- While Vegas is known for their Seafood and Lobster Buffets from M Resort's Best Steak and Lobster Brunch ; the best in Vegas to the seafood extravaganza at the Palms Casino, it'll be interesting to see if Singapore has something the matches or beats the Vegas standard.
Luckily, my good friend Kieth recently took a trip to Singapore and discovered a hidden gem. A buffet almost all dedicated to lobsters! From Singapore Chilli Lobster, Lobster in Laksa and black pepper sauce you'll find an endless preparation of this tasty crustacean-- baked, fried, grilled, poached to name a few.
This is a somewhat difficult to find buffet as it's one of the lesser known/hidden gems type destination. It's only offered on Wednesday and is available at the J65 Cafe at the JEN hotel. Well worth seeking out this hidden spot.

You are the only few food youtuber that I still follow. I've gotten tired of the over the top reaction after each bite they took and all the crazy editing. Your videos are very good and calming. Just a food lover that enjoys food like normal people (no fake reaction). Thank you for keeping that format and being truth to yourself after all these years
Mark Weins is good.
Will Sonbuchner aka Sonny Side is much more entertaining.
Agree with u bro
🎉 Truly a channel worth following.
Tim, thanks from all of us.
Stopped following mark weins some yrs bck. He didn’t do much on sea food.
Thank you so much for your kind comment... Just incredibly grateful and humbled to get to visit and share these experiences 🙏.
Absolutely love your videos and content. You seem like a genuinely nice person. Always so happy and polite. Thank you for sharing your experiences and all the hard work involved in putting them together
Truly grateful to get to visit and share these experiences. Thank you so much 🙏
Oh yes I have fond memories of this buffet - used to visit this hotel with my folks as a kid, when it was still known as Traders’ Hotel (it’s since rebranded to J65). Love how it’s tucked away outside the main Orchard Road strip too!
Tim, I should know better by now to not watch your video without a snack or two on hand. This was lobster overload! Thank you for taking us along on your culinary finds. Now, I need to get some lunch.
Thank you so much and I do hope you have a good meal 😉
I really appreciate all of your efforts. I get to travel everywhere and you seem so kind and humble.
This lobster buffet is over the top! Lobster, Lobster, Lobster, and more lobster! You must have been in heaven. Thanks for the amazing video. 😊
I was quite amazed at how many selections they have.. it was a little too much at times. I can't believe I said that 😁
@@TimLeeLetsGo me either! I really do enjoy your videos.
As always, thank you for sharing Tim.
Thank you for such a wonderful video….love your presentations! ❤
Thank you so much 🙏
Love watching your videos! Very enjoyable.
Thank you so much 🙏
Tim i love your zen personality and enjoyment for food and travel
Whenever I go to a buffet, I make sure that my first plate is dessert, which will be put aside to enjoy at the end. Another gem buffet Tim.
That's a wonderful idea.. nice to get everything when it's prestine and there's some left
Another great find 👍...all the food looked delicious, safe travels and God Bless 😘🤗❤
Thank you again Jade 🙂
Another wonderful buffet! Thank you 🎉
Thank you so much 😃
Tim and his potato salad... i'm Austrian and i wish i could invite you to eat our special dish from the "wild West" of Austria - Käsknöpfle (littel cheese noodels - all made from scratch) with potatos alad. i think your would like it - and it is so diffrent from the lovely seafood you eat (i love it - all kind of seafood, also we have a complete other culture of eating - as Austria has no sea)... I love your channel!!! Thanks for taking us round the world and all those lovely buffets
I think I would love that dish as well and I was going to type the name here but for the life of me I don't think I would be able to spell it. Thank you again so much and this is definitely a dish I will try to make myself.
Had to look up Kashnopfle. Sounds amazing. Will look into it later.
