Waikiki Night Market Street Food & Hawaii's Legendary Seafood Buffet!

- Another day in Hawaii and another day of exploration and eats! ...and Waikiki certainly makes eating easy as there is the Waikiki Night Street Market that's happening with many food vendors offering dishes from local seafood such as Kona Abolone to savoury delights such as lechon, prochetta, brisket and more!
But before that, I get to to explore and visit a legendary buffet where all the locals eat; that's the weekend seafood buffet at the 100 Sails Restaurant. If it's the go to buffet for locals, then we're in for a treat! It certainly lived up expectations and then some! Local seafood in many different form factors! From the fresh poke and sashimi, to the perfectly fried up crustaceans, and of overflowing mountain a steamed crab, it was seafood heaven! But what if you don't like seafood you might ask? Well, they've got that covered, turn to the other stations and lo and behold, you'll be a carving station where crispy prochetta and tender prime rib are being slices and served over and over again!

LoL... They were super quick at stalking everything up at the different stations 😋. In all honesty, really enjoyed all the places in Waikiki and the other areas in Honolulu.

(i know, because it is called Hana Hwy)... sometimes one will have to wait as another car comes from other direction due to it being along the cliffside at times and being narrow... I just remember when we had a stay at home vacation (well, Oahu to Maui) back in the early 1990s and we had to follow a gasoline truck and was in awe as he navigated the curves !

The dessert with the bright yellow/orange topping looks like passion fruit which is called lilikoi in Hawaii. It has a sweet tart flavor that is just delicious!

Glad you got to check out 100 Sails. Another idea for some content for you is to check out the offerings at 7-11 here in HNL. Although not as good as in Asia, we do have some pretty interesting options, from musubi to sushi to siu mai to pho to ramen. Your viewers may find the varieties interesting compared to what they may have in their neck of the woods.

Thanks for your post of Waikiki's night life. I've only made it to the airport in Honolulu on my way to and from Guam so it was interesting. Loved the 2nd plate you made of the fried seafood, that was my favorite.
How is Guam! It's a place I've seen on the map and mentioned a lot in the economist magazine, but never got a chance to visit.

Hi Tim, Hawaii Prince Hotel was our favorite seafood buffet before the pandemic! Haven’t been back since then, so thanks so much for sharing this video to bring back fond memories. The venue there is very relaxing and elegant with great views of the harbor. We like to stay there too. Aloha from Kaua’i 🤙🥰
It's such a relaxing place to stay and eat at! In general, it's kind of like this everywhere in Honolulu at least that's what I've been finding 😃

I suspect I had the Good Fortune of visiting these places. Hawaii was quite an amazing experience, people were gracious and friendly. A little pricey though, but an amazing experience 🙂

This is a nice show off video of your buffet experience at the Honolulu Waikiki Beach in Hawaii. The beach and shoreline looks so good. The food choices you ate looks so delicious and the family cuisine food shared on your buffet plates is so good. You look so happy eating every bites in your mouth. Especially, that sushi roll with that perfect wasabi soy sauce and cheese cream sauce salad. The night market happiness and your experience with the ice cream looks so lively and so fun. This is a nice good video you have shared. I would like to try eating that too.
The atmosphere in Hawaii is quite nice. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Lots of fun but a little bit expensive, 😉

You know, the hand rolls were probably the best I've ever had! I didn't get a chance to sing it, but it was a first time that the seaweed was nice and crisp and not chewy at all so you get a clean bite...

We had 100 Sails buffet about 2 years ago and the servers brought us the clam chowder, sea bass and crab. A lot of the food was delivered to our table due to Covid. The buffet consisted of prime rib, porchetta hand rolls and salad. Only about 4 options for dessert. That was basically it. It looks like there’s a lot more dishes now. My wife got food poisoning from probably the poke or hand rolls since I didn’t have them. I remember the clam chowder and peach ice tea was really good. Everything else was average at best. We wouldn’t go back but glad you liked it.
Looked awesome!. I’m very impressed they added to the desserts at close to closing. Not here lol. U snooze you lose lol. You’re the most laid back guy next to my husband. The bread pudding . The brisket yum. The shrimp 🍤 omggg. 😋

Buffet meals are my favourites, but under Covid-19 here in Hong Kong 🇭🇰, people don’t dine out as usual like pre-pandemic times. So much options to choose from : American 🇺🇸 foods - 🍟🥩🌭🍔🥗, Italian 🇮🇹 foods 🍕🍝, Mexican 🇲🇽 foods 🥙🌯🫔, Chinese 🇨🇳 foods 🍜🥟🍲, Japanese 🇯🇵 foods 🍱🍣🍙🍛, etc are my favourites, especially 🧁🍰🍧🍨🍮🥧🍦desserts 😋😋😋😋

You'll have a blast! Very enjoyable and yes most events or buffet dinning tends to the on the weekend. They have quite a lot of stuff going on so you'll always sing something exciting 🙂
If you are still in Waikiki then try to go to the Kona coffee purveyors, great coffee and fabulous delicious pastries
