- Aloha! The best buffet in Hawaii is worth your wallet and food experience. In this video, we were eating at two popular buffets in Honolulu, Hawaii. Both buffets are very different, but they offer unlimited poke, sashimi, and sushi! 🍣
I'm Sean Kaleponi, and since I'm always hungry, I decided to visit McCully Buffet and 100 Sails Restaurant & Bar in Honolulu. The first buffet we’ll see is the more affordable option, and the following buffet cost twice as much. In my opinion, both buffets offer food and an environment that is worth the price, but which one is best for you?

The adult price for the dinner buffet is $39.95. Senior and Military discounts are available from Monday to Thursday. Please call ahead and reserve for updated prices and various hours before you plan to visit.
The adult price for lunch is $27.95

We have many favorites on Oahu, but now this one is at the top of the list. Our favorite were the salmon skin hand rolls. Onolicious! Can’t wait to try more of your picks.

Thanks to both you I think we going go and check out the McCully Buffet. The sashimi and the poke is good enough for me and those Korean BBQ meats. We was thinking of the Prince Hotel place but with the 4 of us going be too expensive. Hope you guys go check some more buffet place. We coming down in February and the places we go eat I definitely going tell them was recommended by you guys, Aloha and thanks for the awesome video.

And Im not sure, but I think it cost less at the buffet for the kids at 100 sails. But either way, both are good. And I appreciate you telling the owners when you come here. After watching your vlog, on McCully Buffet, I just had to give a try. Sashimi was fresh and delicious and the marinaded Shortribs was seasoned perfect. I wished they would have more desserts and maybe some of that Korean style potato salad. I did mention to our server that we were there because of your video. Thanks Sean and keep those videos coming. I highly recommend visitors looking for places to eat on the island to subscribe to your channe before thel their vist the island. I also skip to the more expensive items at a buffet. Usually to the carving station and seafood first. I try not to eat the breads, rice , or any fillers that will make me full faster. Gotta get my money’s worth. Oh ya, dessert is a must tho!

You get what you pay for...and I would pay for both of these buffets! But if I had to choose I would go to 100 Sails for the quality, the view, and like you I love Seafood and desserts! The eggnog brulee sounds amazing.

I love 100 Sails! The last time we went, was the day after our wedding... we stayed at the Prince Hotel, and ate at 100 Sails. It was so worth the price! If you sign up for their Mahalo Club program, you can get discount at 100 Sails.
BTW, McCully Buffet should've had a soft serve ice cream machine for dessert... did it not have the night you went?

@@777trader8 I thought the same thing. If you want to waste you're money then be my guest and try it. But I would avoid this place like the plague. Sushi is not fresh, like it's been sitting all day in room temperature and I bet that's how they store it in the back kitchen. Also meats are the same... Sitting in its own blood at room temperature. I had to cooked it very very well done to avoid getting sick. My family and I we're very disappointed. If I was able to rate this place 1 through 5 stars this joint would get negative 20 stars. Avoid avoid avoid.

100 sails is great! Good comparison. We're not big on mccully but yes def get what you pay for. Try gen and shabuya too. Both ayce n reasonably priced

Good comparison! You are right, we went to McCully Buffet and the quality of the seafood and meats were pretty bad so no more for us we rather go to Zippys. The Prince Hotel Buffet is Top Notch but rather expensive but you get what you pay for. McCully Buffet was better when the previous owner Camellia Buffet ran it, it was our go to all you can eat buffet back then but not now.
Aloha Mr. T! I didn't think all the quality of meats were bad. Some decent and some really good. But def worth the price, esp for the Poke!:) I never went to McCully previously but the owner was nice and we don't always run into nice owners. Mahalo for watching🤙

Thank you two for the video. When I last visited there, I went to 100 sails too but unfortunately I didn’t get a chance to go to McCully Buffet. However I did pass by it twice. My eyes kept gravitating to McCully’s each time I drove by. Lol 😂 I thought McCully’s Buffet was Scottish. I thought to myself “hmm I’ve never had Scottish buffet. I’d love to try when I return.” Although it’s not a Scottish buffet, it’s fine because I’m Korean. My family and I will be happy to try it next time. We ate at 100 Sails when there were COVID restrictions, so the wait staff had to bring most of our dishes to our table. There were limited amounts of food we could actually get ourselves at the station. Anyhow, we ate so much Dungeness Crabs, prime ribs, crispy Porchetta and sushi.

Sean, when you say you're allergic to sea food, don't you mean any type of shell fish? You can still eat poki, sashimi and sushi containing fish. All looks delicious and one day, I'll be able to afford to travel from the UK to try out all the places you visit.

You're too generous and a nice guy. I went to McCully Buffet today and was disappointed in the quality and variety of food they offered. I went even when friends of mine said there were much better options in the university and stadium areas, but I figured I'd give it a try because of your review.
Aloha Gordo!! I think I made it clear in the video that McCully wasn't the best buffet and some of the foods weren't that good. But its def worth the money to me! I mean, how can you go wrong with unlimited Poke, sushi, Sashimi, and Meats for $40 in Honolulu and free parking? Poke isn't cheap in Hawaii. If your friend can suggest me a place that's cheaper, offers unlimited Poke, and high quality meats, then I would love to hear it. Please let me know in the comment and I'll check it out🤙😋

Alright, Sean let me just say thank you. I came to Hawaii for my aunt's 60th birthday celebration 01.05.23 - 01.11.23, she asked me what would be a good place to celebrate her birthday? Because I saw this video I recommended 100 Sails, I even showed her the pictures online she was impressed. Now we missed the buffet but my point to this is if I had not seen your video I would not been able to leave such a huge impression not only on her face but my grandmother's face as well. We did make it there in time to watch the sunset and took good pictures.

Hey Sean. I was wondering if you have tried the Lunch Buffet at Dukes Restaurant. And if so, what are your thoughts? My wife and I love Dukes here in Southern California Malibu but they don’t have a buffet(at least I never heard of it) like they do in Waikiki.
Aloha Michael! I've eaten dinner at Dukes Waikiki and I wasnt impressed. I think they focus more on the setting and beach view if I'm keeping it real. Just based on that. I didn't wanna do the breakfast or lunch because it should be consistent throughout. Hope you enjoy the foods when you come here😁🤙

Just bought 4lbs crab legs for dinner tonight $6.99 pound. I can't believe how expensive the buffets are in Hawaii. Buffets here range from $14 to $30 have more food selection than Hawaii, and that's expensive here. Buffets here also have various types of Asian soups. Before Covid buffets were even cheaper. ❤🔥You would have a field day at the buffets here!🌴🍍🌴🍹🌴