I really enjoy your videos, thank you
Thank you so much 🙏
Wow, that lobster feast was absolutely incredible 🤩I'm so thrilled they offer such a diverse selection, going beyond just the usual boiled lobster. And by the way, I still can't wrap my head around the fact that you're not a fan of durian 😶🌫 Great video Tim 😄
Thanks David! They certainly had a lot of variety. Unfortunately I was there a little too late and missed the king crab. Maybe next time. By the way, I found out something interesting, did you know Sriracha didn't originate in Vietnam nor california? The interesting things you find out from a tour guide in bangkok....
@@TimLeeLetsGo yeah it was in Thailand 😅 I can't wait for the Thailand series 😄
Indeed.. a great Buffet..
Ty Tim
Everything looked so incredible. TFS!! I'll never make it to the wonderful places you visit but, I feel like you take me along for the best parts.🤩
Thank you so much for reaching out! Whether far or local, I hope you get a chance to explore and have a great meal🙂
tim this is a great review thank you tim ,the food looked great
It was quite the experience.. too much lobster one might even say 😉
Really loving the Singapore content. The stuff in France was good too
This episode was so good i watched it twice❤❤
Thank you so much... It's interesting to see how much lobster they served ... probably the widest selection I've had 😁
Thank you Tim. Laksa looks wonderful. God bless you too. Wonderful food in Singapore
Thank you so much and all the best to you and yours 🙂
Always enjoy eating with you Tim.
Thank you and likewise 😉
Drooling here again😋
😉😋
The various lobsters with sauces all looked good. But then the Indian station looked even better. Desserts looked like jewels. Very jealous! Hello from foggy and cloudy Corvallis Oregon.
The buffets you visit are exquisite Tim! The good quality is superb, there is so much lobster 😮
It was a bit of a lobster overload. Very enjoyable but you do have to enjoy lobster for this Buffet
What's wrong with North America food ? He apologized for a dish being North America. He lives in North America. But he hates North America ? Like so many so the North American doesn't even care about these haters there are so many.
Tim,
Great video.
Cheers
Thank you 🙏
Nice find!
This was quite a nice experience and it was thanks to the recommendation of Keith 🙂
great video! lotta lobster
You do need to enjoy lobster for this Buffet 😉
Hi Tim you had a lot of lobster there my friend nice buffet. Can't wait until you come back to the states........... thank you so much for sharing
Hi Tim,following your gastronomic adventures. I’m a big supporter all the way from
Durham, North Carolina. USA.
Great presentation. Keep eating.🎉 Be safe in your travels.🤪
I had to watch the whole video. This is one of those must try buffets of the world for Southeast Asean foods. That prime rib in braising sauce looked incredible. Having authentic Indian food a corner away from awesome seafood is a foodie's dream. Enjoy another food paradise, Tim! Gracious as always
Yea I'm sticking to plain Lobster butter lemon
The Fukame sauce is what the little friend needs. And a little bit of wiresnipperdoodle.
Oh Tim!, you really did it this time, I thought your videos couldn't get any better 😋, I just can't resist!!, love the rain in Singapore, love the food , love the atmosphere, I can never get enough of you and your food glorious food, what a way to end the 🌃 night, yum yum and yum!!!😋😸🌺😜**
Thank you so much for your kind comment and gosh does it ever rain hard here in singapore. Have you visited Singapore much?
No, but one day I'd like to*
that was wonderful
Looks delicious Tim, 😋😋
So glad I've had three nights of seafood - and now watching this - haha. Had Singapore Chili crab tonight - last night garlic butter Silver Bream fish - night before that Cajun prawns, Mortan bay bugs and crawfish!
That is one cool buffet... lobster, lobster, lobster. Throw in some soft shelled crab... yum!
This guy is. .. easy like Sunday mornings.😎
There’s something relaxing about a lobster buffet
Fantastic Videos Tim..If your in Vegas pls video the Heart Attack Grill. It's on my bucket list.
I've passed by it a few times and got a chance to say hi to the owner/doctor there. Really interesting fellow
Ooo looks pretty good 👍🏼
A lotta lobster! :-)
That's A LOT of lobster - wow!
