if necessary, thanks for sharing, all the best to yous and your loved ones
I think the tongue weight of the wood trailer actually helped you with getting some more traction👍
Sure did, helped to plant the tires and dig in that slimy mud... Just like the weight helped the camper.
Being aired down helped put more rubber on the road too!
Yeah, that weight really helped those tires grab into that thick clay bottom instead of just spinning on top.
yep squatted the rear and lifted the front.
I’ve been dealing with chronic pain from severe spinal stenosis for going on 3 yrs now and just had a pain pump put in last Wednesday. Unfortunately I’ve been leaking spinal fluid since then which has left me with debilitating migraines. Your channel has become the highlight of my day and wonderful escape. We’re just over in Vegas and hope by summer to be feeling good enough to stop by and say Thanks with some Victory Pies or one of my wife’s desserts. Thank you guys for keeping me sane and entertained. And special shout out to the audio and video crew for their amazing work every week to produce these episodes 🙏🏻🤍✨
Matt, wish you had a summer camp to send my boys too. Learning to work on vehicles, playing in the mud, healthy masculine comradare & leadership, and the great out doors... I know you don't have the time &/or desire, but I look at the gift your kids have had experiencing your life, lifestyle and adventures... These things are missing in a lot of kids worlds.
Beyond impressed with the Banana pulling out that trailer full of wood. That it could pull it at all was pretty impressive but in those conditions? Amazing!
I cracked up Matt mooing at cows and commenting how delicious they looked! 😂 It was also hilarious Matt hollering at Collin to stop!
Knock knock. Who’s there? Interrupting cow. Interrupting co…. “MOOOOOO!”
Could have been disastrous. Thats them there communications, lack of, again.
After watching the videos. I too bought the milestar pategonias. In 31s. They are great!. Did amazing in the snow.. and haven't gotten stuck in mud yet
It's only been an hour. You have plenty of time to get stuck
I runn Blizzaks they are great in snow and ice and I have never gotten stuck in mud.
Ahhh... springtime in gumbo country.... gotta love it!
BUT.... Banana, for the win!
And as mentioned at least twice earlier, a pump-up garden sprayer will really, really help with the icky mirrors and windows. Use it once, and it'll be part of every mud recovery.
Great to see the teamwork between father and son, one of my favorite Matt’s videos.
I didnt think you were going to get that trailer out without the wrecker. That was your best video in a long time. Great video.
The Banana upgrades definitely came in handy with these muddy rescues man what a muddy mess with all of recovery's. Thanks for sharing your extensive knowledge Matt of these muddy roads and turning off the anti traction switch and using the gas and not BRAKES! There's some very thankful people out there that Matt and Kaulin got em out! Good video!
I miss TomTom in these recoveries
Thank you Matt and son for the adventure and seeing some beautiful scenery !
That's the key to that shallow greasy clay mud- lots of ground pressure. It's why Interco makes super swampers and boggers in narrow widths.
Yep! Fat wide tires for sand, skinny narrow tires for just about every thing else!
This was really enjoyable. That old XJ continues to impress. I like to see the customer's look of glee when you get 'em out.
Love your content!! We have followed you for years... my husband suggested that... Maybe carry a tarp to keep you out of the snow, mud or whatever you have to deal with. Thank you for all you do..
It's the first time I've heard you say anything about making it to church it is very obvious your family has been raised in a church setting it's very strongly reflected by the respect and love for each other in your videos are always clean and decent but yet very fun and entertaining without adding harsh language and rude comments in it keep up the good work you and your family is a blessing in a dark world
They’re Mormon
That loaded trailer full of wood was like a mad Snow Runner job haha. Love it!
Snowrunner is awesome!
specially the part of using the wrong truck for the job but doing it regardless!
@@Aleblanco1987 Or running out of gas
The long press in the Subarus does help! Swapping ends is common thing. Keeping the rpm higher but lower wheel speeds is really good on them.
I love to watch you two work together! I think the 'mud jobs' may be my favorites. (It's the fun part, right?)
How about in the near future we get to see the whole group in their Corvairs going off to lunch and cruise around town for a bit? I think that would be awesome! Maybe have Caitlin and Ed follow along in the MORRvair with a box of fan belts in the back?
