Baldur's Gate 3 bug - Permanently stuck in camp (late Act 1 spoilers)

- Tentative repro steps:
1) Complete the first region as thoroughly as possible
2) move on to the mountain pass, head straight to the monastery
2b) do the puzzle required to get the crest thing for The Blood of Lathlander
3) show the artefact to anyone asking for it
4) go into the prism when asked, don't kill the guardian
5) get out, do that fight, and that fight only
6) head into the area where you can find The Blood of Lathlander
7) get it the good way by inserting the crest
8) go to camp and long rest
9) NOW, FROM THERE, try to go back to the previous region through fast travel
10) instead of warping you back to the other region, this warps you to an apparently wrong campsite (? wrong background) where you are forced to long rest
11) scenario thing happens
12) you awaken in the "wrong campsite" still
13) you cannot fast travel out and leaving camp puts you back in the first camp
14) from there, you still cannot fast travel and leaving camp does nothing
If you fast travel from outside camp from the spot I was in (in the Blood of Lathlander's chamber) then everything works fine. Once you exit camp it processes the fast travel - Hry
Encountered the same issue with the same scenario except that I did not use the crest to get the Blood of Lathander. Looks like the main trigger is travelling to camp or another region directly from the secret chamber. I loaded an earlier save and travelled to a waypoint in the same region before going to camp and it worked fine.
The game is already frustrating for someone new to the genre. Then they add bugs where you can't travel to camp, without giving you hint as to why that is.
I know im four months late, just ran into this issue, I fixed it for myself by physically choosing the "leave camp" option on the waypoint travel options.
the thing is, wyll is "in" my party while stuck in camp, so I cannot move to mountain pass :(
anyone manage to solve?