HI TIM!!! 💙💙 LOVE YOUR HAIR CUT.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
It's a bit of a lost cause but thank you so much
Hi Tim, l think the fluffy white rice you are having is Basmati rice which goes well with curries and spicy dishes.
What a feast! 🤤
That was a lot of lobster, and very enjoyable
LOL I am from Singapore and don't even know this exists! You da man!
Blue raspberry, created flavor 🥴🤙🏼🏵️💚😋🤤
Ah, now it makes sense 🙂
OMG so jealous...we are planning on visiting next summer (postponed from the first summer of COVID), Thank you for this recommendation and preview!
That sounds like a wonderful trip! I'm sure you'll have a blast after a bit of a wait 🙂
Hi Tim , I’m frm india Bangalore. Kodivaruval is a popular South Indian chicken delicacy.
The chicken is marinated and cooked until tender. Later it is stir fried briefly with aromatics like curry leaves and spices for a burst of flavors.
Loved the lobster mania buffet
That sounds so delicious. Really love the flavors of Currey leaves
All of the food looked great. The tea looks butterfly pea tea.
Oh, that's a nice tea, but I don't think that's what it was..
That was a LOT of lobster! Especially at the price point (considering how much it costs for just.a single piece here in NY). Always enjoy your videos! You have such a genuinely kind nature to you (that kind of reminds me of my dad) and I always enjoy your videos as a result. Glad you had such a great meal.
I must say, it was a lot of lobsters to the point of being too much. You really do need to enjoy lobsters to visit this Buffet 🙂
Try the Festive & Lobster buffet at Southeast Asia's first Express Cafe & Bar in Holiday Inn Express & Suites Singapore Novena. They have the most heavenly lobster laksa, 'kam heong' lobster, Roast Beef with Bak Kut Teh Jus, Turkey with Nonya Buah Keluak black nut stuffing, and Baked Ham with Sugarcane Molasses, amongst others, all paying tribute to the heritage of the area. Just tried it last weekend and absolutely wonderful, alongside their signature Sugarcane cocktail.
Hello Tim Lee wow sound amazing food looking Rocking Jamming yummy & Delicious finally selection Lobster I like Indian Lobster curry sauce enjoy food trip Singapore stay safe 🙏🏼🌹watching from California happy thanksgiving 🦃🍁🍽
My man Tim, Mr jet-setting traveler!
Might have overdone it a little bit, I got a deal on this flight to Asia that I booked last year 😉
Hi Tim, l think the fluffy white rice that you have is basmati rice. It goes well with spicy food.
Love seeing you. I honestly dont think I can eat enough to justify a buffet like that, 😢
Kodi varuval is a South Indian spicy chicken dish. Not so common at buffets but indian food is popular at buffets these days globally. The lobsters look fantastic.😊
The desserts look like the kueh i told you about at Bengawan Solo.
The green one with glutinous rice below is Kueh Salat - made of coconut kaya. Known in Malaysia as seri muka. Nyonya is pronounced as "No -nia". If you went to a traditional Chinese kopitiam try the Kaya Toast. kaya spread is available in jars to take home to Canada if you like. Examples of kopitiam at malls - Breadtalk, Wang, Yakun.
I love Earl Grey anything! My daughter and my cousins love Earl Grey too! We are in Australia n those cousins are in Toronto!
Thank you so much! Those desserts were delicious. I wish I had enough room for the chicken at the end, but just too many items to choose from 😁
hi Tim , I watch all your vids & enjoy them all. wish i could go with you everywhere. I'm in Phuket,Thailand so if your going to thailand would love to meet you.
Thank you so much, actually I was just in Bangkok and really enjoyed it there. I'm currently in the Singapore area
Tim, The Indian Layered dessert looked very light and tasty. Tamago tip I will have to try. Favorite lobster, gheez, darn difficult to choose. Likely all of them. I broiled two 4oz lobster tails with a butter / garlic sauce for dinner this evening. Pretty good though pales in comparison. My dessert is refrigerated peanut butter right out of the jar. Also good though not as exotic as that served at your dinner. Lobster bisque looked tasty. Best
Nothing like the classic butter garlic lobster. Thank you so much and that sounds like quite an efficient dessert... Always some at hand
I need to go to singa pore that looks so good and I would gobble up so much lobster
Boy you sure do get around. 😂 Thanks for sharing
I think I might have overdone it with the travel a bit 😉
Your vlogs are so amazing. Singapore is not close. Did you travel to specifically eat these meals?