The Morvair pulling out that wood hauler was amazing. Would never think you could use a pintil hitch and a ball hitch. Great Video.
on a lot of the newer cars the trac control is two mode. Short push will let you spin as long as you go straight and a 10-15 second push is full off for hoony funs.
Matt and Collin are fun to watch together. Collin's personality of sweetness and a sense of fun reminds me of Lizzie. Collin seems very comfortable talking in the video. Great mud rescue.
I'm mizzing Lizzie!
Great video!! The first two were pretty much as expected, but the trailer full of wood... I didn't think the Banana would pull it after you unhooked the winch!! I guess the excess weight on the rear tires of the Banana gave it the traction it needed. Great Job driving Kaulin!!!
I like the new Father Son dynamic on the channel, it’s a great thing to see. I really liked the Episode with Mom & Rhett also, he seemed to have that “ Get-er done “ attitude. Lest we forget “ These are the good old days “ (thumbs up)
Mud, mud, nothing quite like for getting us stuck...
The most important part of getting any vehicle unstuck in mud is the nut behind the wheel - and Matt's one of the best nuts behind the wheel.
Wowser! The Banana was amazing in every rescue... and that wood ladened trailer was the icing on the cake!
pulling that much weight in that slimy mud I have a new appreciation for the Mighty Banana!
Awesome episode. Matt is like the patron saint of deep mud recovery.... respect all the way.
Collin is a rookie 😂 he rolled the muddy window down!! I enjoy watching you guys. You all are good, kind-hearted folks.
Banana earned its pay that day! Food for thought... maybe add a garden sprayer full of water to all the rigs. That way you can wash off the mirrors and windows when need be.
I always see you guys running into the traction control problem. A quick google search or youtube search would tell you exactly how to turn it off.. keep up the good work ,🤟🤟🤙🤙✌️✌️ i only live 3 hours away. I'm from az Hopefully I can come to an event
Hey Matt thank you. I find nothing more enjoyable than seeing what you imagine. And the recent relationship with your son added something beautiful in the content on the idea of your son driving in the jeep is better than driving you (translation from Uncle Google) 🙃

Good MORRning everyone!
Great MORRning to you John.. How is the weather your side of the pond today?
@@ColinRichardson Howdy Colin, it's warm with some clouds, rain is on its way later this week. We've had some awesome weather lately though. How is it across the pond?
@@JohnFL Well, we are told some sun is on the way, but I don't believe them.. Or if it is, it will be only for 20 minutes or so..
We actually had, about 2 weeks ago, the first clear sky (not a cloud in any direction) for the first time since early November. It lasted about 5 hours.. and of course, the sun in the EXACT direction I was driving.. so I could see EFF ALL. Thankfully, I still randomly had my sunglasses sitting in my wife's car, so it made it a little bit better, but still incredibly hard to see. Though, we had no rain that night, which was a nice change. But, we are old we MAY have high temperature of 7°C (44°F), which again, I don't believe.
It’s good night in Australia

Yup just MORR easy money 💰 👌
@@theuglytruth8162 Nothing is free. That's the ugly truth.
The Wrecker is a beast, but damn, look at the Banana. 😎
Where it all started, with the Banana. That Jeep is iconic and I can’t blame Robbie for wanting to build a twin.
That Jeep 4.0 I-6 is an incredible engine. Thank you AMC Great job guys!
Thank you guys for bringing us with you ! I enjoyed every second of this genuine MORR stuff
I love it up at Smith's Mesa. It's beautiful to see Kolob up there, but I've never been up there in the mud. North Fork is pretty bad in the mud, though, as well.
That was a good one! The banana, and the drivers, are amazing. Good job guys! Great camera work too!
The trick to easy cleaning after "mudding" is spraying everything with a good coat of cooking spray. That oil coat will help the mud fall off after. Works everytime. Sure it isnt cheap but its easier to clean after. And if you set one of those wand style sprinklers underneath and let it run, it will fall off. Or just hook to a fire hydrant for the pressure and volume.
You really need to get some two way radios. If you know you are going out in muddy conditions, get a Hudson sprayer (bug sprayer) with water. You can use it to hose off the windshield and side windows.
I can't believe those 5 young men just stood by and watched you two crank up that trailer tongue jack instead of jumping in and helping.