Oh, I booked this trip a year ago on a massive seat sale. It's a little bit of vacation a little bit work remote and a little bit eating as well
I like how they served the Lobster in multiple sauces. As always your tip of using the Bisque as a dipping sauce is a great idea.
As a former Restaurant manager, having theses Lobster nights mid-week to drive business is the way to go. That is if it's not offered all week.
I didn't know you were a former restaurant manager! It is a nice way to attract people midweek 🙂
@@TimLeeLetsGo Yes for a little over 15 years. Enjoy your night Tim 🌙
Welcome to Singapore! Glad you enjoyed the J65 lobsters which I've also featured in my CZcams Channel. Anyway, if you want a Seafood Buffet that is more amazing, go to Shanghai. The buffet there is actually of another level
Thank you so much! Wow Shanghai!😲🙂
Loves your videos. My family are absolute foodies and buffet freaks. Can you please suggest a seafood buffet in Vegas, Seoul, Ha Noi, Ho Chi Minh city, Singapore, Bangkok, Tokyo? Or any buffet(s) in one of these cities that stands out? An absolute must go! Thank you so much.
My goodness! Are you doing a lot of traveling? If you can make the buffet at the M resort on Sundays in vegas, it is a nice experience but the reservation list is long. The copper buffet in Bangkok was definitely very worthwhile.
@@TimLeeLetsGo tysm!
lots of yum oh food
It was quite a few dishes for sure 😋
The green white dessert is called puteri salat. Top is pandan jelly and bottom ix coconut milk glutinous rice... my fave since cnildhood. Welcome to singapore!
Do Visit east coast park food centre and little india
Thank you so much and can't wait to visit Little India 😃
Oh geesh 🤤😋
Tim you are the best food you tuber some other food you tuber took a whole plate of food pile up like a mountain and ate without table manner i wonder do they really enjoy the food
Thank you so much for your kind comment. It's kind of interesting when filming. as how you take the food is a little bit different than what one would do regularly. It's quite interesting 🙂
I agree , I stopped watching some foodies because every bite they took all over the world was delicious and that's not possible !
G'day ! from Aussie land.
Hi Tim, give you an early LIKE the min this get uploaded
Thank you so much 🙏
Ciao Tim 👋👋
Greetings from Greenwich London ⚓️⛵️
Cheers 🦞🦐🥢🍷😋👍🌹✅
Warmest greetings to you 🙂
Again you did it @TimLeeLetsGo Mr Tim. Have you tried the famous chilli crabs?
at first glance i thought the unidentified topping was sea urchin ( uni ) but at closer look i can see it's some type of prepared topping which may include uni but i think it's some type of crab roe sauce but i suppose it can just stay unidentified if it taste good...that lobster in black sauce looked really good...On the card you showed i think the words are combined on the limited room of the card the 2nd word Varuval is the style of cooking like a dry curry or fried dry curry... the first word Kodi i guess is chicken i only seen it as Koli but in the U.S. so it may have been interpreted wrong or a different dialect when i have seen it...it's pretty good but i suppose it does just look like fried chicken bits compared to all the other dishes around
Thank you so much and yeah, I believe that was crap roe. Much appreciate the details...it did resemble a fried chicken but the aromas were wonderful
Peach tea good too
Hi Tim! Their laksa is very good; not so rich yet delicious. I love their laksa! Not sure there was Pulut hitam (purple porridge dessert) at the time u went, Put the whole cup of with coconut ice cream into the Pulut hitam (purple porridge dessert), is simply delish! try their weekends lunch buffet, their oxtail stew, nasi Bryani are marvellos! BTW, MBS'' (RISE) buffet, is a hit/miss as their standard differs drastically. Waste of calories/time/money.
I miss their buffets
@@trinatanIYN their weekend lunch buffets are so so good!
Wow.....
That was a lot of lobsters 😋
Is this only available on Wednesday?
Is there a good all you can eat seafood and prime rib place near the border like Cornwall or in that area? Thanks
I would love to find out too..
Like the blue “blueberry “ drink
So much lobster for a very good price. A question; is there no alcohol served at restaurants in Singapore? I like when you enhance the eating experience with wine or champagne. I always become hungry when you have potato salad or potatoes served in any form. I love potatoes! 😂 Another enjoyable video, Tim. Many thanks for taking me along. 👍🏻🌹👍🏻
I think generally beer is available...wine is also available but it needs to be imported in, and with the high taxes in Singapore, you're probably paying over $100 for a $20 bottle of wine. The fellow at one of the restaurants mentioned this.
Alcohol can be found at restaurants. However , only bars & restaurants with the appropriate licenses are allowed to sell alcoholic beverages till midnight. Stores with liquor licenses are only allowed to sell alcoholic beverages till 10.30pm daily, these include convenience stores and retails shops and no drinking in public areas like parks after 10.30 pm till 7am. Singapore has strict drinking laws to avoid drunk people causing disturbance in neighbourhoods.
just started your video but had to pause at 4:07 to say that it may just be the food coloring. ok, now, back to the video. 😊
Thank you Gail, I suspect there might be a lot of food coloring
@@TimLeeLetsGo you are wonderful. you know that? so glad i found your channel some time back.
Eat along with Tim. Cheers.
Always fun to eat together 😋
OK, this is BLISS. :D
It is a nice Buffet 😋
Yesss Lobster
you should have tried the king crab legs!
That was one of the problems, I took pictures of the king crab, but by the time I was ready, they were all gone 🤦🏻♂️😉
@@TimLeeLetsGo So they don't like to refill it? interesting...
Tiiim 😃
🙂
To the person reading this, even though I don't know you. I wish you the best of what life has to offer 🙏 🙌 😊❤
How much is the buffet?
Tim, so much dissing of durian in one video! I’m starting to get offended lol
LoL...my goodness, I didn't realize how prevalent durian was over here in Singapore 🙂
Tim, this is way better than Bacchanal in Vegas.
It's pretty surprising that many of the buffets here are on par if not better than those of Vegas 🙂
I, would have ended up in an food coma🥰🤤😋❤️🥰🤤😋!
Was the lobster fresh?
I believe so...at least I'm certain about the grilled lobster. I suspect that Norwegian lobster might have been frozen
23:14 stews to perfection after that 😂?
Hello. It's good to finally see some vegetables on your plate but it wasn't enough to balance the whole meal.
Yeah, I know 🙂. I think those are what's known as token vegetables😉
Hi Tim. what do you do for work sir..and is it remote? are they looking for any new employees? how would we get in contact? what are the qualifications?
Well, I really have been pushing it with the work remote policy
TIME is it hot or cold in the end my friend.
It seems to always be warm in Singapore
Good work. But how can you not know that kueh was made of pandan
Still learning 😋
Lol Duran pengat is the best. Too bad you don't like durian. Smells bad to some but taste so yummy. Durin has a very creamy texture and taste either sweet or someimes a mixture of slight bitterness
I've noticed it seems to be more pungent in Singapore and Malaysia 🙂
durian is nice 1:41
I've just noticed in my hotel room, that the fine for smoking is $250, yet the fine for having Durian in your room is $300
@@TimLeeLetsGo ya! Some even fine u for 500? So.. what does it have to do with durian is nice? A person is dumb and deserves the fine if they eat in the hotel room~ it is perfectly fine as long as u don't eat in the room
Hello Tim loved the video the food looked delicious
But I need to ban you from saying confetti in your next video I counted at least 4 times
Lol
Have a great day 🎉
Heh, I guess I did say confetti a bit here 😉