They have radios, they just forget to take them
@@72mardy I thought I saw a little walkie talkie hanging on Kaulin's shirt in that one clip.
They have some. Bringing them along is on the checklist before leaving, right after getting gas.
There might be some sort of legal/ins. reason why others don't jump in, or Matt wanted it to be Kaulin. But I agree. It looks pretty bad for able-bodies guys to just be standing there, watching.
You did. Apparently Matt didn't have his.🤷♀️
When I had a Subaru Forester I was constantly amazed by how well it handled in slick, greasy mud. Even with the traction control/ X mode on. Their AWD system does a really good job of evenly distributing the power. I'd take it over my truck every time in mud or wet snow. Especially once I put better tires on it.
Matt you sure have very useful information for people that have to or end up driving on slippery muddy roads
Thanks for another great video Matt you amaze me so much of what you know about pulling people out a different situation. I watch Robbie and fab rats, pulling people out most of the time they don’t do it the way you would do it they do get them out. Thanks again I wish you would build me a machine like that. I have a jeep commander that I’m trying to make it better right now I don’t run it won’t shift. I live in Smith Valley 80 miles from Reno. I’m 78 years old. My experience is a Rubicon and I am a member of the 4 Wheel Dr. association..
They sell gum rubbers with steel toe ya know? That be something to see steel-toe wellingtons lol
yeah .. i got a pair when i worked in Forestry about 15 years ago .. i may only wear them a few times per year .. but when you need them there is nothing else close
@@888johnmac Mine when I was logging, had big spikes on the soles. Screw in caulks.
I can’t believe that trailer came out as *easy* as you made it look! Well done, another great video!
We just stayed out at Under Canvas! Probably very close to when you filmed this! I thought about you all as we drove through Hurricane! Told my wife and kids all about Sand Hollow and how people get stuck all the time!
So we got a call. In todays episode:
MORR gets sponsored by Google,
TomTom almost loses a finger to the plasma cutter, and
Jake receives his cape and crown for being King of the Garage.
He said he hated mudding in his truck not yours.
Kaulin said he hated muddling in HIS truck. Lol
Great job as always guys 👍
You've got to give credit where credit is due! Those tires really work well in the mud. Even after watching Matt for years I didn't think the Banana was going to get some of these pulls today!
I like the fact that not only are you directing from outside, he's gotten a tremendous amount of experience at a young age.
My favorite line of his. ..."want to go mudding ... " ,...sure" and hops in their vehicle. 😂
Mature young man for his age.
😅😅😅
That sound Kaulin made while handing over the camera! Oh how many of those I have heard while making suggestions of what my son will be doing next to assist... 🤣🤣🥰
Love your channel!
You 2 make a great team! Collin's coming up through the ranks nicely! 👍 Thanks for a great video!
It’s cool seeing your boys grow up, gaining confidence, maintaining respect. Teenage years are so hard. Probably not always perfect but keeping it the opposite of Orange County Choppers is good wholesome TV… on my phone.
That is an awesome Jeep, worth the build time for sure! You guys work great together. Real team!
I really enjoyed this video! As much as I’ve enjoyed all the builds like the heavy wrecker and the Morrvair and the cool stuff you guys do with them, this one brought me back to what got me hooked on this channel to begin with. Just Matt the Banana and a Yankum Rope! And with Colin along it’s even better!
Speaking of the weather, how's Ed doing??? Hope he finds himself that gold nugget he's after before he's needed somewhere else😢 Good on ya Matt for having him around!!! Sometimes you never know why ppl come together but then you realize each others impact to the world🎉💪💪
Great video. Love your interaction with your son. Damn slippery stuff there. Keep them coming.
im honestly just surprised that jeep even turns on & off.. id be terrified to take that out to the mountain with my luck it wll overheat or something as soon as its time to leave, IMPRESSivE
The Banana is the best of the MORR vehicles. And it is fun seeing Matt and Kaulin working together.
That jeep is unbelievable, holy crap!
Every window up wile doing a recovery. Seems like a great plan to hear your spotter.
The banana is just so impressive. The xj is just such an awesome platform to begin with they do some absolutely ridiculous things off road with seemingly minimal effort
